I've only just discovered you, Collette, a few weeks ago. But watching and listening to you and your beautiful, glorious Gardens of the Goddess seems like meeting up with a dear old friend every day. I am so thankful for your friendship over physical miles, but in spirit, close as a breath.
Bless your daughter, Deklan and yourself for helping the homeless kitties in your area. I have a great "population" of kitties myself. Having worked in the Veterinary field for many years, many were brought in by the city as strays or by owners who could no longer afford to care for them and they were slated for euthanasia. I couldn't let that happen and as I have the room in a retired horse barn, which has now become a cat barn, they will live out their little lives, happy, healthy, cared for and most of all loved. The joy they bring me is immeasurable. Each with their own personality making it quite interesting at times. 😉 Thank you all for your kindness to those less fortunate in the feline world.
I give thanks every day. I am most thankful for my health. Many people do not know how blessed they are until they loose what they had. Instead some people complain about not having enough until they see the other person with less! Precious Jack 🥰.
Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes even though you don't celebrate it in Ireland, that's so kind! Your tree is beautiful! Your house is always looks beautiful
Colette. You are so Darling. I love abundance as you do and its all around me. Always has❤❤❤ Thanksgiving is every day in my life Thanks for the wonderful video 🎉
I have 4 cats, my oldest one Misty went missing 2weeks and 4 days ago, I miss him so much he was my shadow. I like silver jewellery, I bought myself a moonstone ring and stud earings that match for my birthday 5 November. I remember wearing a hat to go to church when I was a child, my aunty had a mantilla we could not afford one . I stopped going to church when I left school at 16.never went back. Much to the family's annoyance. I love you videos. Blessed Be.
A wonderful Thanksgiving video, Colette! As some folks in the US are lamenting about how they can't have a "normal" holiday because of the pandemic recommendations, I remind myself that I am thankful to be healthy and live under a sturdy roof, in a home with central heat, running water, and electricity; that I have warm clothes on my back and food on my table.....plus, I have the Internet to see what's happening in this great big world! I am thankful for much and hope you and Jack had a lovely day and have a beautiful evening!
I keep a gratitude journal. Every night before going to sleep, I write down a minimum of five things that I was grateful for that day. Sometimes, the list gets quite long. Practicing gratitude seems to make me a happier person because all day long I am noticing even the little things that bring me joy. And, I am more content with what I have because I really don't need much to be happy.
Happy Thanksgiving Colette, Jack and everyone in the community. I am very grateful to have found you Colette, you are such an incredible and inspirational Woman. You share such wonderful, wise words and lessons that we all need at this time. Thank you for sharing a new way of living and being with us. Thank you for sharing Bealtine Cottage with us. Thank you for showing us what is possible when one truly strives for and lives their Dreams. Things right now are challenging and often harsh but as with all things in life we can walk through these times with Grace and Kindness if we choose to. We can all help others when we see someone who is struggling during these hard times and be an example of the lesson Colette shared today with us of being Kind as well as grateful. Sometimes I think we may forget that we are all connected here on Gaia and regardless of anything that separates us we are ALL one individual person but also a part of ONE Humanity. Many Blessings to All for a wonderful day full of health, love and happiness. 🌛🕊️🌜
Colette, my oldest daughter is a cat magnet, too. She spends more on cat food and litter than herself. Over the years she has had 17 cats fixed. Yet, everytime she turns around, another cat needing love. Hugs and blessings to you and jack. XXXOOO
Thank you so much Collette. I am thoroughly stuffed 🤣🦃. I hope you have had a wonderful day. Much love to you and Master Jack. I am thankful for you both, you make my lonely day delightful. 🦃💕😃🍁
I call it Thanksliving! And I’m with you Colette, I give thanks everyday! Thanks so much for another beautiful video and a peek into your magickal forest!
Thank You. Yes, everyday before my feet hit the floor I give Thanks, and before I go to bed I give Thanks. And thru out the day. Makes your heart fill with joy. I just love you decorated little precious tree. Those magpies are very chatty. I’m like you, soon as I step out the doors into yard/ woods nature, and birds take over my attention. Nature is beautiful.
Bless you, Colette - so good to spend a bit of Thanksgiving with you! Yes, about the ads on social media. And I'm sorry to say our new president-elect (about whom so many good people are too excited) has already named pro-war people to his staff. I need to get off Twitter, limit myself to You Tube programs like yours. Thank you!
