The punishment to reward ratio in Trials is an actual joke. All your defenses are removed, enemies do 30% more damage, and your taxes increase by $5000 IRL but you get 50 honor and a $5 coupon at Subway. Like BRO WHAT?!
Bro last night i went through 3 attempts and the last one i got a random affliction takes away your ability to SEE what the next room will be (this includes whatever affliction it may be!) this caused me to also get an affliction that selects random room each time fucking me even more! I was so fucking mad by the end I just shut off the game! I’m SICK of RNG being in EVERY fucking thing! So annoying to get fucked over by RNG! That’s not a skill issue that is some bs mechanic!
don't forget the tedious 40m runback of trying to avoid those instalose afflictions and time wasting gauntlets for your next attempt only for the last boss randomly apply one poison that removes all your honor even if it doesn't come close to killing you lol.
The problem with rarity on gear isn't even about the balance between power vs drops. The problem is that there is no space for other interesting stats. You need life and resistances no matter what, so every build that requires interesting stats like mana leech or certain uniques just can't exist because it will always be less efficient than a build that only needs life and resistances and can fit rarity on everything. It's a massive detriment to build variety and should be removed entirely.
There is no problem with rarity being on gear to improve drops the problem is when it is the only option. So, the issue isn't black or white good and bad. It's about being capable of balancing the end result and the problem is not that you gotta put rarity on gear meaning your power decreases. It's that Maps themselves and high base rarity monsters specifically bosses and rares themselves are too high of a base load for the rarity on gear to multiply. It's like saying that the reason poison is overpowered because the gem level of the gem is able to go too high because of the stats on gear but the real reason is the base of the gem gains too much bonus from levels in general past lv 24. See what I mean you are in the correct bracket but only focused on the one area it effects you because of power loss. The fact is you should be spending multiple divines on rolling maps and towers correctly and bosses to pump your breaches before you even look at gear for rarity. My point is here that if you did indeed take rarity off gear it would change absolutely nothing.
I would say that the Honor Bar in the trial should disappear once you make it to the boss. The fight against the boss should just be a fight to the death.
I second that idea. You don't need to buff the rooms, you just need to reduce the base honor by 50%, or even 75% since most of the big honor hits are taken in the boss.
I saw a suggestion that was good, during ascensions only, honor loss doesn’t end the trial, so u can still finish boss and get points. Outside of that it can function like it is.
even worse.. remember the first time you ge to endgame and you need to run 20 tier 1 to get your first t2 drop. Then.. when you run that tier 2.. nothign drops and you back to t1.
Fix atlas tree, run better maps (stack breach/delirium/etc), use increase waystone quantity/rarity in towers, idk I sustain 15s pretty easily even when i'm not doing all of this combined.
My main gripe is still how long things take. The difficulty is fine, but when everything takes so long, the penalty for failure is time more than anything. If trial of the sekehmas just got more difficult, instead of longer, I think the fourth ascendency would be more attainable. If maps didn't take so long to complete, backtracking, drop rates, and less movement speed wouldn't feel so bad. I get that time is its own form difficulty, but if the time is just there to make things difficult, that time needs to be fun. This is a game after all. If you want to keep everything slow and difficult, mechanics need to be more rewarding either with drops or fun. Make it worth my time.
This. I don't have my 3rd ascendancy simply because I don't feel like sitting there for hours doing Sekhemas over and over to get better honour relics. It's boring and takes too long. It's a waste of my time.
@@justsomerandomguyman Just buy the honor resistance relics, I also did like 3-4 trials to grind and then somebody in global chat just gave me their honor res relics. Definitely need them tho, the third ascendency boss was annoying.
It only took me 2 level 51 runs to get over 50 honor resistance relics: just pick up all relics, key chests with relics and buy relivs at the end of trial. 4th ascendancy required only level 61 trial with 3 floors. Was really easy in the end.
As a semi-casual 'father of three', I spent an unhealthy amount of hours in POE 2... got 1 character and lvl 82, 2nd at 79... managed to do the Trial of Sekhemas for 5-6 point on a zillionth attempt and due to basically a very lucky run where all kinds of boons made me 40% faster, stronger, while enemies and bosses were weaker.... I cant even imagine what the Ultimatum would be at Tier 4 or Sekhemas at Tier 4... Its just crazy. Trials should be an achievable goal for all players, not just the META builds or not nerfed exploit builds. It should be a normal achievable target to reach after beating the campaign. For many of us 'casuals' it could actually be the last thing we can achieve in the game... as the mapping is just a huge dump of time leading only to currency which has no other purpose than trading and getting richer and richer... buying gear for alts. Thinking about the game as a seasonal game where every season will probably be like 3-4 months, its unthinkable for anyone outside the hardcore community to be able to spent the unholy amount of time playing the game like Rax or the other high profile ARPG youtubers or streamers... its simply not possible. Yet I have the feeling the game is and I fear its going to be finetuned around these guys. (I do hope GGG sees and understands they are 0.001% of the playerbase). For me, Rarity seems to be a topic for those Endgame - all day long players - who can afford to craft or trade a ton of items to actually make builds focused on rarity while still being able to clear high end stuff. Normal players can be lucky if they get 1 set of kind of OK gear to even reach endgame. I havent seen a single Divine orb on both of my characters and got around 100 exalts altogether, some due to currency exchange - which is THANK GOD- an ingame thing. And this is actually what I would like GGG to add the most - an working functional restricted Auction house, like WoW has. The trading site is just an exercise in frustration. Endgame and mapping are as I shortly mentioned above just a huge dump of time for those who can afford it - goal = get rich or die trying. I dont see any story there, any events or continuation of our characters other than the currently broken trading system and economy. What I think would improve the Endgame by a large bit, would be actually some class fantasy based continuation for the characters... Achieving some goal connected to your chosen ascension, getting some achievements or even unlocking SOME UNLOCKABLE in-game transmogs which would look good. Microtransactions shouldnt be the only way to get better looking skins for your toons. Some in game - endgame related activities could be a huge goal for many of us - who would like to experience the endgame, but not for the sake of farming currency forever. I strongly hope GGG implements an AH. I strongly believe, the current mapping system will get an improvement in terms of goals for normal mortals and will not only focus on currency farming, but on other rewards... targetable unique farming / transmog farming... some story based class driven continuation of the campaign.
This needs to be pinned and upvoted into the stratosphere. I fall into this category of gamer and it’s aggravating to see the game being designed around streamers and hardcore players, they are missing a massive portion of their player base being semi-hardcore/casual gamers. On this continued path they will drive away far more than they retain.
