    I agree. These Tuttle Manga drawing books helps me build my library in anatomy, poses, expressions, and character of the series. Cannot done without Tuttle and their artist. Thank you

      I got the basic,dynamic,chibi and clothing manga guidebooks,and let me just say,they helped me improve a lot. I think my favorite out of all of them were the chibi ones,they're so in-depth. My wishlist was to get to furry guidebook

    I still have my Manga Mania Shoujo book printed in 2004! Perfect for a younger me that really loved Sailor Moon and Cardcaptors :3

    I think while the book has good information, it is more on the pretty photos and poses for references more than actual teaching and giving information
    I find books and tutorials in general created by storyboarders and animators to have not only more informed anatomy, gesture but also perspective
    Not only their profession requires them to be well-trained in multiple subjects, as mentioned above, but also how to shorthand drawing, which is very important for people who want to get into drawing manga
    One book i would highly recommend is by TB Choi: design your own anime and manga character
    If you want to improve your storytelling skill with various perspectives for your story, i would suggest Framed Ink book series

      Hey there, they are not mine to give and not sure if there are offs available for these books. There are plenty of great free tutorials on TH-cam, Tumblr, Pinterest etc. if people are interested I could go over some great free resources in a video?

  • @s1nistr433
    @s1nistr433 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The reason a lot of these books suck is because they're made by one-off authors/cartoonists trying to cash in on the trend of anime while barely knowing anything about it themselves. There are some good ones but you really have to go out of your way to search for them because they are the exception and not the rule.

    • @MonsterMaker
      @MonsterMaker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are a lot more good quality ones published in english and available now than compared to even 10 years ago! It's great but you're right its like hunting to find ones that are worth while. I think a lot of parents or family buying a gift for someone will go "oh anime!" and not know what are good ones. Hoping these videos help people save time and money and get books they love!
