You don't know how helpful this video was as I just purchased a 23 Tahoe. Thank you and the job well done! I would say that you are better than 99% of reviewers out there as you just stick to the meat and potatoes with not a whole bunch of fluff. We all know somebody we listen to that likes to hear themselves talk. You were terrific.
I appreciate that! Honestly what I was trying to go for! Get right to the useful information that a lot of sales people do not talk about nor show when someone gets a new vehicle! Glad this was very useful for you!
Appreciate you! Sorry for delayed response, but I do believe you will have to keep a Connected Vehicle Plan through OnStar to access a few features such as the Speed Limit to display for which road you're on and for whatever reason reading outloud your text messages? Just found that last one out 2 days ago.
I have a 2022 LT Tahoe. For some reason my headlights was on auto dimming at night. While drving at night now, it's not working when cars coming at me. Have tried the auto button on every set and can't get it to dim on and off automatic. What am I not doing wrong?
Hmm I would suggest making sure your normal headlight knob is in the Auto position, then at night try pushing the button on the end of the left stick on steering wheel and making sure that "A" within the headlight symbol pops up green on your screen. Green A headlight symbol means the automatic highbeams are on and should turn the highbeams on when no car or bright lights are detected. If the symbol pops up green, but it is not turning on and off your high beams, I would suggest having the local dealership take a look to see what might be going on. Hope this helps!
Nice video. Wish you had mentioned valet mode. My new Tahoe is being built next week and wondering if glove box and sliding console can be locked out with a valet combination code
This one did not have the sliding center console and honestly I am pretty sure they actually removed the valet mode in these but I will have to check if we have one and verify!
Honestly I'm not 100% certain on that. But if you do have the power lift gate, go check under the right side of the rear bumper & you'll see an illuminated Chevy Bowtie emblem if it is equipped with the Hands-Free function. You may also have to change in settings to allow it to close doing that as well. Hope this helps!
I just purchased a 2022 Tahoe Lt, and it has what looks like is a HUD. The space flashes red when collision warning activates. Does it not do HUD too? Is that feature only on the premier and High Country Trims?
The indent on your dash is for the Forward Collision Alert system. The button next to your cruise control will change the sensitivity of the alerts. And yes, you are correct with regards to the other trims.
Can I fold my back seat vis button or do I have to physically get out and do it ? I know there a button feature for the 3rd row but just wondering if there one for the 2nd
Sorry for the delayed response! You do have to fold the 2nd row from being directly there. Either by the levers on sides of the seats or by a button on the C-pillar, which makes it easier to get out from the 3rd row. That would be a nice addition in the future to fold the 2nd row seats from up front as well!
Are these features on all models or just the higher trim? I have the RST not sure mine does all that so I will definitely be checking tomorrow morning! Thank you for sharing
All these features are on every trim LT and above except for Reverse Tilt Mirror & Auto Mirror Folding which you could still get along with the Luxury Package on LT, Z71 & RST trims. All standard on Premier & High Country.
Hey Kyle! Just wondering if there are any tips on jump starting a 2023 Chevrolet High Country? Sounds weird but left the trunk open and the battery is dead. Tried to jump start and the screen shows that the hood is open and the push button ignition wont engage? Does the fob have to be in a certain spot?
Apologies for the late reply! So if the key fob battery is dead or not registering with the vehicle, place the fob in the driver cup holder and try the push start button again. It should register the fob is there and start the vehicle as long as the vehicle's battery is good!
Hello Kyle, and thanks for the great video, I've received my 2023 two weeks ago, and since then I have recurrent 360 cameras issues (cameras are not starting at R), I took it back to the dealer who did an update for the system but unfortunately this is not working. I was wondering if, as per your experince, you beleive this is a common problem ? is there a solution or a feature to check for the updates by myself ? Thank you so much.
Glad it was useful for you! As far as the camera error, I honestly have not heard or seen this issue come up at my dealership yet. That does sound frustrating however. You can go into the settings and scroll down under System and you should see an option for updates to check on! I would honestly just take it back and say its still having the same issue!
