Ahhh... Lifes ambiguities. I can't always be there to watch and comment but when I do... Lol! Now there are many choices in life and one gift is to get inspired by your drive and ambition. Colette, to many of us out there who strive for a better place in this world... keep it up because your doing your part to make it so. Thank you.
That’s a good looking squirrel with all red fur! We have all gray ones or gray ones with white bellies, at least in the Northeast of the US where I live. You’ve created the enchanted environment they were looking for all along!
How absolutely enchanting Colette 😍 I adore squirrels and foxes....and all God's creatures. We do not have the pleasure of their presence in our Melbourne garden however....we have our sweet possums. In suburbia they are somehow looked upon as pests; eating shoots, shrubs and buds. I have a trade-off with them... I provide them food and they leave my plants intact 😉 System/deal worked and still works.
They are so at ease with me as I do my nightly possum feeding rounds with my English Bull Terrier. Every evening I put out chopped fruits for them on various 'feeding stations' around the garden. On weekends they get treats of jammed breads. I got to, as their habitats are usurped by us human beings. Their dear faces and oh the sweetest babies piggy-backing their mothers. I am overjoyed that they are so at ease with me as they clutch my fingers with both their little paws wanting me to hand feed them ❤
In the mornings the colourful raucous Rainbow Lorikeets (smaller parrots) arrive for their seeds and apples. Bird seeds aplenty for other birds who chose to grace our gardens. Thank you Colette, you continue to inspire me so. Lots of love to you, Jack and kitties from me and 🐶 Bruder 😘😘😘
So glad squirrel 🐿 has a such a nice safe place to live ! Beautiful 😊
I'm an introvert and an empath. Love the red squirrel. Good for you Colette.
I can't put to words the happiness in seeing that dear red squirrel. Can you imagine its delight in finding Bealtaine! haha Bless its dear heart and you and Jack, too! So happy, I think it's there to stay. 🌷
SUBLIME 🌳
I found these words in a book and thought of you (unknown author) ...
TREES are the most trusting of all living creatures because they trust enough to put their roots down in one place, knowing they'll be there for life.
Love and Blessing 🐿
The land and cottage loves you so much they are wrapping their arms around you. Squirrel is beautiful.
Loved this video thank you Colette 💝amazing to see the Red Squirrel,of all the trees in all the land,it found Bealtaine, lol,it must be a She 🙏💖
Dear Colette, I admire you, you are just a sorceress! I told everyone about your Garden of Eden!
For 2 years I have been fond of permaculture and natural farming. I read books by Bill Mollison, Sepp Holzer, and others who practice. I am subscribed to the Russian-language TH-cam channel, where one of your videos "The Irish Miracle! Creating a Permaculture Garden in 13 Years" was translated, I was endlessly inspired by this video! This is how I found your channel. What you show is incredible! The riot of greenery is so beautiful, the abundance of nature.
Unfortunately, we do not have a land plot yet. But this did not stop us, my husband and I made a green balcony!
We live in Estonia, this in Northern Europe, the summer is cool, damp and there is little sun. But we managed to grow a huge amount of vegetables on the balcony. Tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, peppers, green beans, broccoli, sugar peas, beets, carrots, corn, sunflowers. In early spring, the garden delighted us with delicious sweet radishes and herbs: salads, arugula, spinach. Later, dill, parsley, lemon balm, leafy celery, and basil appeared. All plants were selected very carefully so that they would be our helpers and good neighbors to each other. And we were also glad that we fed a lot of wild bees and bumblebees!
There was a lot of pollen from sunflowers, calendula, cucumber, and marigolds. Different plants bloomed and bore fruit throughout the season.
Labor and love for plants create magic!
P.S. Your dog is charming!
Thank you for everything you do!
We made a video about our garden, in case someone suddenly wants to see it. th-cam.com/video/ySEKr_VJtAk/w-d-xo.html
Although I am getting a late start in life with regards to my property, I will be doing the same to The Hollow. A very magical place that I want everyone to respect. Thank you so much for sharing.

Such a beautiful red squirrel!
You really have created your own little paradise. I am so glad that there are environmentalists like you who care about our Mother Earth. Thank you for what you do.
I believe you said more than a year ago, Colette, that you were hoping Bealtaine would one day be hosting foxes. Well, the day has come! Halleluiah! Everything looks wonderful.
What a lovely birthday gift to have two new residents at Bealtaine! Love that squirrel and fox! Last October I was planting bluebonnets when I noticed a curious fox watching. Magic!
I hope little squirrel stays and has a family there.