This. Trials and that have such potential to be Hades-like rogue-like endless content as long as difficulty can be balanced and rewards be rewarding. Which leads to your other point, why dont games have good transmog/cosmetic rewards anymore?! Id grind trials all goddamn day for a cosmetic reward i can flex. I hope since its early access, they'll come but in general, gaming has moved so far away from this..
@@AcrossTheSea12 1 and 2 area very achievable, 3rd trial isnt free even with 75% honour resistance due to a large amount of RNG you encounter on all 3 floors which may lead to all kinds of situations making you unable to retain your honour + your build matters too... I did the 3rd trial on my infernalist witch with 75% honour resist, 40% speed boon, 30% less health for monsters, 40% +damage for me and my minions... with that luck it was easy, but I failed 4 times before due to RNG on those 3 floors before the last boss
You shouldn’t need “honor resist”. The whole honor system is garbage. If I build glass cannon, and get hit I lose life. If I build tank and can’t clear fast I lose honor much faster than the glass cannon wipe everything out fast builds. It’s a terrible system. It punishes the sustain tank builds and reward the glass cannon 1hp 2000 shield builds.
Agreed. I'll be chugging through a map practically falling asleep and be one-shot by some explosion at my feet that surfaced from god knows where. I'm very tanky too with max res, higher max fire res, and cloak of flame. It would be beneficial if they started with some death stat screen that could show where the hell the damage came from cause often times it's just baffling.
Sometimes my game just freezes, like a pause where everything like menus still work but I cant do anything but close the game. After logging back in the portals are always gone and the map is failed :)
I just beat the 4th trial of sekhemas about an hour ago because I got the boon “you can’t take damage in the next room” right before I went into the boss arena 😂 I just stood there getting hit by all of Zarohk’s projectiles and took no damage.
It's not that fun. I have faith they'll make it better though. The question is whether it will be good enough to keep people engaged for multiple seasons.
@@danielmantell8751 I don't think so, ggg had these same problems occur in Poe1, the fact these same and some that they already fixed in poe1 return in Poe2 is quite astonishing.
Straight up, Asecndancy should be a fun activity you look forward too. There's enough ballbusting challenge in Poe2 with more surely to come. Getting your talent points can just be fun. I fucking hate the current trials.
I keep makingg new characters around level 85 because maps are just... boring. Clearing trash mobs over and over with little to no reward is exhausting and feels like a time waste.
@@jovasmav agreed for regular people the game ended at Act 3, the map system the way it stands is a waste of time because you will never earn enough currency or get lucky enough on a craft to reach a citadel let alone enough maps to sustain the level you could possibly run.
if you use your best maps on bosses you shouldnt run out of maps. i use a 400-500% waypoint map and get 4-5 tier 15 maps. then juice your map with breeches/irradiation and add delirium to the map and loot will be dropping for you like crazy. the endgame in this game is what ya make it.
My two cents: 1- Rarity: I just sucks the way it is now, because basically just one class can do everything and have rarity, which is Stormweaver. Try to do the same with Warrior, GL. Rarity should be just ripped off, or added as passive from reward after killing whatever thing. 2 - maps: waystone drop ranges: Drop a T5 whilst doing T15 is such a frustrating thing, drop ranges should be -2 +2 5 - ascendancy: gauntlets are most horrible things ever. I once got my Asc4 run ruined because I touched a trap, the one that spits little balls of lava/fire from one wall to the opposite wall, got stunlocked and had my 12k honor drained in 1 second. I got so frustrated that I avoided the game for like 4 days. Final cent: There is no chilling content in the game. Everything you do in the endgame is under pressure, it's just tiresome. Had to quit the game for now because you just can't have fun with all the punishing mechanics in the endgame.
Totally agree with the last point that there’s no chill content. After 1-2hours of grinding high tier maps I just want something not so punishing. With less rewards is totally fine, but the low tier maps gives near 0 exp and still can kill you. It’s just tiring for me.
Having rarity come from bosses that can be farmed in endgame sounds like it could fix so many problems. Numbers can be adjusted but after campaign you have 200 and every ten maps on average you can fight a boss that gives plus 10. Need to do 100 maps for 100 more mf. 500 maps for 500 more and it'll tapper off but you can always just log in and farm ten maps to get some mf.
I didn't know I loved POE1 Heist until after POE2 endgame. I miss the chill content, there's no sleeping while running T15 maps without a broken build.
towers should be a fun challenge where you test yourself to see how many floors you can ascend, then based on how many floors you complete, the tower will give you sight and irradiate that many surrounding areas afterward. if you can make it to the top of the tower (level 10) there will be a boss waiting for you. it's an elevator ride in a maze that is constantly shifting.
Yeah honestly in general we need more bosses in maps. I hope they undo the change from PoE 1 to PoE 2 where only some maps have bosses. Idc if my build does so much dmg I trivialize the boss. I want to have a boss to culminate my map as a grand finale. Going around hunting rares is boring shit.
The on death effects are miserable. Nobody likes that mechanic, it just slows you down for no real reason. You have to run far away and stand still for like 5 seconds after killing any rare enemy. Takes the fun out of seeing something cool drop.
Thr fact that so many people are willing to pay a hilarious amount of currency just to get carried through it shld be telling on how annoyingly tedious the ascendencies are.
@@itsappl3s663yep I’ve spent 1 div total to get all my ascendancies for 2 classes, took 10 mins. I will NEVER run another I filtered the djinns and the other one off so I don’t even see them
Agreed. I get what they wanted to do, but it sucks. They already made a good game, they didn't need to lock progression behind a terrible mini game, just let us progress with the normal game mechanics.
Honestly, I don't think adding more to atlas passives is the answer either. That's another system where we have finite resources and a choice where to spend them, assigning more rarity to the nodes does the same thing it does on gear, it removes choice. Those nodes become mandatory, you suck without them. They need to put rarity where anyone can access it without needing to sacrifice anything else. A baseline modifier based on level area, bonuses from waystone tier and modifiers, bonuses from map effects like irradiated, bonuses from things like strongboxes, breaches, etc. Basically loot quality needs tying to the content that loot is coming from more than anything else. If you reach a point where you can farm juiced up t15s, you're going to get great loot, no matter which class, ascendancy, or build you're running. It takes us away from that stupid system of needing to specially build an MF character just so that we can have fun on _other_ characters. There shouldn't be a 'tax' on having fun.
