      @@anovosedlik well, the ridged design was meant to help the grip of the tires, but the amount of traffic and the people hitting the brakes hard to actually start sliding caused the road surface to become more slick and slippery, but you have to keep in mind that there are many cars, trucks, and buses which do get down without problems. The "washboard" surface of the road is the problem causing less tire contact with road. Trying to stop on a bumpy surface has the suspension rebound and compression working against each other causing little jumps. Then this causes the tires to lose contact that equals grip with the surface. Closer the bumps are the worse it becomes. Ever notice when you try to stop at a light or stop sign on a bumpy road you can feel your vehicle start to jump/slide forward? That's the problem.

    Whelp, I knew it was Mexico City with the first car being one of their pink and white taxis. Fun fact, basically every major city in Mexico has their own color scheme/vehicle style for official taxis. Mexico City is pink and white, although they used to be red and white years ago. Acapulco has white cars with either blue or yellow fenders, a lot of them being VW Bugs. Guadalajara has white cars with yellow on the doors and the hood. Monterrey has green cars with white roofs and white cars with gold roofs. Cancun has white cars with a green, semi-racing stripe down the side. Tijuana has white cars with either green or orange chevron on the hood.
    I don't know if these are actually mandated color schemes or if they just have different companies in the different areas, but those are the ones I noticed while traveling over the last couple decades.

      Since your there as a Mexican can you tell me are there any vehicle safety inspections? My thought being these are vehicles that have no tread left on their tires.

    • @the_SolLoser
      @the_SolLoser 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's an easy fix.
      Pave the roads properly. All those grooves make it worse, not better. The tires can't get proper traction in order to stop. Just pave it over, smooth it out, and rate of crashes should drop dramatically, as long as it's not wet, frozen, or slicked.

    • @thrilleex
      @thrilleex 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@writerconsidered nope, besides of inspecting motor emissions there isn't really other inspection needed and you can even pay to get the "verification" with a very crappy car.

    • @thrilleex

      @@the_SolLoser nah mate, Mexico is a really hill-y place, the groves on the road reduced accident a whole bunch in all lot of communities. That road is just very steep, also the aren't as many crashed as it seems, rainy season is when you get to see this a lot.

    • @bigredc222
      @bigredc222 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@the_SolLoser I'm thinking the original reason was to control water not considering how it would affect tire traction. A smooth road may cause other problems when it rains that we are unaware of.

  • @tomhath8413

    The incline on that road is close to 45 degrees. Probably okay when it's dry, but the occasional rain in Mexico City turns it into a slippy slide.

      very shitty. i see one problem though, your concept involves a car and a road. which seems a bit out of place in that franchise honestly.