Hello from Rocky Top Ms Colette💃Thank you for sharing your life there in Ireland. I just get lost in my imagination as you tour your land. It is the closest I will ever be to your homeland, thank you ☮️
Dearest Colette , Thank you , I am loving your beautiful tree with bobbles and twinkle lights is just Darling . I feel deeply sad for all the injustice in the world . I also don’t know why because like you said it doesn’t have to be this way . Sending Love and blessing and Gratitude for you Dear Heart and all the Sweet delights I have been blessed with .
Thank you Colette! My prayer is that we'll make living in gratitude a priority. I've discovered that gratitude makes me see the world in a much more positive light.
I loved the story of the red corduroy pinafore you received when you were a child. Children feel things so intensely, and to be able to recall the joy that you had in the texture and sight of your lovely pinafore is a gift. "Unless you become as little children, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven." Thank you for reminding us.
Another thought provoking video Colette. Funnily enough my partner and I were talking about shopping local today. We have to drive out to go to the shops, the big style supermarket is about 10 miles away but in the next village there is a local shop that has been run by the same family for over 100 years. It's one of the old type that you can go in and buy almost everything, from hardware, animal food, magazines, food, cards, coal, logs and just about everything inbetween. They get their produce from local farmers and we always go there for any fruit or vegetables. They may be a little bit more expensive, not massively so, but we know he's bought them from 3 local farms, has paid a fair price to the farmer and they haven't travelled hundreds if not thousands of miles to get here. Also it doesn't line the big supermarkets profits because as you say they don't care a fig for us. We either use our local shops or loose them. They work long hours and are an important part of our community. The weather here was misty this morning too, dragons breath, what a lovely description. We fortified ourselves with a warm drink and took the dog for a lovely walk along the coast where we have beautiful views across the Solway Firth to Scotland. It was quite cold but we wrapped up and had a lovely stroll. Doesn't a bit of fresh air and a walk outside make all the difference. Invigorating. I totally agree with you about the distressing images, they can ruin the day in an instant. War is big business, the powers that be don't want war to end, too much profit in it. It makes my blood boil. Your rant is totally understandable, the amount of money spent on killing is disgusting and unfathomable to any logically minded person. I give thanks for my love, my home, my children, my animals, the good wholesome food I eat and of course, my bed. Also for finding you this year and sharing your life at Bealtaine Cottage, such a place of hope and sanity in increasingly disturbing times. Blessings to you and Jack xXx
Oh Colette, I think we’re sisters from other misters! We think so much alike-horrible advertising, government spending, ill treated animals, hunger, love for nature and gratitude for all we have. (Stray cats too-that’s how I ended up with 9 at my largest colony, now currently 7) we are one with the Goddess without a doubt. Today, here in California my family is celebrating “Thanksvegan”. There are, for the very first time at my insistence, no animal products on the table. I feel so peaceful today 😌 So with that, I wish you a lovely evening and bright blessings to you and Jack ♥️🌛🌝🌜♥️
Good Morning to you Colette . Thank you for your video and nostalgia, 😃 I too was brought up in a Roman Catholic family, the black veil indeed I remember very well in the 60's I left school at the age of 15 in 1966. 2 weeks holiday then into work no hanging around in those days , £2.10 shillings a week £2:00 for my keep I got 10 shillings to spend or save, and I was rich in my opinion ,I knew all about saving for the things I wanted from an early age. I agree with your opinions on the commercials popping up ..I stopped using the social media sites a few years ago . I am in gratitude for life and the people who come into my life and those yet to meet. Hugs and blessings to you and Jack ...🌹💚
Hi Collette and Jack hope you are well. Just watched your latest video and I love the idea that some deep rooted ancestral memory can perhaps influence the way you dress. If that is the case I can only help but wonder on my ancestors as I have all the sartorial elegance of a lagged (think water tank) bag lady! I love visiting you at Bealtaine Cottage precisely because I know there will be no adverts showing the kind of cruelty you highlight and to which we are all in danger of becoming inured. I love watching your work developing and listening to your wise words and to Jack tap dancing his way out of your cottage in anticipation of a good walk. Bright blessings to you and the lovely boy Jack X
Thank you for that Happy Thanksgiving wish to us in the USA. Our kids and grandchildren enjoy the turkey meal, playing cards, having many laughs together. We have so much to be thankful for. Blessings to you🥰
Thank you, Colette. Happy Thanksgiving to you. Yes, we should be thankful everyday. Here in Alabama, I am also a woman on three acres. But I never feel alone and for that I am thankful. I don't have a Jack but I do have an Alice and for her I am thankful. All my needs are met therefore my wants are few, for that I am thankful. I am at peace and oh so thankful.....