We have, and will have, 6 act bosses. Give +rarity to those. You beat a pinnacle boss or event boss the first time, an extra +10. Rewards the people going further but gives everyone the same chance
That's still not a good design, because it means everyone in late end game will have tons of rarity while players who haven't progressed that far will have none, which will lead to the economy still being completely broken and most players not being able to afford anything.
@@DarkFenix2k5well there has to be some sort of sacrifice otherwise they would just take it out of the game, there has to be some sort of risk for more reward but yes I agree currently it’s shit
rarity is one thing. The reason why we are not excited about loot is because there are so many “trash” stat in game. Why does the gear at level 75 has +11 HP? We need loot 2.0
I'm so sick of picking up loot that has mostly T1 or T2 stats on it as well as the stats being completely irrelevant to the Class that i'm playing, it's the exact same issues when it comes to the crafting. At this point I feel like i'm being trolled. Not a great feeling for my first venture into the arpg genre.....
This is the same argument that pushed Blizzard into revamping the gear in D4. Felt good at first but then it becomes “I have to spend time looking at every piece of gear instead of playing” Having played D4 a good bit, this feels better. BUT I’m not super far in POE2 yet.
I would agree that Loot needs a buff for SSF only (remove Migrate to Trade league, buff drop quality). I disagree hard in Trade League where you have to balance drops around 100k players trading. While crafting and finding Loot may be Painful even for myself, we have for the first time in PoE for Years actually interesting rare items in Trade. Introduce more determenisting crafting or better drops and we will get to the same point as in PoE 1 where either 90% perfect rare items are completely worthless and taken for granted in any build or perfect crafted Items are 100s of divine. If you insist on not Trading in Trade League where decent items exist for 10 Ex, thats on you. That the Drops are as they are in SSF, that feels unfair.
@@paradox2376the difference is D4 and Blizz are being lazy about implementing a loot filter, so you have to check every individual piece of gear, not just the basetypes. With PoE you can have lootfilters that specifically single out certain base types or ilvl’s you are searching for. So if they ever make a loot 2.0 where, let’s say, 81+ ilvl items cannot roll bellow 30-40% tier range, then you can effectively have a filter for items that you KNOW will have at least T3 affixes and can only roll T3 and upward when you skam them.
A good solution for this, would be for higher item level items, to completely remove the really trash low level affixes like +5% cold resist or +9 life. These need to steadily be removed from the pool the higher the level. Exalted orbs right now are ultra gamble. They could even make exalted orbs better by actually making them give you 2 choices on each slam, like choose one of two. This would improve things without being too broken.
It's understandable at the beginning of beta that endgame would be incomplete and problematic. We can only hope GGG has staff watching these types of videos and taking notes. I imagine we're in for a big patch in the coming weeks.
I agree and certainly hope so. Most people are in agreement on the changes that need to be made. They did a great job on the campaign, and quickly patched a lot of the major issues. Hopefully they do a good job with end game and addressing player requests for changes.
I'd agree if it was a beta or alpha. But this is early access. It's supposed to be the final product bar a few bugs. I feel PoE 2 still needs at least a year or two of work before being in a good state.
Rarity wouldn't be a problem if the base drop rate was acceptable. The issue is that playing without rarity is absolutely awful, to the point that you're a sucker if you take no rarity. That's what needs to get fixed.
It's a balance. I don't use all my best Rarity items because I want or need other stats but I do add some or as much as is doable. It's like every stat. It's a trade off and you have to find your balance for your build.
I don't t hi drop rates are bad, if there was no rarity everyone would be on the same level and stuff would be cheaper to buy. Even without rarity you drop a good amount of currency in high tier maps, divine orbs are way too rare, with that I agree a lot, jewelers orbs are similar - very rare.
@@PeterDeMarco if you would have any braincells you would know that it's actually not minorities opinion, your opinion at best 50% of communities opinion, so don't talk shit when you have no clue. It’s insanely hard to find upgrades. For a dev that doesn’t want people to trade since it “trivializes” the game they sure are doing everything they can to push people to trading whether it being upgrades or maps/trials etc. It’s extremely unbalanced between trade and finding any meaningful upgrades in-game. It’s practically non-existent. They need to make rebalance loot completely and they need to make more loot that drops is attuned to your class.

I really enjoy the game too, but they need to adjust some things, or they'll lose me. Playing SSF in this game right now is a joke.
So, I don't tune into many PoE2 videos mostly because I was trying to keep the experience as pure as I could. I've been fucking STRUGGLING, and now, just now, I've learned why. I've spent an ungodly amount of time stuck between T1 and T5 maps because I just can't upgrade my gear. To find out currency drops are affected by Rarity fucking INFURIATES me. GGG's hardline stance against IIR ever affecting currency in PoE1 was somehow lifted for PoE2, and that completely blows my mind, because IIQ is still a thing. Jesus christ I hate GGG so much for some of the asinine decisions they've made for this game.

Last Epoch does all of these systems better than D4 or POE1&2. It's a shame they aren't funded to the level that allows them to design and create the digital assets (characters, world, FX) that D4 had during its development and GGG received from Tencent for POE2. We'd have a real three-way horse race going on right now, with every player a winner. :)
Last epoch has better systems than both poe1 and poe2. It just sucks that the Devs of last epoch are more concerned with in game cosmetics than FIXING THEIR FUCKING GAMES PERFORMANCE ISSUES
Here is the list you will have once game releases: 1) Why is there no ingame loot filter that you can customize build into the game? 2) Why is there no combat log so I can see what the F killed me and how so I can learn from my mistakes? 3) Why can I get one shot by a random mob in maps? 4) Why is there no in game auction house, why the F do I need to go to an outside website that is full of "flippers" that waste my time? These are all issues in POE1 they will never address and I bet it's the same in POE2 as well.
