You did a fabulous job on him! It's hard enough trying a horse that nice, let alone on the internet! ALL props to you, girl. And he's SCOPEY. That back end is fabulous. You will be able to do everything you want to do on him. I'm sure you're already doing this, but get some lessons with Cam ASAP, because after years of Banksy's chipping in, you are probably surprised by a nice long stride to a fence, which Enzo definitely has! Cam will be perfect for getting you to let him travel to the fences. I think you have a real winner here--talent, a kind eye, and a lovely personality all in one pretty package!

I think you never give yourself enough credit. You are a very good rider. He’s very much like Banks because he is so personable. They are both forward and both lovely. I love a forward horse as well. I think having Banksy first will make many many other horses “easy.” You have done a great job with Banks and that is reflected in how you interact with Enzo. So excited for this journey.

All I saw was what a bloody good rider you are 😂 I can count how many times I would have parted ways from Enzo in that first ride, but so true…. First ride is getting to know each other and finding the buttons and learning. All I can say is….imagine the pair of you in a couple of years when he grows up and gets over the 6 yr old phase ❤ I’m so excited!!!!!

What a lovely horse! His personality, his character, his gaits, and the way you're riding him is also great. He's the shade of bay that's my favorite; I love the black points. But feeling safe on him in the open field over solid fences...that's the golden ticket. Especially for riders who feel nervous at times, and tighten up...your feeling safe makes both of you safer.
You two will make a great pair- he is stunning!!! And you actually looked good in the longer stirrup like you could get your leg wrapped around him more!
Yea admittedly it looked ok didn’t it, but on a new bigger striding horse I felt out of balance and coped better shorter xx

Just moved to Florida and watching you add more layers to the three you began with, in the sun no less, gave me heat stroke! Am actually having to watch my 78 year old self that I don;t overdo the horse play! Have a blast with Enzo. He is awesome!

He is lovely. I bought an Irish Sport Horse almost a year ago. He is half Thoroughbred (14.3 hh mare) X Irish Draught (17.2 hh stallion). He is the perfect size at 16.2. Has made me a huge fan of IDSHs. I think you made a great choice with Enzo.
Are you sure you got the height of the mare correct,,,, I mean a 17.2 ID stallion mounting a 14 .3 mare,,,,, how did she manage to push the foal out.?

So chuffed for you!! Just remember, you now have the responsibility of keeping up with Enzo's training. In all aspects!! You can't just not do anything, like you have sometimes with Banksey. So, if you remember that he's still a youngster and that he needs that consistent training, you'll do great things with Enzo. He obviously has tons of scope, a great pop over the jumps, and he also loves speed. All things that you'll need going Cross Country. But he's still a baby! A teenager actually. And they definitely need the consistency of training on both sides equally. He will have days where he will say, Nope, not doing that today!! And you have to be the leader and ride him through those days. Holding his hand, light contact on the mouth, both legs on, hugging his body, and saying, Yes you will do that today!! A lot goes into these 5 and 6 and 7 year olds. But I'm still so chuffed, Tina, that you got him. You'll learn a lot from him as you're teaching him his job. Yep I’m quite aware of that and we have already had some of those moments especially mounting. But that the same as I had in the early days with a young Banksy and thankfully I have a lot more knowledge, confidence and assistance from epic trainers and friends this time round so I’m super excited for the journey with him. Banks was an absolute terror and he’s turned out ok 😉

Congratulations! You are both so lucky. “Zangersheide” is not an actual breed but a stud in Belgium, I believe, that breeds for excellence in sport horses -specifically Grand Prix jumpers. And smart with mostly a lovely character. I’m riding one now (a 14 year old) and he’s a great mate!

I have ridden what we call an ISH over here but he was half Irish draught, half some kind of warmblood. I'm a small girl and a mare girl. I loved that gelding.

Oh he's super! I think your first ride on him was wonderful and you did a great job adjusting your riding to suit him, even through the normal first ride apprehensions.
What was the first saddle you rode in? I only ask because I thought both his jumping frame and your jumping position (especially your upper body) were a lot more free and dynamic with the first saddle. I thought you looked more "together" than in your second ride, like poetry in the making. Of course, there are a lot of factors that go into it that could have made the two rides so different as well. Considering a different saddle brand can be difficult and feel off at first, but it's just food for thought to consider a wool flocked, or different brand to suit him and you a bit more. How did the feel compare? Do you notice that difference between the footage of the 2 stadium jumping sessions as well?
What I appreciate most about your channel, Tina, is that it is beyond obvious that you love your horses and do the best by them. Anyone who says otherwise isn't paying attention. I'm so happy for you and your special new boy. You're going to have great fun.

He is very fancy!! That zangersheide part of his pedigree is impressive, those tend to be very scopey and careful. You look amazing on him and the best thing is that Banksy actually likes him...who cannot like him? He is adorable. Congrats!!!
