Need to change the whole panel if PPF is damaged. Genrally a good quality TPU is able to handle some of minor accidental damages, but its sacrifical film so need to change also.
To apply ceramic on matt car the process remains same as gloss paint, no change, take some drops on applicator, sprad the coating, wait for few secs, wipe the excess to level and buff to shine or final touch. Just the coatings used on matt finish are either different or in some brands you can use the base coat on matt paint also. Kindly note that on matt finsih you can not do paint correction so no sanding, no compounding, just decon wash, clay, pre wipe and apply coatings. Happy Detailing.

1. You can ask for online warranty from the brand of PPF, not applicator. Every roll comes with unique id number and warranty is registered on company website to ensure you get the genuie product. 2. If in doubt you can pull off the ppf from side mirror and check its strech and gum transfer. After the application by just touching the surface its impossible to find out whether its TPU ot TPH. Always get your PPF from genuine and reputed brand, dont look at few k's to repent afterwards. Happy Detailing.
Hello sir. Very informative video. I talked to one of a reputed detailer in city for my car. He advised against PPF stating that it gets hard within a year due to hot climate in India. And due to this hardening it eventually breakes. They are using PPF of Norton. I wanted to know is this really true that a PPF gets hard within a year.
Good quality/brand PPF made of genuine TPU will never get hard due to climatic heat, lacs of cars have such PPF in Gulf countries with more extreme heat then India. Cheap PPF made of PVC also fake TPU/TPH can have adverse effect due to heat and should always avoid the fake cheap PPF. If your budget allows then only get branded TPU PPF with online warranty from the brand, these good quality PPF have long life of 6-10 years and even after 10-12 years it will not get hard and can be removed from car without any damage. If your budget does not allows goood quality PPF then go for good quality ceramic coating.

Contact your nearest detail shop, any good detail shop can install ppf on your creta.
