My Mom went to boarding school there 1945-1953...She went to Holy Cross Academy when it was runned by the Nuns...She was also in the 1952 Olympic Games for Fencing...She would take us there in the 60's for road trips on the weekends...And to the Pirate ship festivals, once a year...In the 90s she bought a townhouse in Clearwater, she sold it 2002...St.Pete's has a special place in my heart...
LOVE ST PETES....walkable neighborhoods...lively downtown...hate how the street flood when it rains...and when a hurricane hits.....stay away...but besides that its amazing
I grew up in South St.Pete around all the gators. My relatives and friends from Miami loved visiting. They said it was country. I met an old timer from Jacksonville and he remembered when St. Pete was dirt roads.
At. Pete has one of the nicest downtowns in the United States, with museums, has free parking north of Vinoy park, a beach, a volleyball court, the Pier, public market place in-between the pier and museums, a resort. the Edge district is nice by the Rays stadium. My personal favorite place in Tampa Bay. A lot of times I see people looking at friendly dolphins in Vinoy park. The south side of St. Pete haven't been there for awhile.
I think all the criminals got out priced out of St. Pete since 2007 and Pinellas county and moved to west Pasco to be honest, it's become safer because the people that would make the city not as safe are out priced out of Pinellas county and moving to the west portion of Pasco county. There's a lot of gentrification going on around St. Pete middle class white people are out priced out of downtown, millionaires are moving in, now they are making the marina district near the Sunshine Skyway for those people.

It's lawsuits, leverage, politics and people not getting what they deserve that's caused a lot of problems. They have people invested in lawsuits and it's taking away from people's retirement to pay their paychecks. That's why everything has to change. They have too many people to spread out the money to so they keep taking the money and the businesses can't afford it.
I 5hink out pricing people that would commit crimes out of Pinellas county, and people do there research the last major hurricane that hit this qrea was like around 1918 over a hundred years ago and it was a cat 3 landfall in Tarpon Springs, so the last hurricane that the qrea took a direct hit was over 100 years ago. Surrounded by beaches. I'm not downplaying Tampa, but if you had millions of dollars qnd from New York, or outpriced in Miami and want a luxury condo where would you go Tampa only has one beach a small one, Pinellas county is surrounded by beaches.
You 😅😅😅😅 wait hold on 😅😅😅😅 lee county???? You have smoked yourself retard if you think ANYTHING in Lee county is safer or nicer than st pete 😅😅😅😅 oh boy.. you don’t even know how stupid you sound to someone who has literally lived or worked in both places 😅😅😅😅 (34 mins from st pete now work there weekly)