You have no idea about game balance nor design. All the points you listed are worthless and deceiving. Loot filter cannot be in the game and if it ever was you'd still want an external one due to personalization. You can literally set your own sounds up and colors, go look it up. It's like with addons in wow. A developer will NEVER EVER come close to satisfy player's customization expectation. As it shows in wow. No matter the UI upgrades it's literally unplayable without addons. Combat log would just say you have been killed by a chaos hit that dealt you 10k dmg. If you can't figure that one out, plus most of the time you get very overkilled. What should it show? All the damage? Only the part that killed you? Learn what? All the abilities and hits are super telegraphed. Visual clarity is a thing to consider when making a build. Becasue they want you to respect mobs. It's that simple. The combat is made soulslike not minecraft like. Dodge, have good defensive layers or die. That's another thing to consider when making a build. Without all these extra layers the builds that deals the most damage is objectively the better. It doesn't work that way in poe1 where you need to specialize in your chosen content. Auction house is the biggest c4ncer you can ever have in an online game. If you think it will make economy better you have no idea what you're talking about. The ONLY reason YOU a low 20% player can make any amount of currency is beasue players like me don't have time to sell what you sell. We don't deem it worthy. It makes us lose currency per hour. That's what allows you to have a different economy, otherwise you'd have no chance to ever make it up just like irl. The system intentionally handicaps the better players to give noobs a chance. And there is STILL a humongous disparity at factors like 10000x. The trading that the npc provides is a really fair compromise that allows for way more income strategies that wouldn't be allowed otherwise. A top player loses WAY more by trading than you do in comparison, please grow some braincells instead of plagueing the feedback section
@@Luca48882 if loot filter cannot be in the game how do you explain Last Epoch's in game loot filter that is probably the closest in feature as the one in PoE?
100% agree with this. After aruging with my friends for hours on these very same issue, I finally realized, its not just the devs, its the players who are equally contributing to this kind of ignorant behavior. They argue on behalf of the devs and justify why so and so is not in the game, or why its the way it is. Like where are the stash tab improvements? All the things you listed above is in a game like Last Epoch. Its a SUPER small studio and they were able to build it for the first ever game they made, and somehow GGG couldn't get around to things like loot filters, random 1 shots etc. GGG won't give a f*** as long as there are enough players to funnel their show, it is what it is

It brought my honor down from 8100 to 400 and my 6300 ES gone…insane they add afflictions that brick builds. Why would it just not be like a percent loss, instead of whole thing just poof? Insane.
I feel like those afflictions are specifically targeted at your build. I was using a deadeye and I got the zero evasion affliction. Got one shotted in next room. Can't I get the zero armor or energy shield instead?
I'm having flashbacks. This was literally the same exact problem, for all the reasons mentioned, with Magic Find in Diablo 2/3. Same conversations happening about it, same arguments for and against, same inevitable solution: Get rid of it or shuffle it into some non-gear system that everyone has access to it in the same way.
It's funny how stubborn and unwilling to learn people are... The Last Epoch is the only one really trying to invent something better, rather than relying the the same old crap... Not that they got everything right but at least they are cooking. Still, love PoE too much. Will come back when more characters are released, and some serious QoL patches added to the game. As of rn, the PoE 2, at least in the endgame, is mid at best;)
Honestly, the vast majority of things wrong in POE2 were already fixed years ago in POE1 or other ARPGs. That's why it's so frustrating. Every new ARPG game seems to just be filled with the same mistakes over and over again. They never learn from the past for whatever reason.
Not having loot filter on console feels real bad, man. I can't tell you how many divine orbs and perfect jeweller's orbs I've missed and had a party member get it instead from an area i looted and left
Rarity simply cannot be allowed to work on currency. If it just upgrades normal -> magic, rare -< uniques and such, thats totally fine, it saves you currency to roll them and you do get more uniques. But for currency, it gets completely out of control.
I've posted this elsewhere but here's my list: Things I think could help "fix" or improve the game: 1) Improve dodging further. It feels very underwhelming. 2) Give sources of phasing. GGG said in the patch notes that dodging isn't supposed to be phasing, so where are all the sources for phasing? 3) Make it so you can go into any tier of white map at any time. Instead of collecting waystones as maps, collect the precursors (improve their droprates) and allow us to juice those then apply them to towers. If we run out of precursors we can still run white maps to collect precursors but we should never straight up be unable to run maps at a decent tier. 4) Reduce the number of 1 shot slam creatures. Right now they are just far too vast in number, especially ones that can leap in from offscreen or slam at range to instant kill you from full health/defences. 5) Either remove the one death ends the instance setup AND/OR introduce a vendor that allows you to spend gold to "recover" items that were on the ground in recent deaths. That way at least if you die you can pay some gold to get some of the stuff you couldn't pick up before dying. 6) Let us destroy the runes in an item to replace them with others as our needs change. 7) Add a system in that allows us to upgrade runes. There's already the reforging bench, why the heck can't we upgrade tier 1 runes to tiers 2 and 3? Seems like a huge missed opportunity. 8) Increase monster density and reduce map sizes by about 25%. 9) Add some movement skills......there's a reason that boots without move speed increases are worth nothing....everyone wants to move faster. 10) Make ritual circles bigger to help with the getting locked into a corner/corridor situations causing death. Ritual right now with the getting pinned in is suicide combined with the slams. Also make the spawning of these more....intelligent? You shouldn't lose half of a ritual arena due to it being on the other side of a wall. Overall rituals also just feel bad for the rewards. 11) Trials....been talked about all over the place but I don't know how you fix these considering they are both two mechanics absolutely hated by a huge number of players.
Agree with most of that. Movement abilities I'm the on the fence about. I like the concept of not having them, but then they definitely should reduce map size and increase density or drops.
As a new player to the way poe works, my best character, a level 88 witch, has zero item rarity and all defensive stats, and I have yet to see a single divine orb drop. Not a single one. And I have 180 hours in poe 2 at the time of writing this. Having to have a stat just to fix the absolutely terrible drop rate should not be a thing, and if rarity is going to stay in the game, something like a pity system needs to exist. My gear has essentially stagnated because I'm not getting stuff good enough to justify swapping, however I can't properly afford the really good stuff from other players.
I was playing a strong level 92 build with 0% rarity and finding nothing. Level 92 yet literally didn't find a single greater or perfect jeweler's orb. Think I found maybe 3 or 4 raw divines. So I thought what the hell, switched to a weaker build that clears more slowly but has 300% rarity... the difference is literally mind boggling.
@@ThiagoGraunke that's a change they should make. It's not PoE1, it's a streamlined game. They already have a guy that identifies items in town, which is redundant when you're scrounging for ident scrolls at the same time
@@ericnstuff do you really want to go to town every time you want to id items? people id stuff in maps and if it sucks they throw it back on the ground
I just reached endgame, and I'm completely lost tbh. I understand the concept of maps, but that's all. I'm already running out of stones, no way to buy new ones, I'm stuck with my lvl 1 ones I got during the campaign. And all the mechanics you talked about aren't even hinted in the game, besides "Do maps one level more than before !". They should really improve the playthrough for the beginning of endgame.