It's people like you that are truly saving the world. Thank you thank you thank you! :)
What a testament to all your love and hard work to have a red squirrel. You must be over the moon!

You are so lucky! I dream of having a red squirrel in the garden. I did not know that they liked field maples, which is great news, I have a 20 foot one in the back garden and planted a row out the front last year (in the ever shrinking lawn!) I have hope that one day squirrels with come. Some have been seen here in the locality of Limerick. We had some lovely visitors this past week in the form of two young female pheasants, foraging in the garden, attracted by the berries of the leycesteria formosa (living up to it's name of pheasant berry!). I definitely don't think it takes oak trees 60 years to produce acorns, my mum has one in her garden and it's no more than 25 years old and it has loads of acorns on it! Thanks for sharing the beauty and inspiration of Bealtaine Cottage. Jack is looking well. x
The last time I saw a red squirrel I was 8 yrs old or there abouts on a leafy treelined road in Purley Surrey south london. After that the greys took over. What a fabulous siting. Permaculture saves the planet without a doubt.
You have created a paradise for all living creatures. I love the sound of the birdsong.
May I be so bold as to say Astounding Transformation. So many things to love in this video. The red squirrel is a delight. So happy he or she has found a home where it will be safe and nurtured. Blessings to you and dear Jack.
Thank you so much!
An absolute treat to have such a long video of Bealtaine. All your trees are amazing they bask in your love & care. How amazing to have a red squirrel in residence, Mrs Fix too. I expect before long badgers & deer will be visiting you.
Your Venus de Milo at the gate is in just the right place to introduce visitors to the wonders of Bealtaine Forest Gardens. Bless you for all the work you do for Mother Earth ❣️
I love the sound of a ticking clock, too. Something very homely and cosy about it. What an incredible transformation. A wonderful vision to behold.
I'm an empath, and sometimes the world is just far too harsh for me, and I have to retreat in order to protect myself. Which is why I long for my cottage near the coast with no neighbours too close by. The older I get, the more of a hermit I want to be. Thank you for sharing your world with us. SO, so inspirational. Love the red squirrel. How utterly delightful 🥰🥰🥰
Your land is so lush and vibrant an oh the joy of the red squirrel 🐿 he is very smart to find
A new home at Bealtaine cottage. Yes Colette the autumn mist , the Autumn 🍂 season
Of the harvest , I am aware of the mists , I do wonder if Jack would react if he sniffs out
The 🦊 also the spiders are also at *home , tis no wonder ,
thanks for this lovely vlog

The threads of web looked like garland intertwined throughout the bushes. Gorgeous!
Bealtaine Aphrodite, red squirrels, mists, hidden and new trees, warm fires, how very beautiful. I love the blues and greens of the cottage as a backdrop for the beautiful plants. Blessings to you and Jack. xo
The squirrel made me smile! It is always wonderful to see wildlife when it's free and relaxed in its environment.
Your home and land have so much positive energy. It draws one in. My feelings are that you give a lot of energy to the land and Mother Earth and so between the lands energy and what you give to it is where the magic comes into play. Yes, your home is magical and a very spiritual place. How wonderful you must feel to live there.
Dear Colette! I am so touched by this magical video! Thank you! Inmediately after watching it and still with tears of joy in my eyes I wrote some simple words that want to share with you:
"Enchanted land, where the magic of light dances with the colors of autumn. Land populated by hundreds of murmurs that weave the language of Bealtaine: speech of the earth and the sun, songs of the moon and the rains that speak to us with the voice of the bird and the bee, with the laughter of the falling leaves and the whistle of the wind"
Thank you for this magic! Blessings
We had an Oak tree when I was a kid, there's no way it was any where near that old when we kids use to "cook" it's acorns for our lunch. Red squirrel, red fox, you have a theme going. You are one hard working woman, I bet it's very good for your soul.
Wonderful sight. Spread the table and the guests will indeed come.
Good Morning Colette................you create a wonderful area for you......and in honour to Mother Earth.Blessings to you
I do love your enchanted cottage! 😉🇨🇦💜🐾🐿🌳
What a warm and cozy cottage you have created a heaven on earth with your very own hands. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Your new friend looked very happy to find the plentiful food. That was wonderful to see him or her! To think the fox was there also! Amazing.
