Warfighter is such a wonderful game! Very thematic and fun! Easy to setup. Only problem it have is an horrendous rulebook for all variants of the game in one book! It creates so much confusion that different content creators play differently! Overall great! Your playthrough shows that you have have played a lot of warfighter. As always thanks for your great channel.
Nice explanation of the play through as you proceeded. I am familiar with the Pacific version of the game, and I believe you misplayed the Barbed Wire card. It shouldn't just be discarded at the end of the turn. That text is linked to the use of a Grenade. Notice that the card has a Cover Value, so you need to hit it with a grenade and stay clear until the end of the turn to discard it. OR... if you are carrying Wire Cutters you use an action to snip them and proceed. Otherwise, why bother carrying Wire Cutters? So, it would have strung you up a bit longer there making it a closer finish. Especially since your grenade throws at the Objective were mostly misses. Otherwise, thanks for giving us a glimpse of the North Africa version of the game.
Thank you. I'll have to check on the forum. The top part says it's there until eliminated or discarded. Then the next part tells you how to do either thing, eliminate (explosives) or discard it (wait an extra turn). I played it that way probably because that's how I thematically understood it, but I could very well be wrong. I just thought it was primarily a hurdle (🤣) to overcome, rather than a barrier that impedes movement until destroyed (like a wall). If I did play that wrong, it most definitely would have been a close finish. My rolls were so bad that game.
@@tabletopforone Yeah, I have an expansion for my Pacific game with walls and barricades that pretty much hold you off more than some enemies. So, think of that as a barbed wire field which would take more than just hopping one strand of wire. It's not difficult with either a grenade or wire cutters but it certainly doesn't just go away by waiting until the end of the turn.
The Pacific game is my favorite for sure. I need to get more expansions for it. Here is the discussion I started on the Facebook page if you want to check it out: m.facebook.com/groups/dvgwarfighter/permalink/6176680962398939/?mibextid=Nif5oz The designer confirms I played it right, but explains that it's not as realistic as barbed wire would have been more of an issue. So, in the game, it's more gamified (if that is a word lol) and serves as a minor delay. I really appreciate you asking this question!
I’m new to Warfighter and I found this extremely helpful. Thank you so much for the time effort , and a very clean video!
Oh, that's great to hear. I'm glad it was helpful to you.
Miss you man. Hope you're well. Thanks for introducing me to this game.
Wow, one of the best tutorial videos I've ever watched! Thanks for making it!
Fantastic work Daniel, thank you for the video, it was very useful as always, Joanna
Thank you so much! I'm glad you found it useful.
Great video, the explanations are very clear.
Thank you so much!
Good Demo, this will be very useful for new Warfighters.
Thank you so much! That is exactly what I hoped for.

You're welcome, and thank you for your kind words! I agree on the rulebook, as it is a mess.
Thanks for the vid
Thanks for watching! 🙂
Great video!! In the txt description of the video you said "Warfighter" is your #2 game, what is #1?

hey Daniel, would you mind doing buyers guide for Warfighter? There are so many versions and expansions that it is a little intimidating
Thank you so much for a great idea. I will add that to my schedule and try to get it out in the near future.
@@tabletopforone Thanks!
Why did the wire go away?
If I remember correctly, the wire goes away after one round. It basically slows you down for a round.
Why did you gain 4 experience for defeating the 1 wound forward observer? It’s 1 experience per health of the defeated unit isn’t it?
No, in this case, you gain XP for the value of the card in the top right corner. I'll get a page number for the rules on it.
It's on page 45 where it shows the anatomy of the card. The hostile draw value and xp value are the same.
Yea I saw it after I posted. It’s been a hot minute since I played it
@petethehawk5186 no problem. There is a rule in Fantasy that it's one per wound (Fodder). So many rules, easy to miss.
