    "My cat is *so* lazy, it could never kill anything"
    Wrong. Cats are extremely efficient in environments with songbirds and rodents. They are invasive. If you have a cat, keep it indoors, and supervise its time outside. Use a leash, even. YOU are responsible for everything your pet does.

    1:20 this is also called secondary poisoning. and in some cases the secondary prey that is poisoned will STILL have a lethal dose of poison in it, and when it kills something that is called tertiary poisoning. secondary and tertiary poisoning are why we need to shoot wild hogs for invasive species control (as a last resort). some farmers will actually still use poisons though, which is an ecological nightmare. coyote overpopulation is an even vastly more complex problem with no obvious solutions

    if i can recently we have a vulture tree by the sign of the town and recently i kicked and moved a dead squirrel out of the road onto the cement sections where the signs are because cars were honking and trying not to hit the birds so i moved it so they wouldnt get hit and also no one would crash trying not to hit them

    Crows can eat frozen food ?

    • @Slaugther
      @Slaugther ปีที่แล้ว

      Im sure since its really hot there they just melt fast, so extra enrichment by mimicking bug carapace, bark, shells while its hard. Then when it melts its more like a carcass. Also probably much more convenient and safer to prepare them frozen.

    Have you ever worked with TNRM (trap, neuter, return, manage) organizations or folks working to reduce feral cat populations? It's a tricky problem to solve and I've heard a lot of conflicting information. I've landed on the side of tnrm=best plan because it's more likely to get long term community support while also being effective at reducing hunting behaviors (in neutered ferals.) I get why that might not be considered adequate from a conservation perspective, since it does not quickly reduce the threat.
