    Years ago when I first started, I was shooting beside Crispin and when I asked him what the purpose of the stabilizers along with what you’ve listed he also said that it slows things down which was the first thing I noticed when I added them to my setup.

    I’m in the market for a V-bar setup so this is helpful and timely. Thanks!

    Hi Jake, could you please make your tuning series book available for kindle? That way I can always access it on my phone.

      It’s on the list of things to do. It didn’t work before as it was picture heavy but now they offer that in kindle.

      Great. When it's available on kindle will you make an announcement on your youtube channel? You could maybe promote your fletchings, shirts and grips at the same time.
      Btw, there are some scammers commenting on your videos using your profile picture and pretending to be you. It's not a big deal as it's so obvious but I thought I'd let you know.

    Hi Jake, I would like to see your take on weight positions in barebow. There are many options with the new rules. It is very confusing on where to put theceright and how much weight to use where

    Awesome video Jake! Perfect timing for me, as I have come to realize I have a really bad left bow cant that gets worse the longer the shot goes. Gonna have to play around with things and figure out how to keep my bow more vertical. Would love to see a video specifically about bow cant!

    thanks Jake. I've just bought my 1st adjustable v-bar and extender. Whilst i fully understand the relationship between forward and backward weighting and how to adjust, what I'm looking for is to find what is a good starting point for actual balance setup when gripping the riser? Horizontal? Heavy forward, slight forward etc?

    To balance the bow with stabilization it is a simple matter of calculating moments: the mass x the lever arm of the pole - the masses of the V-bar x by their length = 0. The lever arms are calculated in function of the chosen point of gravity and not of their actual length. In general, we put a little more weight on the left V-bar for a right-hander to compensate for the weight of the viewfinder and the shepherd-button. For vibration it is necessary to know the frequency of its arc by studying the empty sound and compensate accordingly according to the stabilization materials. The entire stabilization must compensate for the frequency of the arc, because the stabilization itself has a natural frequency and it is this which will vibrate with the arc or against the arc (in phase or counter-phase).
    Of course the angles of the V-bars and their location are taken into account in the resolution...
    This is why, for a non-physicist, this adjustment is empirical...

    Hi Jake,
    You say that V-bars are used to prevent canting. Can't we also prevent canting if we move down the center of gravity by simply adding weight at the lower end of the riser? I have seen that Liza Unruh (elite archer from Germany) has moved the V-bar to the lower end.

      He’s using AAE Advante-X. I have a set and their slim and light and work really well with Doinkers A-Bombs!

    Hello Jake, have you ever had an instance where your bareshafts were kicking a little bit but still grouped with your fletched shafts at longer ranges. Let’s say 40yds? Love the content! Thanks!

    I mainly shoot compound, and I've definitely shot with way too much weight on the back. I currently have a pretty stable setup, but I do want to do some fine tuning. Although something I personally do is shoot a V-Bar on my compound, so I have much more control over my left/right balance.

    Hi Jake, im shooting an old Hoyt pro medalist 29 pounds. I think my bow is balanced ok. But the thing i want to ask is :" how the string is lined up for you on the riser when you'ved ankered? Wich is the best way? What are your thoughts before you are releasing? Do you keep your breath? And how many seconds before you release the string?

    Hello Jake, thank you very much for the resources. I would love to know if your usual setup is a 30" long rod, 15" short rods and 3" ext, just for reference. Thanks!

    Hi Jake,
    Do you have any suggestion on what scopes to buy / modification to a recurve sight pin (8/32 Thread) so that magnification can be used on a recurved sight to be used for SPT purposes.
    Cheers

    2:48 - this point is my biggest problem but i can't remove more weight from the front so i chose the way to change the length from 30" to 26" of the rod.

    Hi Jake, when pulling through the clicker, do you do it by (a) pushing the bow hand forward, (b) pulling the string hand back, (c) pulling the shoulder blades together, or a combination of these? I would have thought that at the transfer stage your shoulders are pulled back to their maximum and there is no more draw length to be made from them.

    Question, is the AAE advante-x too stiff to use on a low mass/poundage bow? I'm thinking of upgrading from what I have, I'm on a budget so won't be able to afford your extension, should I still go with these or go with another stabalizer? (I am aware you are using it right now, but I'm shooting currently with 28#, and far lower mass on the stabilisers?

    Hi Jake, I know you probably don't have much experience with this, but could you do a video about shooting recurve for those with refractive disorders (needing eyeglasses)?

    • @JakeKaminskiArchery
      @JakeKaminskiArchery  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Needing eye glasses for a standard correction? If that’s what you mean I wear contacts and have shot my highest scores in practice in glasses.

    • @amrazing33
      @amrazing33 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JakeKaminskiArchery Yes! That's what I mean. I always feel like I had to adjust my head differently when I'm wearing glasses. Meaning the ideal head position for me is the one where I'm not wearing glasses, but I can't have that while I'm wearing one. Do you not have similar experience?