🐿️ Magnifique! 🐿️
Oh Colette, I love squirrels! I do have grey ground squirrels but in the woods close by there are many many red squirrels also. I have a little grey squirrel that eats bird seed with the birds in the winter. I have named that little squirrel twinkie. He knocks on my big front window where I sit when they are needing food lol. I just adore him and the wild rabbits and oh so many birds and opossums and garden snakes...I may live in the city but I am a stones throw from the woods. This time of year has to be my favorite well and Spring....and ok all seasons :) I have not laid eyes upon a fox since I lived out in the country though sadly. What a joy to wake up get my coffee made and sit down to watch the beauty that is Bealtaine Cottage. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Brightest blessings to you and dear Jack.
We don’t have a tv either. Haven’t for years. We do use our smart phones and a nice laptop to find out whatever we want to know. In the world of entertainment we’ve noticed a definite die off of quality shows. So like you we often rewatch a really well done show having blissfully forgotten the details but loved the acting, the settings, the production, the story. I must say the best are mostly British. Terribly fond of Foyle’s War, all the Jane Austen’s, Endeavor, Wolf Hall, the PDJames series, oh a very long list. Same with books and music. Quality always satisfies.
Oh, Colette...Midsommer Murders is a favorite of mine, too. And, I can watch them over and over with pleasure, blissfully looking forward to the solution of the mystery, which I have hidden away in some recess of my aging mind. (I--unbelievably--turned 84 on September 26th!) The red squirrel is beautiful. Such fun to watch it's nimble moves through the leaves in search of another seed to munch on. FYI: I just purchased your latest book. I've heard a couple of the readings that you've done from it and look forward to immersing myself in it's tales of fairies and magical folk. Thank you. Fond Blessings, Dear One. :-D
Blessings to you and Happy Birthday xxx Colette
What you’ve done is extraordinary. I hope at least a few your neighbors have decided to join in your efforts.
You don’t destroy, you replace, I love that. Congratulations on a Red Squirrel and Fox finding your paradise. Creating enchantment on your land and inside your cottage is a great accomplishment, and so much fun. Thanks for sharing your magic.✨🌾
Colette, how magical and beautiful!😊🌞
This is a beautiful video, Colette. Thank you for sharing the beauty of Bealtaine Cottage at this wonderful time of year. And then, just when you think Bealtaine can't possibly get any better, the exquisite red squirrel puts in an appearance! So lovely! ❤
How amazing to capture the squirrel feasting!
Nature has come to you! How lovely 😊 I hope one day more will stay with me too but I live in a neighborhood so I would have fewer visitors. All the same, I very much enjoyed the stroll with you through the woodland. My hubby was lulled to sleep by your soft voice and beautiful scenery ☺️ We have white birch in our front garden and it is two in one. Our mimosa in the back garden is the same. Funny how they grow like twins! Thank you for the peaceful walk. Bright blessings to you and Jack 🌛🌝🌜
You have inspired me to plant more trees ( I think your red squirrel is going to stay . )
So beautiful!!! it surely lets you know you have a wonderful place to live if the others want to live with you! we have a tiny yard but a hawk landed in our yard this year to eat his lunch -not sure what is was -but he felt safe enough to spend twenty minutes in our yard I was so proud
Your cottage is an enchanting magical place. I love your Fairy Doll!
"We have forgotten her" made me feel quite emotional 😓 yes, let us hope it's not too late 💚
Absolutely gorgeous. I'm so inspired by your garden. Thank you 😊
Loving the energy of your videos I am in isolation as I was tested positive on Tuesday they are feeding my soul blessings
Blessings XXX
A magical safe sanctuary ✨ 💜
I have a little oak seedling that was a gift from a squirrel friend a couple of years ago .... It's safe in a pot so when I find the right place it will be planted....
You're so blessed to have the beautiful red squirrel living there!
Beautiful beyond words!
Your cozy cottage is so sweet ! 🐝
Yes, just beautiful!
I always call animals “she” now, if gender is unknown, because I called them “he” - like everyone else - for so long. ;o) Red squirrels are so beautiful and lively 💕❤️💕 Thanks for the treat
In all my years growing up in rural County Cork I have never seen a red squirrel..I was 23 when I left Ireland ..so it is an amazing event to see one in your garden..
The little red squirrel fills me with joy and celebration! So wonderful. Perhaps a mate will come to Bealtaine as well. =)
Newly uncovered field maples, four (?), wonderful, and just after the red squirrel was filmed eating off one. Thanks so much, and for sharing.
Mystical and magical. Blessing Colette and hugs to Jack 💚
Sooo, wonderful to see the gorgeous red squirrel, what a blessing. We too have several oak trees that are 10 years old and are prolific in their production of acorns. Lots of food for our wildlife. We have just planted several walnut trees from saplings under our existing walnut tree, such a lovely feeling. Thank you for the inspiration Colette 🌳🌿🌱💕
Dear Colette loved this video learning & watching how you worked your land inspiring l used to be such a tidy gardener too tidy not any more you've changed my caring for my garden.Thank you.🥀Kerry Australia
What an amazing early birthday present for you. Delightful.
