I have been so grateful to find your website and TH-cam channel; you have inspired confidence for me to try more advanced patterns than I might have in the past. I love your yarns and plan to make a purchase in the future. I wonder if you would ever consider sharing where you get your dresses from? They are always so beautiful as well! ! Thanks again so much for the positivity you share!
Thank you so much for the lovely compliment! I really appreciate it. For the dresses, there are a few places I find them. The one I'm wearing in the video is from a thrift place called thred up: www.thredup.com I also like to shop at Christy Dawn: christydawn.com/collections/dresses and I love Free People. ❤️ And some of them, I sew myself. 😊
I agree with your observation about these types of patterns, they are meditative and so satisfying for beginner crochet knitters like me. You are a wonderful teacher, thank you Chandi for your positivity, enthusiasm and generosity.
You can find all this information when at the pattern page here: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/satis.html The link is usually also given in the description box below the tutorial. The hook size used to make the sample was an US size I-9 (5.5 mm). 💜

I'm off on my count unless I work a single crochet inthat weird chain one space. Please help I've tried it and my shape is off. But my count is correct
I am so excited. I just ordered two hanks of beautiful yarn from your website. What a collection you have. The colors are so inspiring. I enjoy your videos too.
Thank you, beautiful soul! Do you have any tutorials showing how to style the shawls around your body? I notice in your intros, you always have the shawl wrapped so beautifully around you but I'm not exactly sure how you wrap it.
First of all - Thank you! ☕ I have to try this. I get so nervous in trying when I know in fact that I can do this. Beautiful scarf and I love the earth elements theme. Hi there, have you downloaded the full written instructions from our website? The full pattern should give you all the details necessary to finish the Satis Crochet Shawl. You can find it here: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/satis.html I hope this helps! Have a nice day! 💕
I hot to the final row on this video. I'm not able to read patterns. What do I do after this row? I would appreciate your guidance to finish it. Thank you!!
Hi Caroline, after working the Setup Rows and Row 1 & 2 that Chandi showed in the tutorial you will turn your work and repeat Row 1 & 2 for the rest of the shawl. Always alternating between Row 1 and then Row 2 again. I hope this makes sense and is helpful. Have a great day. 💕
I love this shawl and it is super easy until you get to the pointed edges, where the pattern is super complicated. Would love to see a tutorial on that part so I can complete the shawl cuz I love it so much.
I absolutely love your patterns. I appreciate the tutorials because I'm extremely dyslexic and have a difficult time reading patterns. I've started this pattern and stuck at the point right after the repeats of 1-12 x's 6 times where you join color B. 😢
I'm sorry that you're stuck. Please send us a message through the contact form at www.expressionfiberarts.com/contact-us/ and we'll happily help you with your issue. I'm sure we can figure it out. 🩷
Hi Chanti, just finished the Adalia shawl and it turned out beautifully. The instructions were easy to follow and the yarn was delicious to work with. Thank you. I know the recipient will love it too. Oh by the way, I love your outfit especially your hat.
So, following the pattern, I am gettingbthrough the " begin lace edging" section with one color only. The shawl is about 27 inches long and it is narrow. The widest part is 7 inches, when does it start getting wider? I have finished the first 5 times 1 through 12 in the " begin lace edging" is this right?
Hi Carolina, the shawl should increase slowly in width each row of " Begin lace edging" you work. Is it getting any wider or do you see it forming a triangle? I'm sorry you're having trouble with the Sati Shawl. 😢
I'm in the process of making this shawl and I have a question. I've always cut my yarn when I change colors but I'm carrying my yarn up the side with this pattern. I'm using three distinct colors so it isn't easy to hide the loops going up the side. I'm afraid it will look sloppy when I get it finished. Any suggestions? From anyone?
Hi Marlene, thank you for your comment. Do you think your loops might stretch out during blocking and be less visible? If not you might want to carry the yarn a bit more tightly around the edges (but not too tight so it starts puckering) . Other than that I don't have any other suggestions. Maybe some fellow crocheters have another trick that I don't know of? Have a nice day! 💕
Chandi. I have a question on the pattern , so I have done 12 rows now it says repeat rows 1-12 five times with color A then it says join with color B. What if I'm only doing one color? Thank you!
Hi Carolina, thank you for your comment. If you're only working with one color you will just continue with the instructions without changing colors. After working the 5 repeats of rows 1-12 don't break your yarn and instead work rows 1-12 twelve more times in just one color. I hope this makes sense and is helpful. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Have a wonderful day. ❤️
Bina, yes, all of the info is in the pattern pdf here: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/satis.html Each row has a varying amount of the lacy part so it creates the look of "spikes."

Very glad for crochet version. This video is not the same as the written pattern. After the set up, there is only visually lce on the edge. Is the lacy edging supposed to be after the main body ?. I am a fan of efa. But this video is confusing the pattern more than I was before
I'm not quite sure what you mean. I would love to clear up any confusion you may have. The lace is worked as you work the pattern. It is fully integrated. Does that help a little?
This is not an easy pattern. I finished the first 12 rows, then it says to repeat rows 1-12 five times which Im trying to do but it does not look right, there will be gaps and the previous point only gets bigger. What am I doing wrong.? Also Im only using one color. Ready to give up but dont want to, just need to understand. Thank you.
Hi Carolina, I'm happy to help. I hope you won't give up. I'm sure you can do it. I'm not completely sure that I understand what is going wrong. Can you be more specific with where in the pattern you are and have trouble with, like row number and what you mean by gaps. The Shawl is supposed to exhibit spikes at one edge that have small lace openings. I've already responded to your last question below regarding only working with one color.