That’s very kind of you and your daughter to take care of those finicky felines! I love the sound of Jack’s toenails on the tile. That’s something I miss about not having a dog. I adored my red MaryJanes (shoes) that I had when I was five years old, and I have yet to find any shoes I like any better, I’m now 54 years old ! I’m thankful for my garden year round, and for being able to drop into your magical world via your Vlog. Thank you! 🌱🎄🍁 🐾.
Jackie Kennedy wore a mantilla to Easter Sunday Mass in Florida - it was in all the newspapers and magazines. After that my mom wore them - she had one in white, one in black - to Mass and was looked down upon for being vain and proud. I thought she looked beautiful, and a few years after I wore them to church. Needless to say, not too many years later and we all, my immediate family, stopped going to Mass. Thank you for your video presence and sweet, soothing voice on a very unusual, but oddly peaceful Thanksgiving.
I agree about Facebook, not just the advertising but there's so much negativity there. I deleted my account on Sunday and the most amazing thing happened yesterday - I started singing and dancing around the house again, I feel like a big weight lifted off my shoulders. I guess it was bringing me down more than I realised. I loved the stories from your childhood btw, reminded me of my granny - she was a wonderful storyteller. Love to you and Jack x
We have Thanksgiving here in Canada too but it is usually the second Monday in October - very much harvest time for our garden . We usually have a family meal predominately of our garden treasures and we give thanks to Mother Earth for our bounty . I am missing you ,but am enjoying videos I have not yet seen of yours. Thinking about you Colette❤️
Thank you Colette. Thanksgiving should be everyday. Much Love and Blessings to you from Kentucky, U.S. I always look forward to your videos. So Lovely there.
I believe people were more grateful before the mass availability of credit, when we had to save our money to buy something non essential, or when we had to work to grow the food we ate etc. Blessings, Colette.
I heartily agree on the need for an International Convention on the Basic Treatment of Animals, with sanctions on countries that don’t comply. Factory farms, wet markets, illegal poaching of elephant tusks and rhino horns, capturing parakeets to cage out of their environment, etc., much as the subject is unpleasant, could be discussed and addressed. Consciousness raising through international law about the basic treatment of animals is linked to overall renaissance about the environment
Love your stories dear Colette, also your video capturing the birds disturbances , brought a sense Of life in Nature , an yes , dress-up and feel good, why not ! An oh your wonderful Jack to have with you, plus the Christmas tree in the cottage All make for a beautiful peaceful viewing.thanks so much 🤷♀️ Mary Canada 🇨🇦
Happy Thanksgiving Collette and Jack! I always enjoy your videos, but u really and truly spoke to the core of my being! There is no reason for the atrocious behaviors carried out by the power hungry greedy politicians and such! We have so much to be grateful for, nobody owes us anything, so each day is a gift. The gift of life with family and loved ones! U dont have to make videos and share your beautiful place with us and your heart, bet yet u do, and u certainly don't owe us. It is a gift and I am very appreciative of it. Many blessings to u and all your family!
Hi Colette, you and I are about same age. I was born Aug 1955, and we would wear a "mantilla" on our head before we would go into the Catholic church service. This was back in the mid 60's here in the West coast of USA! Actually I never realized at what point we stopped wearing them 🤔 later as an adult I left the Catholic church.
I just absolutely love watching these videos of your home and surrounding land, nothing else quite like it... so very beautiful and uplifting... thank you for sharing and all your hard work. 💓
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday here in the States. It’s the only one that’s about great food, lots of family time, and America’s favorite thing…sports. But I certainly try to practice gratitude everyday. I’m grateful for you and your beautiful home!
Hello Colette such a lovely video you can rant all you want we agree 100 percent. We do live in the USA and we celebrate Thanksgiving Day but my husband RJ and I give thanks every day. I'm not a social media person. Only TH-cam and I only pick the channels that inspire me or have content that I'm interested in. Blessings and hug's to Jack💚
Look at that Mahonia! And your kitchen... 😊 The skies of late have been amazing when the grey has been away, and the sunsets quite glorious. 👍 I used to dress up so much that my time of that is done... for the time being at least. 🤗 Those lane views and the running water... bliss. 😊 Jack is so enjoying the sniffling and snuffling. 😀
Misy and damp here in Kentucky. It's not cold though . My dog, Jackson, and I are cooking a traditional meal . I'm getting pretty hungry. My husband told my best friend , when she couldn't find a short enough tree , to cut it off . She got a tree and did , almost, as he said . Her family came home and almost died laughing. She had cut the top part off , threw it away , put up the lower part and decorated it. She gets reminded of this incident every Christmas. Blessings too you and Jack.