So I love the hairstyle I used to have long hair like yours but it was just too much to deal with everyday so I donated it to a cancer foundation however I currently own a 2022 chevy Suburban 4WD Premier and my question is will that buckle to drive setting work if only one person is in the car or would you have to buckle up the passenger seat belt every time you get inside in order to drive the car? Also are all of these setting's standard on all trims of the Tahoe and Suburban because I am currently looking for a second car and was thinking of getting a 2022 Tahoe 4WD Premier.
Sorry this got lost in the matrix! Appreciate you and you sir are a kind person for doing that with your hair! I'm sure you figured this out by now, but it is only for the driver that needs to be buckled for you to be able to put the vehicle in gear. This was on a Z71 model specifically, so you will have all of these for sure on a Premier model!
Just purchased a 23 Tahoe after trading in a 19 model and wife and I were frustrated that the 23 didn’t have some of the features the 19 was set on. Thanks for showing the reverse mirror tilt and other settings
Very interesting. I just ordered the 23 Tahoe and am trying to learn all about it for whenever it comes in ... 3-6 months from now. I plan to tow a 5k lb camper with it and ordered the Max Towing option. I like the points you covered, and would love to hear about towing features. Thanks.
Hey that's awesome, congrats! That's definitely a great video topic to cover! In the mean time, let me know if you have any specific questions that I might be able to assist with!
There is not a setting to automatically turn on the cameras, however if you are going under 5pmh and hit the camera button either on the screen or the physical one to the left of the steering wheel, the 360 camera will pop up with showing the front view first to aid with parking spots & garages! Hope this helps you 😁
I'm betting that if you look at your window sticker, it will show a credit for the parking sensors due to parts shortage. It will be treated like a recall basically and they will do a retrofit for free later on this year once the chips are available. They also had this for some vehicle's heated seats and steering wheels for reference.
It's the beautiful pelos (hair) for me. Thanks for the video! Interesting! I have a Suburban on order, so this is super helpful. Thank you. Do you happen to know the process for when a truck order has been accepted to build to delivery? My Suburban has been issued a VIN and is pending dispatch, but the sales lady at dealership wasn't sure if that meant the vehicle is completely done and is just waiting for transport, or if VIN assignment is midway through production. Any info is helpful. Thank you.
Thank you kindly! And congratulations on the Suburban, I'm sure you'll love it! Once the vehicle is assigned a VIN, it will be bayed and wait for transportation. Typically I tell people around 2 weeks from being built until it will arrive at the dealership. Lately they have had some transport shortages, so some delays is not abnormal.
Thank you for replying. Our Suburban was delivered earlier than expected! So surprise to us! We love our truck and always getting compliments. This video definitely helped us to settle in. Especially the rear access storage. When at dealership, she was showing us the bells and whistles..we couldn’t close the rear door via the leg swoop and I remembered you said we have to set it to Open AND Close, and now the dealership knows to help their next customer! Thank you! Such a great vehicle! I miss muting my music from the steering wheel, and adjusting the accelerator pedal like we had in our 2003 Suburban- but we’ll be okay. See y on the road!
@@palomaquerida604 That's so awesome it came early for you! Really glad it helped you and even another dealership out!! Also, you still can mute the audio on the steering wheel. Just hit the buttom end phone call button and it will mute the audio!! Happy to be of assistance for you and congrats again on the Suburban!!
@@CarsWithKyle omg shut the front door! I’m really happy now! Lol it’s such a good feature! Do we need a service plan for the google assist features? It won’t let me sign in.
@@palomaquerida604 hahaha it's the little things in life, I swear 😌 and yes, after the initial 1-3mo trial (depending if you put on cars on file) the built-in Google features require at least a connected vehicle access plan through OnStar. Starts at $14.99/mo and you can ask about discounts too!
So I just got my 2023 Z71 Suburban and this helped. However I notice that even with the no shift into gear without seatbelt on, it will still let you shift into reverse and then into Drive after 30 seconds. 5:29
Congrats and glad this helped you out!! You are correct. After about 20-30 seconds, it will still let you shift out of park. It is just a preventative safety feature that you can turn on or off.
