Hi There! I actually love working with both. The size 3 and 4 are the 2 middle size yarns that you can use to make virtually anything. The 3 weight yarn, being thinner, will make something lighter weight and slightly less bulky than the size 4 weight yarn. Because both of these sizes can make virtually any project you can next focus on colors you love and textures you want to play with. 🤗💖🧶
Great question. I did not say how much yarn was needed to make this project because it is all based on personal preference. This is also why I say "repeat row 3 for row 4 until your last row." I have no idea what you want your last row to be, how long or short you want your shawl to be, how tight or loose your stitch tension is or how thick the yarn is that you are using. If you are wanting a shorter shawl, depending on the skein of yarn, you might be able to use just one skein. A medium length shawl, two skeins. A larger shawl will usually take at least 3 skeins. Again, all depending on what yarn you are choosing to use. 😊🧶💖
@@CrochetWithTiffany maybe you could tell hook size and weight of completed project. I know it helps me to know! Even beginners (like me 4 years now) understand the difference with different hook size and different yarn weight completely changes the project. Just knowing what YOU used & needed for YOUR project would be helpful.🙏🏼 ps. I used to faithfully watch your tutorials and loved them. But you have condensed your tutorials to 15 or 20 minutes, never showing making & finishing the project. I really loved your longer tutorials and I think I learned much more from them. Thanks Tiff❣️
Hi @marciamuldoon4738! OH! I mean my CWT EcoLuxe Gemstone Yarn Line. I'm connected to a yarn shop that makes their own Bamboo yarn. They are located really close to me, we found each other during a Yarn Crawl Event. We decided to collab and they let me create which yarn fibers I wanted to join together in the yarn and which colors I wanted. It's pretty awesome! 80% Bamboo, 20% Sorona (a corn based elastic) so plant based, strong, machine wash and dryable, hypo-allergenic, and a size 3 weight yarn which you can use to make almost any crochet project. If you would like more information you can find my yarn on my website, crochetwithTiffany.com, under SHOP. 😊💖🧶
You're Welcome! I'm so happy you chose one of my projects to make for your friend! I'm sorry she is going through this and I'm sure she will appreciate you thoughtful gift so much. 🤗💖🧶
Its beautiful ❤ Can you tell us how much yarn you used for the size you made. I understand the variables, but looking for idea of how much yarn to purchase. Thank you 😊
Sure! I used 2 hanks of a size 2 weight yarn to make the shawl featured. That is approximately 860 yards of this thin size. I also used a size F/5-3.75mm with this thinner yarn which I mention in both the description section of the video and in the pattern. I hope this helps you out.

Disappointed that an estimated amount of yarn for some size of a shawl wasn’t even included in the paid pdf.
@@bilewis1958 I feel you sister! ❤️

Beautiful Shawl! How much yarn is in one skein of the EcoLuxe Gemstone?
Great question! One skein of the EcoLuxe Gemstone Yarn has 245 yards of yarn in it.
I just finished this. It's a gift for a friend who is going through a nasty divorce. Thank you Tiffany
