Full car painting will cost around a lakh in the body shop from the oem, but ppf costs 80k+, what is the point?

Basically it’s useless unless it’s a luxury car.
Ppf is also climate depended. With our temperetures rising example delhi reaching 50 plus degrees, the ppf will get hard and ruin paint of car. Also when they apply ppf and comb it on car it scratches the paint and leaves marring.
In case we remove ppf, does it affect the original paint??

Whats your opinion about 3XO? Is it a reliable car?
PPF is still recommended, ceramic does not last in bad conditions and roads like India, ceramic is made to last in Western countries where there is no dust and micro particles in the environment. Don't do it specially if your car is parked outside in the open. It hardly last 6-8 months no matter from where you get it. You have get the coat reapplied every 9-10 months if you want to retain the shine.
It depends on the quality on Ceramic.

In US and canada they use PPF with ceramic coating applied on top surface of PPF. Basically 2 in 1. So why we don't have that in India ?

For electric vehicles like the XUV400, is it safe to do underbody coating? (Is it actually needed?) Will it cause any issues with heat dissipation from batteries?
All in all... PPF is like The plastic tempered glass you apply on your phones, one drop and you need a new one. PPF is same -one scratch and you need to take your car back to them spend some more extra bucks...

@@nishantpratap99 they basically went from a review channel to an advertising channel. Over the top dramatic script, glorifying basically everything even if its a bad product, losing their credibility in the scene.
Dude - this is just Question n Answer on PPF. How is it promotional? We spoke on all types of coatings. With XUV700 - we all think of different ways to build content - just some aren’t appreciated by all - like a flop movie. If Mahindra pays - we have no reason to not put paid promotion.

Repaint is better in india atleast cz majority people either dont sell the car or sell to someone who isnt that professionally concerned about the paint being original.

Nice video! But these PPF, ceramic stuff are still experimental and no proven results on pros/cons. There are number of videos on both aspects. And I believe if these really benefit, brands would provide them as a variant differetiator if not anything else.
Unless the car parts or paint would cost a fortune it is actually useless, hence it can be used for luxury cars but can’t comment on its effectiveness.

Car ka jaab accident hota hai aur usme jaab denting aur painting ke liye showroom mai jaan parta hai uss samay showroom waale ko bahut problem hota hai ppf utarne ke liye..they used to get angry and finding difficult to remove..so wats the solution coz all detailing store dnt do denting and painting job..

Full on ad for ppf and ceramic. Micron me thickness bate rahe but ppf ka price nahi bataya and repaint me kitna approx percent valuation kam hoga woh bhi nahi bataya. Rachit bhai content quality has taken a serious hit these days.
Have heard that when you remove ppf coatings, it damage car colour at extreme level, is it true?? And then after that you reapply PPF it cost you more than what you paid at first time
1. always use TPU PPF films, all the complaints you hear like "It turns Yellow", "It damages paint", etc are mostly all related to PVC PPFs.
2. PPF is good for expensive cars like Audi, BMW, etc whose paint job costs over a lakh or so. Cause Good PPF costs around 50-60k, at that price a normal car like XUV300/400 can be completed painted new. So it is just useless to spend 60k on PPF, when you can apply new paint at same or lower price.
but in expensive cars the paint job costs a lakh or even 1.5L, on such expensive cars PPF option is good.
Else on normal cars, just go with CERAMIC COATING.

It is better to go for repainting rather than PPF as PPF will not Protect dent. Valueation hai bekar ki baat. Insurance wale waise v saal ka 10-15% per year gira dete hai.
Bus PPF ka faida hai ki gari me shine aa jati hai.

1. EV itself is expensive and it's resale value is literally zero.
2. One who can spend 45k to 55k on PPF film can even spend the same amount to repaint the car after 6 years.

I have Harrier XZA plus, they have quoted me 1.60 Lakh for (PPF+Ceramic) and 1.40 Lakh for ppf only, which is too expensive.

Service will be available for 1 year, after that the parts will not work. And work here only if you have a car worth above Rs 50 lakh, otherwise you will regret spending so much money.
My reviews for them a few years ago were good but not now.
If you do not get any reply even after mailing the company, then if you are doing ceramic Pro coating then think carefully before doing it. You will first put Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 in coating and will get 1 year service, which the company gives service warranty of 5 years.
What if we do the PPF on a new car and if the owner of the car has open parking or needs to park the vehicle on road, exposing the vehicle to sunlight, rain, dust etc....will it make sense to do ppf or will the PPF peel out after a month or so, as it is being exposed to sunlight for say 5-6 hours daily?
Won’t have an issue with that - paint will fade however it will be slower as it will have to pass through layers. Moreover - the smaller scratches add more to the paint fading as those surfaces are weaker. PPF will reduce that.

No, repaint it instead. While repaint, record a complete video before during and after the process. This will ensure your car value is not depreciated during resale.