@@waerhfawjerh Well, Ive played aRPGs since 99 and got 15k+ hours on PoE1 I can tell you the endgame is a VERYYY GOOD base to start building from right now, but the way it works right now is very close to unacceptable, what hurts me the most is the amazing bossfight design being locked behind dozens hours of farm, I can handle it because ive played these lil shits my whole life so my brain is probably fried Im super looking forward to their first attempts at fixing it so everyone can enjoy it a lot more
I noticed that the final boss of act 3 that becomes your ally is actually selling what it seems to be infinite supply of waystones of tier 1, 3, and 5. At least when interacted from within hideout.
@Raxxanterax, for me the major sticking point about Rarity is the effect on the ECONOMY. Everything is getting more and more expensive as endgame players get more and more currency pricing all the players not in the endgame out of trading since you only have a few Exalted Orbs to your name. I was watching that run with the trash mob, Raxx had 75% honour resist as well so the hit from the trash mob was 20,000 damage unmitigated.
he probably had the "relics function at half efficiency" affliction, and its bugged or something and setting them "to -50%" rather than reducing by 50%. most of the time, mobs dont really hurt my honor on lvl 80 trials. If I get that one though, ooooh boy. Its way worse than double. So thats my guess.
Problem is people don't use orbs for crafting and only for trading. So there's crazy inflation in addition to the fact there's ton of them entering market. Currency devalues by the minute. Rarity isn't the problem for this, the crafting system (or lack thereof) is. Or rather rarity is the problem in a world where currency doesn't get spent, much like a real economy. I think it's too strong at high level but it be better to balance it there than remove it for everyone.
Going SSF is incredibly hard because you keep bumping into ceilings where you can't find better gear, and keep grinding lower level enemies because you keep dying otherwise. And I'm not even that big into SSF but I don't want to engage with the trading system as it is now, and it seems I HAVE to in order to get better gear.
As someone who never played POE 1. I feel like the end game is built for POE 1 players only. non of the mechanics are explained, I have no idea what to do. I just reached level 15 maps and just now I start getting some of the "special items" from the maps ( like the breach items) but you need 300 of them?! i only get 5 per run how can you get 300 and I even have no idea what happens when you get 300
I feel pretty much the same. I never really played POE1, and the few times I tried, I only got to about level 40 with is nothing, still in act 3. There are so many unexplained things, including what you even need to stack when it comes to survivability, and i can't even hover on debufss to see what they are (on bosses, etc.). My character has 75% res on everything, Mind over Matter, so in total, more than 3,5k HP, and only chaos resi is about 50%, and I'm still getting obliterated by some monsters, not to mention bosses. It really does seem like they made this game for the POE1 players as I'm clearly missing some important knowledge how to take advantage of some of the features in gear, etc. Also, 300 of them? And you need to farm it every time? How? Do you do this once per month? This ware my questions when first breach splinter dropped, and I looked at the description of it. It's insane to think about farming it without some broken stormweaver spark bullshit, with I'm not interested in playing but might as well try.
At the moment it is, we are at Beta test man. The idea is that we playtest it, you literally payed to playtest the game and the intended testers are indeed poe1 players with experience. 99% of the game for everyone will be in maps, that's why the endgame in this beta is so low entry but also gets scaled so hard at higher dificulties, they literally want you to have this experince to see your feedback.
I got a breachstone when I finally got 300 splinters. I'm like now what? What do I do with this? I googled it to find out I have to use it to fight a boss. If I die, I have to collect 300 splinters again to have another go at the boss. I'm like, WTF? Seriously?
I'm really glad I'm not the only one who dislikes Magic Find (I'm really out of touch with community so I didn't know if others disliked it too or no). You put it in words perfectly, it's just plain boring stat that if you don't run you're on the losing edge, where you have to sacrifice possible defensive or offensive stat. I feel like my build lacks some defensive stat that I could easily fix if Magic Find wasn't pretty much a slot-taking must-have stat if you want your loot to feel any worth your time.
im on 300 Hours now. but i'll admit , im kinda at my end. Fighting through the Inflation.. Being forced to run bad Maps for 1-2 Hours to get to 5-6 Towers , Juice the good maps run 5-6 of them and rince and repeat . Often paths are blocked without any sense ( maps being directly next to each other , without a path.. like why? ) -> Running maps with high rarity&Quantity , T15/T16 with delirium . My gear has 230% Rarity , and im dropping nothing. No Gear , no Divine's nothing. In the last 14 Hours of just farming Breach juiced maps , i dropped 2 Divine's .
Take it easy man, we're 3 weeks into a 6-12 month beta and we know the game has major issues. There are going to be many sweeping changes to all aspects of the game before release along with many full wipes. Don't burn yourself out now, this is all for testing purposes. Give your feedback to GGG then take a break if you're getting too frustrated, come back later.
@@OisinClissmann the thing is. i would love to test out other builds. but the bare minimum for a "simple" item , are already multiple divine's . i get where you come from . but its just insane .
i think rare find stacking is very very overstated. i run around with 125-150 at all times and havent seen div in days lol - i think the concern is folks with the shield and chest that can get into the 300+ maybe the its crazy
The biggest problem with the Ultimatum rn is that door fragments drop chance is not equal, so you actually need to complete far more 10-room trials than 3, i completed 6 and got 3 sets of other 2 fragments, but the left one simply won't drop. So ofc I gave up and just bought it for like 40 ex
I feel you man. I got several duplicates myself before I realized I can buy the missing key from the currency exchange. So I did that and sold the duplicates. Then I noticed that the soul core drops sells for good currency as well. It might even be a viable money maker. I saw that one particualr soul core was selling for over 300 exalts.
For Rarity: Rarity could be an implicit to an own kind of base items that may not be able to roll specific modifiers to balance player power and would make it a real choice that comes with a cost. Excluding important modifiers like resistances for example OR make it not be able to roll the highest tiers of modifiers, which could be easily achieved if rarity would be bound to a lower range of item level. For Citadels - there is this guy "BehindEyesGaming" that made a video on Citadels and he might be onto something. His theory is: clearing corrupted towers is influencing the spawn rate of Citadels. He also had a theory on environmental hints in the towers of where to search next - but that is probably BS. Love what you are doing for the community - Have a great new year
bro the 4th ascendancy? i was doing the 3rd and then fought a scorpion boss at the end of the third floor after about an hour and half of playing and he crushed me… i’ll never go back
Make a Shrine of prayer in hideout at endgame where you can get items in a map or at bosses. to put into that shrine. To increase your magic find. and REMOVE IT FROM GEAR 100% GGG can sell skins for the Shrine of prayer. the stat still exists ingame. but you no longer have to chose a crappier dps piece of gear just because it has rarity on it
I love your videos, almost every line you speak is a nice soundbite nugget because every sentence you speak is quite profound! hope you have had a great holiday week and new year my dude!!