Wondering if you can help me. The camera use to show something what looks like a lane when I reverse but now it’s just a line 😑 I don’t know how it changed but the lane looking one was more helpful
Absolutely, I got you! So when the camera is on, on the bottom left of the screen, I believe it's the icon second from the far left, there is an icon that shows the "lane" and also a trailer. Click that to cycle which guidelines are shown! The straight line you see now is for trailering to line up to the center of the hitch. This should fix your issue 😁
Can you link your key fob to your infotainment profile? Basically if i set up 2 user profiles on the infotainment system, I would like the car to automatically default at startup to the profile tied to the key fob so me and my wife do not have to switch back and forth everytime we drive the car
Just answered your comment on the other video, but i'll paste it here too for others to see: Yes you can! Go to Settings then I believe it's under accounts or profiles. You can select the key assigned to each profile and will automatically adjust seats & settings you've set for each profile!
As long as you have them, the integrated turn signals on the mirrors come on automatically when signaling. They're included with the Luxury Package on LT, Z71 & RST and come standard on Premier & High Country.
Kind of sad that I’m learning about some of these features after having my 22 Tahoe for a year! It was so helpful. Any hints for an apple phone user to make the entertainment system easier? I love parts of google but I love my Apple CarPlay more and I’m sure there’s more I can be doing with it.
So you can not change that, however, if you are going 5mph or slower and hit the camera button on screen or the physical 360 Camera button on left side of the dash, the front camera pulls up so you can see parking spots and pulling into garages easier!
Thank you. I just got the new 2022 suburban after having the 2015 suburban and if so uncomfortable in this new suburban. Some features that I do not like in the new one, the driver seat feels smaller and getting in and out feels a little uncomfortable because the running board seems bigger so it seems like a little bit of a hop to get out. I don’t like how the charging station is the compartment on the dash. And on the new one, the steering wheel seems kind of weird like the turn signal is far off. I know it’s weird things but it’s things you get used to but the two major things that I hate with the new one that I love with the old one was the uncomfortable seat, seeming smaller, and , the gas and brake pedal not being able to move
I have a 23 tahoe. I traded in my 20 and have one issue. I was able to use voice commands to play artist from my flash drive. With the new Google software it ask me to pay b through you tube music or Spotify. How can I direct it to play from flash drive?
Stumbled upon your channel while looking for a way to enable Alexa in our 2022 Z71. It appears Alexa is blocked entirely from the Google Play store. Very disappointing as we use that service for everything.
Make sure you have an active wifi plan! I know in order to use the apps, it will require a data plan provided through OnStar after the initial trial period. Hope this helps!
@@CarsWithKyle Thanks for the response! We still have the trial Wifi plan and it's been great! Still no luck finding the elusive Alexa app. I fear when Chevrolet moved to the Google platform this year, they nixed Alexa altogether. BTW, your 10 tips were great, I'll be sure to send any friends in The Springs your way.
That is the Bose AudioPilot feature that automatically adjusts volume depending on vehicle speed. To turn it off, go into the settings and I believe Audio is under the top left settings menu, you should find the option to disable this feature! Hope this helps 🙏
Uggg, the auto mirror fold and key fob fold are so unreliable. I hold the lock button in public no fold, but when I'm in my garage and do it, it works. You mentioned just walk away and it folds ..not mine. Help man 😔
Hmm 🤔 so this is the first I have heard about them giving any issues working on and off. First, I would say make sure you are using the same key, as some vehicle settings may change if the keys are assigned to different profiles. Second, verify that the settings for Remote Mirror Folding are turned on in the settings AS WELL as the Passive Door Lock. If both of these are turned on, when you walk away WITH the keyfob, the vehicle will auto lock and fold mirros after approx 5sec after closing the doors.
Sorry for the late reply! I would first suggest trying to turn up the volume on the side of the phone itself to make sure it is transmitting all of the volume over to the Tahoe! Hope this works for you!
Some features will be the same within the vehicle settings, while others have changed for the 2022 model year with the new Google powered infotainment system.
For Equinox, the spare tire and jack should be under the rear cargo floor. For Tahoe & Suburban, as that's what this video's on, the jack is in a compartment on the left in rear cargo area. Spare tire is under the vehicle and taken down with tool in leather bag in rear cargo storage area.
