Worms and maggots scare me more than spiders, scorpions, centipedes etc.. Those other bugs are creepy yes, but worms and maggots represent death and rot, which other bugs don't. And it's just the way the maggot moves that makes me jump. In my opinion flies are the most annoying insects in the world and i hate them more than anything. There is no other bug that causes so much nuisance, not even the mosquito. At least the mosquito comes with a purpose, he drinks blood and fucks off, he doesn't cause the scratching on purpose, i can forgive mosquitos. But flies... They don't stop, always on the face always on the screen, always buzzing around for no purpose and reason..
I find it interesting how fast the bodies of some creatures work, like being able to lay that many eggs - it's like a conveyer belt throwing together all the building blocks of that egg and churning it out in just a few seconds.
If they hatch in only a couple hours, and die in a short while, how does the female fly survive the winter and then hatch more eggs? Do they hibernate? 🤨
The egg laying reminds me of the xenomorph queen laying face hugger eggs. Funny thing is, the odds are likely of a xenomorph (Alien) like species somewhere in the universe. The only part that’s really unlikely is them going from hatchling to adult in a few hours.

I killed a fly in my room today, and when I went to clean up the mess I saw that what I thought was fly goop were in fact little wriggling strands of green maggots that burst out of the fly as I hit it. In horror, I watched as these maggots wriggled off the wall I found them on and sink behind a crack in the window such that I couldn't see them again. After spraying that wall with insect killer, I immediately gravitated towards this video in complete and utter fear. I am now lying in bed nervous and unsure about when these maggots will strike next. Are they going to come out of the wall? Or did the fly lay it's spawn behind my bookshelf? Or even in the very blankets I encase myself in. I'm scared, and alone. Please, awaiting help in abject terror.

@omegoshtv5288 it does work. Sometimes it'll squish their guts on the floor, or you might need to take a few arm movements forward and backwards to get them into the vacuum. But a lot of them don't actually die in the vacuum, to prevent them from crawling back out you should empty the vacuum in your outside bin as soon as you're done
Oh my goodness! I remember the time back in June 2019, my mother got a strawberry and chocolate Nesquik from Dunkin Donuts for my little sister to drink. Then, in August 2019, the Nesquiks were still in the car, one of which was in my sister's right cup holder on her car seat, and one on her door side. My sister was freaking out and I didn't know why, until I took a quick close-up and saw maggots all over it along with flies around it! My grandma had to come into the car and throw the rotten Nesquiks away with her bare hands.

my country often calls flies demons. cuz they feed on living flesh or flesh in particular after they hatch. my cat is suffering so much bcs of them. they ate my cats feet and im struggling to cure him bcs my place has no vet. he cried so much i had to bare the disgust seeing the worms being pluck one by one.

@omegoshtv5288 it does work. Sometimes it'll squish their guts on the floor, or you might need to take a few arm movements forward and backwards to get them into the vacuum. But a lot of them don't actually die in the vacuum, to prevent them from crawling back out you should empty the vacuum in your outside bin as soon as you're done

Oh my goodness! I remember the time back in June 2019, my mother got a strawberry and chocolate Nesquik from Dunkin Donuts for my little sister to drink. Then, in August 2019, the Nesquiks were still in the car, one of which was in my sister's right cup holder on her car seat, and one on her door side. My sister was freaking out and I didn't know why, until I took a quick close-up and saw maggots all over it along with flies around it! My grandma had to come into the car and throw the rotten Nesquiks away with her bare hands.