As a newbie I am pretty burnt out in endgame right now, mostly because of bad drops and the fucked up market prices. I am now in t8 maps and stil get very few ex. I got a divine a few days back in cruelty and exchanged it so now I have 110 ex. But any upgrade is so expensive and I neither get good drops to sell to get currency. I maybe get 5 ex an hour if im lucky. But any upgrade which would make me able to go for my chaos inoculation build costs at least 80ex and they are getting more expensive every day. Its so frustrating because the game itself makes so much fun for me but every playsession is 50% being frustrated of drops, looking on trading site, actually finding a good deal , being Ghosted by that person and than being frustrated again because most good items go for at least a divine and in 80 hours of playing I only got one lucky in cruelty. Its really exhausting tbh especially because I dont know what to do with my build now and I dont have anyone to really help me with it and I dont know what to do to get some divines so I at least had some motivation to follow trough my goals. I dont know if poe1 also was like that but it really feels like I am just miles behind with gear and currency and I will be never be on a level to actually afford the items I need :/
the problem i personally have with rarity is that it's so powerful that you can go farm a regular t5 map with tons of rarity and farm way more currency and gear than someone without rarity who is pushing the hardest content. it's nice to have alternate farming methods but the hardest content should always be the most rewarding. but with how rarity is currently you are punished for not using as much as you can. even if that means going back down to white maps to be able to survive, when regular gear you could be in high tier reds
Raxx - just wanted to say thank you for putting out this level-headed and detailed feedback. Your content is exactly what GGG needs to hear and ultimately use to make the game better for all of us “casuals”. Would love to see GGG step up for an interview with you - that would be amazing content. Appreciate all your reviews and build guides as well. Hope you have a Happy New Year and thank you again!
Campaign was top notch,I loved every single second of it , end game is quite mid imo at this point, crafting is super meeeh, almost non-existent, the mapping system with all the rarity shit going on is meeh again , breach way to op (for certain specs) and the other endgame stuff is super mediocre. At this point after blasting so much I would of preferred 6 acts instead of this endgame :D. But afterall it's EA so things can just improve from here. Anyways I`m looking forward for what GGG has in their bag for the next big patch for EA but for me after playing for quite a bitthis is not it, economy is ruined beyond any salvation and many other problems.
Overcoming a challenge to ascend is a sound idea, but stacking rooms of rng on rng is not a fair or well designed challenge that you can prepare or learn from.
I've never played PoE 2 and I barely touched the original. In general, I scarcely touch ARPGs these days. I found your channel during the D3 days and continue to watch now because you have a great way of discussing these games, both their strengths and weaknesses. Thanks for keeping me up to date on the genre and helping me decide when/if I want to try these games, keep doing the good work. Cheers!
Funny how many half arsed systems exist in poe2s rushed endgame that if Blizzard had put them in D4, every man and their dog would be spamming 'D4BAD'. But when GGG releases Poe 1.5 with a boring endgame with mistakes they've already fixed in Poe1, we get 'but it's early access'...
Exactly. It's so funny seeing people that were hyping this game up like the second coming of Jesus before it released tie themselves in knots downplaying the same issues they were constantly complaining about in D4. The endgame sucks and itemization is terrible.
I feel like people miss the point of early access... Like Baulders Gate 3 was in early access for like... 3 years.... Find all the issues early and fix along the way instead of being blindsided by shit at the actual launch of the game. That is the primary purpose of early access.
You know what problem almost no one notices? There is no natural progression in gear in the game. I came to the endgame with a rather modest gear value of about 200 ex or 2 div. And for hundreds of hours of farming maps, bosses and all the endgame mechanics, I have NEVER received an item that I would wear instead of what I have on. I have 200% rarity and kill ALL the monsters on each map. Dropping a suitable item brings much more joy than an expensive but unnecessary item. They could at least make a non-random drop from bosses and make it similar to the ritual where all your progress on maps accumulates points, but so far the only thing I have encountered is a wandering merchant with legendary items and that was only once. At the same time, it is easy to make such mechanics without harming the economy if, like in Diablo, that items linked to your character. In addition, in a situation where you get an almost good item that needs to have one characteristic changed and it will become useful to me, I cannot do this because targeted crafting is VERY expensive and there is no point in using it on items cheaper than 100 div.
I got to end game with like 3 or 4 ex worth of equipment. The best way for me advance in the game in "power" is to simply get lucky and find someone who notices im trying to buy a new piece of equipment they have listed. I run small little t1-3 maps with about 150%mf.. progression seems very dependent on trade. if they want to make it dependent on trade, fine. But then they need to look at that crazy idea they have about keeping pain involved in the trading process. Just make an auction house, or whatever. Like, im sick of messaging 10 ppl for a trade and having only 1 respond.
Im lvl 80 with a sceptre I got in NORMAL campaign. It says 'required lvl:32' I have ZERO currency in my stash because it all goes toward gambling for a new sceptre.
The reason for rarity be that strong and broken in PoE 2 is simple: There's too many devs working in PoE 2 that NEVER touched PoE 1 in their lives. I guess with so much money from tencent and in a rush to launch the EA, their hire system became so bad that the game itself lose the identity and got complete messed up. That explain why we have "towers", 1 portal system even when the game is bugged/unballanced, bad ascendancies, astronomicaly big maps with no mobility & bad visibility both in the layout and when the player uses a skill, non-existant currencies in the game like omens and "regal essences", zero currency sink to stabilize the market, non-existant citadels and so on...
You said it. Pretty much agree 110%!!! Rn Poe 2 is mid at best, outside of the campaign. The endgame needs serious cooking and insane amount of QoL patches.
@@rich1231 man, thank god this is an early access 1 year away from actual release. Guess why the game doesn't feel finished. That's because it isn't. I for one can't wait for the first really big update with new and adjusted content.
Awesome feedback, I agree with everything you pointed out. I would like to add that there needs to be more bosses in Endgame. I absolutely enjoyed all of them in the campaign. Let there be some maps that have a single tough boss. I think that would be a great solution to your issues with the towers. They just need to cook up more with different mechanics.
Im only on a3 cruel and not on maps yet. Im just taking my time. Im sure in 6 months end game will be completely different and all the complaints now will be moot.
I can't even bring myself to finish Act 3 the first time around. The game started with methodical combat and quickly devolves into the same sh*tstorm of VFX as basically every other ARPG where you don't even see what's going on really. In groups it's even worse. It's a mess of explosions and running. Completely thoughtless. It's boring.