My least favorite part is when you have to put the seatbelt on to shift it into gear and this is kind of a problem because if the seatbelt fails, we pretty much have to tow the vehicle and we have a 2022 Suburban LT Signature Edition and I understand that we have to have our seatbelt on for safety but if the seatbelt fails, we can’t really shift the transmission
I agree with that being the most annoying part personally. You can either turn off the Buckle to Drive feature entirely in the settings or after 20-30 seconds, it will still allow you to shift even with no seatbelt on. It is just a preventative safety feature for the initial start-up of vehicles that can be turned on or off.
Hahaha honestly, I hardly ever use conditioner 🤷♂️ My secret: Just use OGX Tea Tree Mint shampoo, blow dry it, then use Pacino's Matte or Creme & call it a day. It definitley has a mind of its own though! 🤣
YES! Above your head on the roof you will see a toggle switch with a little radar like looking symbol. Toggling this will turn the Motion Sensor System off and you will see the alert in your Driver Information Center. Hope this helps, I imagine that has gotten annoying 😅
@@Robinellsen Yes. It may look like a SUV with a line drawn through it, but if you have the button to disable it, it is on the roof near the rearview mirror area. Sounds like you were toggling the door lights switch.
Good & informative video, with all these new features, the ONLY feature they should offer is improved quality, Chevy's quality has "nosedived" in recent years.
Thank you! And I agree with the interiors for sure. The new 2022 Silverados have the refreshed & upgraded interior, so I'm guessing Tahoe & Suburban will get it in 2023!
Any idea on how to fix some of the design MISTAKES in these vehicles? 1) Disabling of the engine Stop / Start stop technology. I'm aware that aftermarket devices are available, I have one, it works great. 2) Permanent disabling of Daytime Running Lights. DRLs do nothing to improve safety, they make the vehicle look better when off, during the day, I do the two-handed start, one hand on the start button, the other hand on the Auto lights disabled switch. I now get slightly better gas mileage. (GM disables DRLs for EPA testing). 3) Permanently disable the 20 minute shutdown when the vehicle is idling. There is a procedure for this, but it must be done on every engine start. 4) Permanently disable accessory shut down after 20 minutes. Yes, people still go to drive-in. Movies and use their car radios to listen. It's very inconvenient to have to reboot the system every 20 minutes. The battery in the vehicle will run the accessories for at least two days. There is no known method for over-riding this.
Sounds odd for sure! It should work fine as long as you are using the phone's default text messaging app. Have you tried reading out the texts while using Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay?
He didn't mention it BUT if you walk behind the truck, a light shines on the ground ( you can see his if you look) that shows where to put your foot. Kick forward rather than swipe sideways.

Yes you can! Go to Settings then I believe it's under accounts or profiles. You can select the key assigned to each profile and will automatically adjust seats & settings you've set for each profile!
Does it have auto brake hold? I been looking for a while and can't find it
Is it possible that not all carry the close side mirrors option?
I have a 2022 Tahoe z71
Mine is not listed on the screen
Yes ma'am that is correct.
Not all Tahoes will have all of these features, but the majority at least still apply!
Does the lift gate have a safety feature, in case something/someone is in the way during closing?
Can you tell me how to defrost the outside mirrors? I can't find the button.
When you put the rear defrost on, it will activate any heated mirrors you may have!
Thank you. Appreciate this.
I have the LT and some of the features don’t show on my settings, is this for certain models?
You are correct. I just wanted a video showing all the features available 😀
Thank you so much for this!!!
Helpful stuff. Thanks.
Happy to be of assistance!
How do you turn on side mirror light when signalling?
As long as you have them, the integrated turn signals on the mirrors come on automatically when signaling.
They're included with the Luxury Package on LT, Z71 & RST and come standard on Premier & High Country.
My 2023 Suburban RST has the head up display near the windshield but I can’t figure out how to use it. Any help please?
Kind of sad that I’m learning about some of these features after having my 22 Tahoe for a year! It was so helpful. Any hints for an apple phone user to make the entertainment system easier? I love parts of google but I love my Apple CarPlay more and I’m sure there’s more I can be doing with it.
