Hi I'm new to PC mmd I used to do mmd but on the phone I was wondering because Microsoft removed PMXE and MMD does that mena directX is the only application we can use to make mmd ? And is it the same as PMXE but just has a different name ?
When I downloaded it, I did have some troubles at first and some screen even popped up that said "could not download" or something and it just popped up anyway. It was wierd but it helped! Thank you

Make sure you set your screen resolution to the max your display allows. Also if the problem persists reinstall the required components for PMXE to run (you can find them at the bottom of the download page)
It took me forever to find a full version that didn't have a donation button stamped on it, though the change in art is nice too. Thank you so much for the video link or I would have never found this version, it does stutter a little more then the other one I have but the gosh is it completely translated. However I still use PMDE way more then PMXE, somethings are just more easier to understand.
A lot of people say PMXE it's more advanced and more used than PMDE (that's way PMD got discontinued) also I remember that on the LearnMMD website on the download page it said that PMX it's a continuation for PMD. Now if you find PMD more useful than PMX, good for you, keep on using it.
Just wait for the program to open. When I had my old hard drive it took one/two minutes for it just to open and another minute to get into peak performance

I can't get this to work for the life of me. I followed the instructions and even tried installing c++ 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2015. They all worked except for c++ 2010 and 2015. With c++ 2015 it says that another version of that is already installed and I can't use it. As for c++ 2010, it just won't work. Every time I open pmx I get tons of error messages and I can't use it. Can someone please help me?
1. Reinstall all the redistributionall, repair them if the option is available 2. Also reinstall DirectX 9.0c 3. The older version (2010) of C++ is all that PMXE needs and there is no need to install all the newer versions. Please update me on the outcome
@@180Studios I uninstalled some of the c++ stuff. But, not all of them since I don't know what I need and don't need on my laptop. Both redistributionall and DirextX 9.0c won't work. DirectX 9.0c says something about not being able to work and redistributionall just won't work. I tried opening pmx editor and still got all those error messages. Any ideas why this is happening?
DirectX 9.0c was removed by Microsoft from their website and unfortunately is no longer available, if you have a modern windows version you don't need it anymore

so uhmmm I need help and it's not actually related to this video at all but yeah HAHAHAHA I recently discovered this thing called ikmakerx that is necessary for the mmd project I'm working on but I couldn't do it because tutorials I see is either using the old version of pmx or they just go straight to adding the ik bones. In short, I kinda need help with it from scratch or just how to add armsIK??? T-T
go to folder where PMXE is located and you should have a folder called plugin, inside it there should be a directory called user "User". Drop the plugin file there.
I can't download the DirectX :( It says "You must be running windows 98, Windows Millennium edition Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows server 2003 family to install the DirectX 9.0"
Try reintaliing DirectX and C++. If that dosen't work make sure your graphics card drivers are installed properly/not corrupted. P.S make sure next time not to post any links as those type of comments are being held for review and I can't see them on my phone

Usually PMXE takes quite some time to load and I still remember when I had my old hard drive it took around 3-4 minutes to open. If it still doesn't open it means you have a problem. So just: -Update Windows as this may during the update might pause some components. And also make just clean your computer and reinstall the Microsoft Redistributional Packs that PMXE requires to run as they might be corrupted or have issues

yup, everytime i download stuff i get anxiety even if i have my anti virus so everytime i download somthing new for mmd if it gave me a virus or not i have nightmares about it giving me a virus XDD

Make sure you click on the .exe and not on anything else....

One of the downloads was relived by Microsoft and so you have to get C++ from learnmmd

The download apers to have been removed... You can get C++ from the learnmmd website.

If that's the case you don't have to reinstall DX9. Have you tried the other ones?

You can get c++ from learnMMD. Just go to the download section and scroll down

7-Zip is just my archiving program.
WinRAR should do the same. You just have to unzip the file you downloaded.

You need to unzip the whole archive not the .exe by itself. All the other files are required for PMXE to run.

i downloaded 7-zip and still dont have the option to unzip
Right click the .zip or .rar or .7z file and click extract. Also make sure you restarted your computer before doing that.
