      Some are rebuildable and others are not

    Nice job Brook - as always!
    QUESTION: could you not install and torque the driveshaft to the transmission output FIRST - and then slide the swing arm up into position overtop of the driveshaft?
    NOTE: I have never worked on that part of an AirHead and the idea may be totally impractical…but I cannot see why at this point.

      Assessor 12, You can't install the driveshaft into the swing arm with the rear coupling for the rear drive on it as it won't slide through the swing arm. And It would be a bear to try and install the rear coupling on the driveshaft at that point.

      Ah hah - yup, I get it. BMW must have some special tooling to make this whole task much easier.
