I would like to issue a challenge to all Muslims here. For the past 15 years, I have posed this challenge, and it has yet to be met. If any of you can successfully answer it, I pledge to repent and return to Islam, even if the consequence of my apostasy would be death. (According to the majority of Islamic sects, apostasy carries severe penalties, including death, with no possibility of forgiveness even upon repentance.) Despite this, I am willing to embrace my faith and accept the consequences. The challenge is simple: Can you identify a single teaching in Islam that is both good and genuinely new? Show me one Islamic teaching that is not already known by other religions and cultures, and I will reconsider my stance. Furthermore, when I refer to a 'good' and 'new' teaching, I mean one that is beneficial for human beings and could not have been discovered independently by humans. It must be a teaching that was not already known by other religions or cultures
Answer: The Concept of Ummah (Community) Definition and Significance One of the core teachings in Islam is the concept of Ummah, which refers to the global community of Muslims bound together by their faith. This idea emphasizes a collective identity and responsibility among Muslims, transcending ethnic, cultural, and national boundaries. Unprecedented Aspects Universal Brotherhood: While many religions promote community, the Islamic teaching of Ummah emphasizes a universal brotherhood that is inclusive of all Muslims, regardless of their background. This was particularly significant in the 7th century, as it sought to unify diverse tribes and communities under a single religious identity. It may not be entirely unique, but its particular framing and emphasis within the context of Islamic teachings offered a fresh perspective on community and social responsibility which continues to this day.
@@ytubeanon Thank you for bringing up the concept of Ummah. 1-Historical Context of Community Concepts: The idea of a collective community or unity among people based on shared beliefs or identity is not unique to Islam. Various pre-Islamic societies and other religious traditions also emphasized community and collective identity. For example: A- Ancient Greek and Roman Societies: These cultures had a sense of community and shared identity among citizens and subjects, albeit in a different context. B- Jewish Tradition: The concept of a unified community bound by religious law and identity existed among Jewish people long before Islam. 2- Specificity of Ummah: While Islam's Ummah emphasizes a global brotherhood among Muslims, uniting diverse tribes and cultures under a common faith, it builds on pre-existing notions of community and social responsibility. The unique aspect of Ummah within Islam lies in its specific religious framework and universal applicability to Muslims worldwide. However, the underlying concept of a unified community based on shared beliefs or identity existed in various forms across different cultures and religions. 3- Impact and Implementation: The particular emphasis and implementation of Ummah in Islam aimed to unify diverse tribes and communities, which was a notable development in the 7th century. However, the broader concept of a collective identity, whether religious or cultural, was already present. The newness of Ummah lies more in its specific application within the Islamic framework rather than the fundamental idea of community itself. In summary, while Ummah represents an aspect of Islamic teaching, the broader concept of community based on shared identity or beliefs was not unprecedented. The challenge remains to identify a teaching in Islam that is both genuinely new and beneficial in a way that could not have been independently discovered or developed.
@@Seeker-zl7nf already stated: "It may not be entirely unique, but its particular framing and emphasis within the context of Islamic teachings offered a fresh perspective on community and social responsibility which continues to this day." what teaching in other Western religions have been both "genuinely new and beneficial in a way that could not have been independently discovered or developed?"
@@ytubeanon One more thing to consider: The challenge I have posed is not entirely new. A similar challenge was made by a contemporary of Muhammad named Nazi ibn Harith. He questioned Muhammad by asserting that the claims in the Quran were borrowed (plagiarized) from other religions and cultures. Nazi ibn Harith then presented three questions to Muhammad, stating that if Muhammad could answer them correctly, he and the people of Mecca would accept him as a prophet. Do you know what those questions were? Muhammad, instead of providing clear answers, avoided them for 15 days until he was eventually located. When he did address the questions, he concocted 3 verses that not even a 7 years old illiterate kid would accept them as a logical and correct answers. Do you which verses they were? Please read to those questions and the answer muhammad gave them ( in fact he avoided answering them), and then be honest and tell me, can such a person be divine and get revelation from an all knowing God/ People of Mecca did not ask him to split the moon to prove his prophecy. The just asked 3 simple and easy questions that many people, even children, knew the answer. Why didn't Allah help him to give a correct and clear answer and by doing so make all people of Mecca ( and other cities) Muslim and save the life of over millions of innocent people?
@@ytubeanon Do you think that there is any chance that you would answer my second comment ( about the question that were asked from muhammad and he could not answer)? I would really gratefull if you could provide me with a logical answer. If you want I can give you those questions and the verses that muhammad presented as answers.

If there were no supernatural laws , then a father wouldn't be ashamed marrying his own daughter or a brother marrying his own sister . And we never claimed that only our point of view is correct . This is why the Quran tells us " Say come to the common terms between you and us " Also , it tells us " Debate with them (non-Muslims ) in the best ways possible ." It never tells us that only our point of view is correct , and you are false . And yeah , we do believe you need to be educated because committing incest with your daughter , brother etc . is not okay . Having premarital intercourse is not damn okay . Using toilet paper rather than the water is not okay . It is unhygienic . When you can use 4-5 liters of water for the commode , why not for yourself ? Eating bats , insects , drinking alcohol etc . is not okay . Therefore , you need to be educated .

Answer: The Concept of Ummah (Community)
Definition and Significance
One of the core teachings in Islam is the concept of Ummah, which refers to the global community of Muslims bound together by their faith. This idea emphasizes a collective identity and responsibility among Muslims, transcending ethnic, cultural, and national boundaries.
Unprecedented Aspects
Universal Brotherhood: While many religions promote community, the Islamic teaching of Ummah emphasizes a universal brotherhood that is inclusive of all Muslims, regardless of their background.
1-Historical Context of Community Concepts:
The idea of a collective community or unity among people based on shared beliefs or identity is not unique to Islam. Various pre-Islamic societies and other religious traditions also emphasized community and collective identity. For example:
A- Ancient Greek and Roman Societies: These cultures had a sense of community and shared identity among citizens and subjects, albeit in a different context.
B- Jewish Tradition: The concept of a unified community bound by religious law and identity existed among Jewish people long before Islam.
2- Specificity of Ummah:
While Islam's Ummah emphasizes a global brotherhood among Muslims, uniting diverse tribes and cultures under a common faith, it builds on pre-existing notions of community and social responsibility. The unique aspect of Ummah within Islam lies in its specific religious framework and universal applicability to Muslims worldwide. However, the underlying concept of a unified community based on shared beliefs or identity existed in various forms across different cultures and religions.
3- Impact and Implementation:
The particular emphasis and implementation of Ummah in Islam aimed to unify diverse tribes and communities, which was a notable development in the 7th century.
@@Seeker-zl7nf already stated:
"It may not be entirely unique, but its particular framing and emphasis within the context of Islamic teachings offered a fresh perspective on community and social responsibility which continues to this day."
what teaching in other Western religions have been both "genuinely new and beneficial in a way that could not have been independently discovered or developed?"
Please read to those questions and the answer muhammad gave them ( in fact he avoided answering them), and then be honest and tell me, can such a person be divine and get revelation from an all knowing God/
People of Mecca did not ask him to split the moon to prove his prophecy.
Such an ironic click bait title. Well played cosmic, well played