Colette 😂 I hear you. I used to work in Camden. I never, ever went a single day without dressing up for work and I remember one day a girl saying to me... What is the occasion? And I said today is the occasion 😂 I am like a total scruff if I am around the house, but I never go out without some effort because as you say... It makes you feel great ❤️
Thank you for the stateside Thanksgiving wish Colette! Lovely little Christmas tree! You have inspired me to start decorating plans. I had to get myself going to make a traditional New England traditional dinner. The boys look forward to that after a challenging year on the farm. So I had a small frozen turkey, all the fixins, including baking powder biscuits ( what do they call those in Ireland, scones?) pumpkin and apple/cranberry pie with real whipped cream. It was lovely. And now we have leftovers! For today , I will unearth Christmas cards... Your acreage looks well kept. I see your handy work everywhere. I see the "artist touch" in your cloths. We farmers call that " sprucing up". Creative is good :-) Thank you for reminding me to fuss about with my clothes and self care, as I continue to shelter. Art just isn't meant for my water color sketch pad , now is it ? Jack is such a good friend, making sure the path ahead is safe for your walk. All the best~Diane
My husband feeds the neighbor's cat who is quite poor. His owner can only afford some cheap dry food. So my husband and other feeds him a selection of wet foods, whatever he likes. That's how it is. Oct. 2022 from near San Diego.
It’s beautiful when those who aren’t American take the time to wish us a Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you. Love and Peace to all. 🍁🍁🍁💛🍁🍁🍁Blessings to your daughter. I’m a cat rescuer. It’s much more difficult than people realize. Bless her! 🐾🐾
You are right about the shops...and I love that cow painting above the xmas tree! Looking at methods to de-stress today and your video topped things up! Love the fancy boots!!! 😉👍💜🇨🇦🐾🎄🎁 LOL we wore those mantillas to church, too! Good rant!!!⚘
Thankfulness is a practice I do everday, every morning when I step outside into my pretty garden, I'm thankful and grateful. So grateful for my home, and those that reside within it. This morning as I watch this, on the other side of the world in New Zealand, I'm thankful and grateful for the rain last night that has nourished my garden and fed the earth 😊 Edit: I ditched FB months ago, it's been the very best decision I have ever made. Awful awful platform, it breeds hate, bullying and judgement. I will never have FB, never.
Colette, enjoying some of your older posts today. This one reminds me of the John Keats poem”To Autumn”. In particular the line…”Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness…”. Actually, the whole poem reminds me of your beautiful cottage and 3 acres. 💜💫
Oh Collette you brought out old memories when you talked about the Mantna you wore in your Catholic years. When I was in my teen year days my father would wake us to attend the first mass every Sunday morning even though there were several later. I was never a morning person yet to this day I'm a night 🌃 owl. We had to wear scarves to mass, but when I discovered the lacey doilie I wanted to wear that instead. My father forbids me to enter the ⛪ with it on, so I sat outside until he went into the front of the church & I sat in the back with my black lacey Dollie on my head. When he saw me as I went up to receive my communing & he saw me he looked furious at me, but I wore that black lace Dollie to mass from then on without my father being angry at me. I gave up the church fifty years ago & have been following my father's & my oral tradition ever since which brought me closer to the creator than any church ⛪ ever has. So on this Thanksgiving day, I give thanks to you the goddess, Pachamama that I discovered where my spirit resides. My the Goddess Bless you and Jack on this day. Lei The Crone
Your rant is mine too! I can´t agree more with your thoughts Colette! Regarding your story of the corderoy pinafore, it brought me the memory of one that I had and that I loved! It was burgundy, and my mother had bought it for me at Harrods. Well, you probably wonder Colette: Didn't Marcela live in Buenos Aires? Well, yes, and in Buenos Aires, Argentina, there was a branch of the wonderful English store, it was the first and only branch outside its country of origin which was open for 84 years, can you believe it? My pinafore was gorgeous, surely very similar to yours, mine matched a floral blouse in the same tone, this pattern was repeated in the breast pocket. Beautiful old memories! Big hug!
Ps Your ranting is very justified , thank you Colette , I also feel very angry at. The Cruelty. Of mankind . An I add my voice to yours for Thanksgiving , amen 🙏
A blessed day to you, Colette!