How do you change the front parking sensors where they will beep and turn on the front camera further than 12”.
Is there a way to turn off the dinging when I open the drivers door!
Thank you sooo much.
You are certainly welcome!
THANK YOU!
YOU'RE WELCOME! 😁
This is awesome Kyle, it’s an honor to know you bro!!
Please do a video on setting the dash display
Here is a much longer in depth video I did on the on the screens:

Which trim did you show?
great video thanks
Good stuff!
Very helpful
Great video.
I have a 2023 chevy tahoe but every time we get to a stop sign volume goes down ..How do I turn that off!?
That is the Bose AudioPilot feature that automatically adjusts volume depending on vehicle speed. To turn it off, go into the settings and I believe Audio is under the top left settings menu, you should find the option to disable this feature! Hope this helps 🙏
Great video !
Thanks 🎉
Does the screen lift?
No sir, but you can get a sliding center console!
Thanks, I guess my 2022 suburban lt don't have mirror tilting
Yes, not all features are on all vehicles, but I wanted to show them all that were available to help as many people as I can :)
Do you know how I can turn off the automatic turn on/off when I reach to a stop. I get annoyed from that.
I have a 2022 Tahoe. But I don’t know how to bring volume up or down from iPhone.?
Sorry for the late reply! I would first suggest trying to turn up the volume on the side of the phone itself to make sure it is transmitting all of the volume over to the Tahoe! Hope this works for you!
Does it work for 2021 z71 tahoe
Some features will be the same within the vehicle settings, while others have changed for the 2022 model year with the new Google powered infotainment system.
is there an open rear key on the steering wheel?
Oh wow! I may purchase a high country
Nearing 100K views?! Proud of you bro!
Keep at it! 🙌
Much appreciated my dude 🙏
Keep these videos coming! So many features on these vehicles. I just picked mine up and I'm sure I'm missing all kinds of features
What about a setting for the Auto heating steering wheel how can I turn that off I hate it
This is good guide video, but I beleive, this is not Hidden features, but standard vehicle customization... However, it is great to look through
Where is the spare tire and jack? Did my 2022 equinox not come with a spare?!
It is just a preventative safety feature for the initial start-up of vehicles that can be turned on or off.
that is some serious volume. You must have one hell of a conditioner. 😳
Hahaha honestly, I hardly ever use conditioner 🤷♂️
My secret: Just use OGX Tea Tree Mint shampoo, blow dry it, then use Pacino's Matte or Creme & call it a day.
It definitley has a mind of its own though! 🤣
Does anybody know how i can turn off the interior motion sensor/alarm?? My dogs are turning the alarm system on all the time..
YES! Above your head on the roof you will see a toggle switch with a little radar like looking symbol.
Toggling this will turn the Motion Sensor System off and you will see the alert in your Driver Information Center.
Hope this helps, I imagine that has gotten annoying 😅
@@CarsWithKyle Are you sure? I pressed it, but only the reading lamps switched from on to off....
Once you remote start it how do you kill it with the remote
Hold circle remote start button to turn it off with the remote.
There is no known method for over-riding this.
how do you turn on the fog lights
They actually do not have fog lights on 2022 Tahoe/Suburbans. The LED headlights provide great visibility themselves!
When I get a cell phone text, when I hit play it says "I don't have an app to get the messages. How do I get it to play my messages?
Sounds odd for sure! It should work fine as long as you are using the phone's default text messaging app.
Have you tried reading out the texts while using Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay?
He didn't mention it BUT if you walk behind the truck, a light shines on the ground ( you can see his if you look) that shows where to put your foot. Kick forward rather than swipe sideways.
This why the battery drain occurs. Thanks GM.
What episode of hairy and the Hendersons is this?
Hahahahaha I had to Google that reference and now I am 100% gonna watch it 🤣🤣🦁
Good video....good hair!?!??
you still doing the beef jerky commercials?
Haha I honestly wish I got this reference 😅
Please tell me there are beef jerky commercials out there with my doppelganger!
Why do my seats keep flopping down when I put my 22 Tahoe in Park?
Nice wig man!
Hahahaha appreciate it!
Been growing it out 3 years strong so far!
