I totally enjoyed watching, this hose to show, you can spend, a bit of change! Testing and practicing are the key elements, and learning to adjust for the unforeseen factors , heat Mirage, and Cross wind!
This is a very budget friendly build I threw together, everything is factory but the stock and mag adapter. I totally agree practice is everything!
I bought the Rem 700 SPS Varmint .308 in early 2023 - factory setup - no changes.
Finally took it out to shoot the 1st time a few days ago (2024) - 168 gr HPBTs commercial grade ammo - not Hornady, Federal, etc.
Shooting less than .3 inch three shot groups at 100 yrds.
Will step it out to 300 yrds next.
What was the wind? That's impressive

Some time read the accounts of people shooting matches like Creedmoor with open sight 30-06 Springfield rifles at a thousand yards and note the scores. Mostly shot prone without bench or bipod.
