Tell me how 7 machanics couldn’t tell me the motor mount was bad. Instead they flushed the transmission changed oil so many times, new spark plugs, ignition switch and more. My best friend looks at it 30 second diagnosed with Front lower motor mount and egr solenoid. Yet he doesn’t have a degree. Get out from behind the computers and get your head in the vehicle
@@oceanroller387that’s why so many manufacturers want cars to be disposable and proprietary to fix, because if you are willing to put your mind to it, it’s not that bad!
Why did you approve these very obviously unrelated repairs is what I am wondering. I mean didnt you ask yourself how on earth could an ignition switch, an electronic component, cause mechanical vibrations, throttle responce delay or bad engine movement in the engine bay? The thing is an engine mount that has or is almost about to fail is the easiest part to diagnose as it is first felt and upon popping your hood clearly visible. This truck is a particularly bad example, due to the location of the mounts and the apparent absense of the rubber bushings inside them, but still it is easy to see bad engine movement when you hit the throttle.
Bought this used car 2 months ago and the mounts are so bad the RPMs fluctuate so drastically... called the mechanic shop I go to and got a $600-700 estimate. For an $80 price for a engine+transmission mount I'll do it myself😂
My boyfriend took my car to the mechanic who replaced my motor mounts earlier this year and showed him how much my engine was moving and inquired about the warranty. The mechanic brushed us off saying the engine is supposed to move when you shift gears and he couldn’t tell it’s a bad motor mounts until he puts it on a lift. Took it back to my regular mechanic and in 5mins he told me it was the motor mounts 🤦🏾♀️
LOL. Mine was like that except there was a huge bang.. Both the front and rear mounts were broken on 1 side. All fixed now Ps I knew it was bad when I accelerated and it changed gear with that huge thump noise. Once or twice I had people looking at me from the footpath / sidewalk . It was that loud.
i got stopped for a roaddide emissions test once and the guy heard a screech under the hood that i hadnt noticed, he saved my van, the motor was doing that same thing as in your video , and the fan blade was grazing the radiator !
Yea its not supposed to do that i dont understand what you dont get the engine is producing power and needs to be mounted to the frame of the vehivle if your mounts go out the engine will flop aroumd and can literally fall out if you dont fix it it could jerk so hard it just breaks off
Robbery. You can do it yourself if you buy the parts and tools and research it for abt $300 give or take or go to your local shop for abt $600. Shouldnt be over $1k unless theyre fixing other damage or something.

When she tells you to "flex it" 🤣🤣
On a serious note, it's crazy how many people I've known drive around with bad mounts.

Understood. I like the analogy through visual. Thankyou

I had all 3 bad on my 04 accord 😭 drove it around like that for a year until I could afford to get ‘em replaced. Man that clunking was so bad 😭
That’s not bad, that’s just gone
Engine almost took off by itself

Was there even a mount on it lmaoo
This is where the mechanic would tell you that it’s because of the thermostat that’s why that’s happening 😂

this is happening when when I am changing the gear at zero speed , any explain?
Same happened to me Found the solution to change the mount

When you change gears, like going into reverse, the rpms do change. If bad enough, it will move your engine like this. Bad motor mount
Mine moved like this today and my friend said it was fine smh lol
Is alive!
We have lift-off.....
That motor is twerkin😂
Was it having a thump/lurch when accelerating from a complete stop.
they usually do when motor mounts fail
I was missing 3 mount bolts and my car was JUMPING side to side when I braked

More like motor mount broken or just gone.
Audi wants $1,900 to replace two (2) motor mounts on my S5. Does that sound normal, or like highway robbery?

The fact that you bought an Audi and don't wanna pay what they charge means you should of bought a Honda