Never seen a red squirrel- wonderful! Your videos are so calming and Jack always makes me smile. Thank you.
Oh so cozy 🤗. The squirrel is beautiful I hope there are many more. I would love to see a live fox, we do have them in this area. Much love to you and Master Jack from the USA. 🍁🍁🐾🦊🐿🤗🥰
What a blessing! A red squirrel! ( probably more than one! ) A very fitting reward for your endeavours. Beautiful footage. Thank you.
Ooh, my Birthday month too, 24th. What a wonderful reward for all your hard work, having that beautiful red squirrel take up residence. Have a wonderful day Collette and Sir Jack, much love.

Thank you Collete. You nourish your new little trees with your presence and you nourish us as well.
This is just so beautiful. I dream of having the opportunity to do something like this someday.
I love your content and especially your peaceful voice Colette
Colette, what amazing work you have done around your cottage. I came across your channel's name and was curious to see what's in there .. :) I am very impressed. You restored the one thing we all need - nature! As I know, the red squirrel almost disappeared from Ireland and it is so nice to see that you have one (or maybe more?) in your garden 😍
Wow what a wonderful thing that is..so exciting and beautiful. This is what you get for all your hard work you did in you paradise, I am so happy for you. I love seeing nature at its best. Well done you .blessings and a big paw to jack.. oh , its starting to get a bit hotter here in sa. Bye for now.
I love your stone circle
Oh my goodness - how incredibly magical. This is so lovely to see. Really heartwarming x
Beautiful blessings Colette and jack 💖💖🐝
It fills my heart with joy to see that red squirrel. While we have them here in the states, They are being pushed our by the grey squirrels. I grew up with red squirrels in Western PA, but moved east as an adult and saw only grey squirrels there.
Just beautiful Colette. I too have had a new squirrel come to a tree close to my house. I think the tree is a Willow Oak? There was 8 trees on this 2 acres when we moved here a couple years ago. Since then we've planted dozens and dozens of trees. This has been due in large part to your inspiring videos to plant trees. I haven't seen the Crows come around this season yet. They have been very entertaining in the past. They tend to clown around at the feeder. Thx for all you do...
I so enjoy your “walks with your coffee and sweet Jack.”
🪴 I must say & tell you that you inspire & keep me such great company as I live a quiet garden simple life . Lovely to listen & watch you as a kindred soul !
🌱SOUL TO SOIL 🌿
Thank you Leslie for your kind words...love that "Soul to Soil"
Good morning Colette and Jack, since last month, an old boyfriend landed here and needed a place to stay(and I can't get rid of him, he's practically moved in) I'm still watching your beautiful videos, but I'm overwhelmed by this sudden happening, and am just Burned Out!🤯 I love you Jack+ Colette. The Autumn is a beautiful time🍁🍂🏵️
Beautiful,it’s magnificent
Always so lovely and grounding to watch your videos Colette. You do an amazing job. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Blessings and I hope you have a wonderful birthday month!
Thank you so much!
Hello Colette , I'm new to your channel, I wanted to look for life in cottages and came across one of your videos , first I noticed not many guys or males commenting , well , my name is Johnny , I live in Chicago Illinois USA I'm 70 years old
I immediately fell in love with your cottage , Jack ,your accent ,,and all your beautifull surroundings. To be honest I've always dreamed of living a lifestyle such as yours , in a wilderness away from all the hoopla and dog eat dog world , (pardon the phrase, don't tell Jack)
Just living in peace with nature . I've watched about 15 of your videos so far and love them all .I'm not an all out vegan but I don't eat meat , I do like eggs milk , cheese and fish , I just stopped eating meat when I stopped smoking and drinking about 20 years ago , not that I did both heavily I enjoyed a nice cigar and a brandy now and again but , can't quite do it anymore ,, it did its damage and i woke up a tad too late , i have heart desease 3 heart attacks , i live with constant migraines , dizzy spells but i manage thanks to my Lord and Savior I'm also an ordained minister and musician.
Sorry I've gotten off track here , this isn't about me it's about you and your cottage , if I were to have a cottage I would want it to be as cozy and as surrounded by nature as yours ,,, thank you for sharing your videos and life with all of us here on youtube ,, my email is darthpastor@gmail.com, if you wish to contact me again thank you ,
God bless you and yours in all your endeavors,, johnny