You are SPOT ON with every single thing you said about the TOWERS. The devs for POE2 can do w.e they wanna, but they 100% need to listen to you on that one man. Towers need to be revamped completely, I also enjoy the idea of them and want them to stay in the game.
This is the first time I've played POE 2 in general and I've noticed that even in lower areas in the early game you are often overrun by hordes of monsters that push you back to the beginning of the map and then kill you.
I finally made it to maps last night. This is not even close to PoE1 endgame... It's incredibly watered down and boring, and that's despite me liking the slower pace and intentionality of combat.

1. GGG should remove rarity on gear, and buff it on maps. 2. All maps should have a boss and a checkpoint at the beginning. When you kill the boss a checkpoint in the same room activates and you can teleport back. 3. Rituals need to be 50% bigger. 4. Towers are fine. I just want to be able to repeat maps. 5. Trials should be restore 50 honour or 5%, whichever is greater. 6. Honour should be based on your level.
1. if rarity would be only on maps, then on acts finding any currency would be close to impossible. acts would become a chore to skip to enter maps - forget about crafting in acts because you won't be able afford. Nah, it is a bad idea for majority of players imho. This is just another idea for making the game POE 1 where you need to learn not to blink to just smash everything i 15 sec runs at end end end game, that only 0.5% of players gets to. imho, remove rarity or cap it. bust all currency drops so actually good rolled item is more expensive on site, so you would rather try crafting it yourself.
Something which has become very clear to me after launch of POE2: POE2 is so unique D4 isnt going anywhere. Playing POE2 makes me miss a lot of the polish in D4
For the tower we should have a “tower guardian” unique mob that you can choose to make harder by opting to fight more than one unique at once if you choose to do so for extra rewards, you would want to try and fight more than one at once for the chance to drop a special item that guides/hints you towards the closest citadel. This is great because people would rush towers, map areas more often, and are rewarded to do so. Also put the lever in the first level is great too.
I think the best solution for Rarity is for it to work exactly how it does in POE1 right now. It has no effect on currency drops. They could roll these currency bonuses into the Rare Monster modifier system. This would make it accessible for everyone, across the board, without sacrificing character power.
If only d4 was given this velvet gloves treatment you give to poe2. incredible to hear you give strong criticism in the most unassuming, meek way possible
@@zero_wing_ he's a Poe die hard fan. People are shills for Poe yet shit on d4. The sad part is I had more fun with d4 than I did with Poe because d4 had surprisingly more build variety. Lol
@@BREED. I literally don't care about that argument it carries 0 weight when I paid for both games. D4 is shit, but you can stop shilling for GGG alot of these problems were in poe1 and they didn't fix anything. So acting like early release and 1.0 will do anything is retarded to
It's funny because PoE2 and D4 have the same problems at launch. Bad maps with awful layouts and lots of backtracking. Slow gameplay with a shit tonne of running around doing nothing. Terrible loot that doesn't incentivize you to grind. 90% of skills are useless. No meaningful crafting. But when D4 came out everyone lost their minds with how awful it was, and with PoE2 everyone says it's good.
About the towers and citadels: You don't get citadels because you use T1 map. Try to make some towers with T12+ maps. I don't remember where I read it but I read the citadels are randomly spawn and the chance is bigger with more difficulty maps.
I was suprised they missed a trick with having the bosses "gate keep" the towers. Rather than just havijg them randomly swap on a map. Just have it as a short "dungeon map" then amped up bosses / rewards for the teir of map you use. After the boss a doorway takes you to the top and you click the thing and it functions like they do now.
Definitely agree with each of the problems you mentioned. Especially on trials when you lose all your energy shield and it's like -10k shield and ended up with 1k hp only and many use chaos immune node having only 1 hp 😅😅
I think rarity is interesting for two reasons: 1. It gives a reason to have a second gear set. 2. It lives up to what GGG said about increased currency to craft with in POE2 compared with POE1.
Pretty good analysis, I think. I'd like to add: Low tier maps, when you first get to them, feel *really* bad. If you're not already stacking rarity gear, they're devoid of drops, take forever to run, and you're super-punished for dying (most likely to an on-death effect). The disparity between juiced and unjuiced maps is too big, and the lower tier maps just suck.
My opinion on the Rarity issue is to not have it include any currencies into it's loot table (or whatever ya wanna call it) and make it only be able to increase the odds of dropping stuff like higher tier rares and uniques. That's the best option I could think of that would change rarity but still make it viable for farming specific pieces of gear.
I like that idea better than just completely removing it. I find it's a balance game between all the stats on gear. From resists to Rarity, leech or mana., you have to find your characters balance I don't get those complaining because they "Have" to run Rarity. No they don't. You don't "have" to run any stat but the trade off might mean dying more, killing slower or getting less rare loot.
I'm not enamored by the skills themselves, or how the skills are tied to a single weapon instead of a few like in PoE1. The skill design philosophy feels at odds with the enemies, and at odds with the passive tree. And most of the skills are somewhat worthless.
Just had a trial failure bc an enemy glitched through the floor on an escape trial next to the crystal I was supposed to click and therefore ruined my trial. Good times.
Had a similar experience while playing with a controller. I had to unbind my attack skill from my interact button/slot… It gimps my layout. But it’s a work around for this one specific situation.
What do we think about rarity being exclusively on runes and at smaller percentages? Make them quite rare and make socketed runes removable, then cut out rarity fixes on gear entirely. Just quick shift from farming runes to power runes and vice versa
The punishment to reward ratio in Trials is an actual joke. All your defenses are removed, enemies do 30% more damage, and your taxes increase by $5000 IRL but you get 50 honor and a $5 coupon at Subway. Like BRO WHAT?!
This dude. Too often I’m ranting to myself out loud like someone’s listening .
Yea I stopped playing this trash.
Aw isnt this the arpg of the generation?
don't forget the tedious 40m runback of trying to avoid those instalose afflictions and time wasting gauntlets for your next attempt only for the last boss randomly apply one poison that removes all your honor even if it doesn't come close to killing you lol.
This is the best argument against rarity being on gear right here
I’ve been saying that all the time in the past week or so but some elites in the game insisted that I was baiting… lol
Well put
"You need life and resistances no matter what". So it's in the same way mandatory as rarity is now. Think about that.
I would say that the Honor Bar in the trial should disappear once you make it to the boss. The fight against the boss should just be a fight to the death.