Sweet Jack! I am thankful for the time you walked this earthly plain with Colette. ❤
I've only just discovered you, Collette, a few weeks ago. But watching and listening to you and your beautiful, glorious Gardens of the Goddess seems like meeting up with a dear old friend every day. I am so thankful for your friendship over physical miles, but in spirit, close as a breath.

Happy Thanksgiving from Ireland x
I love how in the winter we can really get a good look at all the shapes of the trees and the different bark. Beauty 🌠
Lovely presentation, so relaxing. Thanks for advocating for animals too.
Good Morning to you Colette .

I’m thankful for my garden year round, and for being able to drop into your magical world via your Vlog. Thank you! 🌱🎄🍁 🐾.
I agree with you every step of the way, Thank you, blessings to you too. xx
Love the tree Colette , You are SO organised . Love and Blessings

Love you Collette , Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🦃 from Kentucky 🙏🏻🇺🇸😘💐💕🍀
Thank you my sweet friend!!!!!! Love you! ~ Bridget 💜💜💜
Thanksgiving should be every day of our lives. Blessings to you and Jack!
Thank you! Your tree is gorgeous! Blessings to you &your beautiful boy!♥️🇺🇸

Actually I never realized at what point we stopped wearing them 🤔 later as an adult I left the Catholic church.
haha...I do remember the glamour of the mantilla and how I loved the mystique it bestowed upon me!
I just absolutely love watching these videos of your home and surrounding land, nothing else quite like it... so very beautiful and uplifting... thank you for sharing and all your hard work. 💓
Merci pour votre vidéo je me retrouve dans votre vision de la vie
Thank you, Colette 🇺🇸 and please hug Jack for me!
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday here in the States. It’s the only one that’s about great food, lots of family time, and America’s favorite thing…sports. But I certainly try to practice gratitude everyday. I’m grateful for you and your beautiful home!
I agree with you Colette 👩🌾🌺 Thanksgiving should be everyday 🥰🧡
Happy Thanksgiving dear Jack, I hope you Mom whips up a nice Goodie for you in your Bowl. I love you both🧡💜💛You bring Joy Tomy life.
Goodie! I've not heard that word for years!! It was a quick snack on a Saturday morning in our house when I was a child. 🙂
Thank you for bringing peace to my morning.
Thank for another lovely video. Blessings.
The view out each of your windows is just breathtaking.....love and thankyou for your videos (especially commercial free!)
I agree we should give thanks everyday. I love your home. Sending love and MERRY CHRISTMAS from Texas.
I've had over 150 finches here this morning getting food. Lord! That's a bit too many. The hummingbirds can't get to their feeders. LOL!
Hi, I recently discovered your channel and I'm very thankful. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. 😊❤
Thank you from Florida for the good wishes! What a lovely tree! Looking forward to receiving your calendar. Blessings.
What a great memory! I was 15 in 1965 and wearing mantillas to church was all the rage here in Florida as well in the Episcopal church.
Hello. Your house is very nice!!!
Good night!! 🌟🧚♀️
Bless you both for feeding the cats 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱 ❤❤❤❤❤ big cuddles to Jack too ❤❤❤
Misy and damp here in Kentucky.
Francis Johnson that is such a cute story. thank you for sharing✨🙏
I love that Christmas tree. it's so not over-done. It has context. It comes from the land, and not someone who grows trees to cut them down.
It makes you feel great ❤️
Colette, I love your tree! So very pretty!
How delightful to see a video from you on Thanksgiving! Thank you. Along with so much I am grateful for, I am grateful for you.💞
Thank you for the Thanksgiving wishes. Blessings to you! That is a beautiful tree you de orated. I love it!
Thankyou Colette! Bright Blessings to you & Jack, from western Massachusetts.
Western Massachusetts is so beautiful
Lovely video. Love your real Christmas tree ❤️
As my mother would say, “you will have treasure in Heaven!”
Your voice is so calming.
And when you describe your garden and woods and babbling brook, and pond and birds is enchanting.
This morning as I watch this, on the other side of the world in New Zealand, I'm thankful and grateful for the rain last night that has nourished my garden and fed the earth 😊
Edit: I ditched FB months ago, it's been the very best decision I have ever made.
I love your videos and aspire to live more like you ♡
I am feeding three stray cats myself.
Plus some possums.
Big hug!
Ps
Your ranting is very justified , thank you Colette , I also feel very angry at. The Cruelty. Of mankind .
An I add my voice to yours for Thanksgiving , amen 🙏
