  • Tanis Milicevic's had been battling non-Hodgkin lymphoma for more than a decade. She needed an new approach to care.
    Enter Mohamed A. Kharfan Dabaja, M.D., the director of the Blood and Marrow Transplantation Program and the Human Cellular Therapy Laboratory at Mayo Clinic’s Florida campus.
    In June 2018, Tanis became the first patient at Mayo Clinic’s Florida campus to receive chimeric antigen receptor-T cell therapy - also known as CAR-T cell therapy.
    Today, she is celebrating the little moments in life thanks to a successful transplant.