You want a dishonourable fight
that's not a bad idea. I would say though it would be very easy to make it to boss room with honour imo, so maybe buff each room 🤷
@@jammuu terrible idea. ascendency points shouldn't be free
My favorite endgame activity: doing tier 15 waystone maps and picking up tier 1 waystones, no better feeling! Makes me want to keep playing!
same on me :D i thing big number maps should be better drop no matter on rarity find
even worse.. remember the first time you ge to endgame and you need to run 20 tier 1 to get your first t2 drop. Then.. when you run that tier 2.. nothign drops and you back to t1.
Fix atlas tree, run better maps (stack breach/delirium/etc), use increase waystone quantity/rarity in towers, idk I sustain 15s pretty easily even when i'm not doing all of this combined.
@@ThatGuy-fs4og You have not got the point...
Right!
I agree with you SO MUCH
It only took me 2 level 51 runs to get over 50 honor resistance relics: just pick up all relics, key chests with relics and buy relivs at the end of trial.
You clearly didn't have honour resist relics bc trials 1-3 are completely free if you do
@@AcrossTheSea12 1 and 2 area very achievable, 3rd trial isnt free even with 75% honour resistance due to a large amount of RNG you encounter on all 3 floors which may lead to all kinds of situations making you unable to retain your honour + your build matters too...
I find being kicked out of a map after a no reaction death is very frustrating.
Agreed. I'll be chugging through a map practically falling asleep and be one-shot by some explosion at my feet that surfaced from god knows where. @@MocciajrWhat university should a casual gamerad apply to so I can learn how this works? 😂
POE University
My two cents:
1- Rarity: I just sucks the way it is now, because basically just one class can do everything and have rarity, which is Stormweaver. Try to do the same with Warrior, GL. Rarity should be just ripped off, or added as passive from reward after killing whatever thing.
2 - maps: waystone drop ranges: Drop a T5 whilst doing T15 is such a frustrating thing, drop ranges should be -2 +2
5 - ascendancy: gauntlets are most horrible things ever.
Yea the game just isn't fun at all sadly.
Git gud bro, stop crying
towers should be a fun challenge where you test yourself to see how many floors you can ascend, then based on how many floors you complete, the tower will give you sight and irradiate that many surrounding areas afterward. if you can make it to the top of the tower (level 10) there will be a boss waiting for you. it's an elevator ride in a maze that is constantly shifting.
great idea
Yep, good idea!
Oh that's actually cool!!!!
Wow I love this idea
Most of my deaths are in the tower maps walking towards a room where I can't see what's in it
I startwd doing tower at tier 8 max to avoid this shit. Its layout is so bad for minion based builds
Endgame is pissing me off, because I'm zooming on t15 and get one shot due some bullshit after death explosions from mobs
The on death effects are miserable. Nobody likes that mechanic, it just slows you down for no real reason. You have to run far away and stand still for like 5 seconds after killing any rare enemy. Takes the fun out of seeing something cool drop.
The ascendancies should be just part of the character progression and a fun experience, not something that's so hard people skip it.
I agree I gave up on it I don't like things in games where I'm not able to beat it strictly because of a time limit.
Adding more rarity to the atlas passives and removing it from gear would be the most sensible option imo
Just add rarity to waystones. Don't fix what's not broken.
Felt good at first but then it becomes “I have to spend time looking at every piece of gear instead of playing”
Having played D4 a good bit, this feels better.
@@amrcombsMaking your build weaker for rarity does not feel fun imo.

Here is the list you will have once game releases:
1) Why is there no ingame loot filter that you can customize build into the game?

They argue on behalf of the devs and justify why so and so is not in the game, or why its the way it is. Like where are the stash tab improvements?

Agreed, also the facility to choose ssf and hc on console should have been there from day 1
I also like the non-scrollable map on consoles. To see the layout of the map i have to move the character. Awesome
Rarity simply cannot be allowed to work on currency.
If it just upgrades normal -> magic, rare -< uniques and such, thats totally fine, it saves you currency to roll them and you do get more uniques.
But for currency, it gets completely out of control.
The damage is already done. The economy is out of control. Some players have hundreds of Divs

@@uniquascaper7052 Your character is a worthless EA character. It'll never make it to full release.
I've posted this elsewhere but here's my list:
Things I think could help "fix" or improve the game:
1) Improve dodging further.

Hell, we PoE players hate PoE2 endgame as well
At the moment it is, we are at Beta test man.
I feel like my build lacks some defensive stat that I could easily fix if Magic Find wasn't pretty much a slot-taking must-have stat if you want your loot to feel any worth your time.
absolutely agree with everything said here, hope the devs see this vid
im on 300 Hours now. but i'll admit , im kinda at my end.
Good, you need to touch some grass instead. You spending 300 hours shows it. Get some help. Your opinion doesn't matter.

I kinda love seeing this game finally getting critiqued it really isn’t a fun game bottom line
If you arent having fun then stop playing and comeback in future if you choose to. There's so many great games out there
For Rarity: Rarity could be an implicit to an own kind of base items that may not be able to roll specific modifiers to balance player power and would make it a real choice that comes with a cost.

I completely agree! If it wasn’t for Raxx I would have just F4’d and gone back to POE1 or start Indiana Jones. 😊
Got so bad I spent 35 exalts on a carry for the 4th set of trial points
Oh wow, 2 maps worth of delirium infused waystones...
35ex for 4th ascend? thats pretty cheap.
Overcoming a challenge to ascend is a sound idea, but stacking rooms of rng on rng is not a fair or well designed challenge that you can prepare or learn from.

PoE 2 on its current state is WAY better than D4. It's not even close.
@@Knights_of_the_NineCampaign wise, sure. Bossing, most definitely. Everything else for poe2 is shit atm.
It says 'required lvl:32'
I have ZERO currency in my stash because it all goes toward gambling for a new sceptre.
This is true. It seems like the only way to get good gear is through trading. It never drops, and crafting is almost non-existent.

About the towers and citadels: You don't get citadels because you use T1 map. Try to make some towers with T12+ maps. I don't remember where I read it but I read the citadels are randomly spawn and the chance is bigger with more difficulty maps.
Rarity on item drops should be reward for special maps or something like that, just complete it and you can add rarity % on ANY gear.
Hey Raxx, could you do a video on how to maximize waystone drops. And which waystones to use for which location?
Why don't you use the rarity for farming, and the stat gear without it for DMG / power?
Pretty good analysis, I think. I'd like to add: Low tier maps, when you first get to them, feel *really* bad. If you're not already stacking rarity gear, they're devoid of drops, take forever to run, and you're super-punished for dying (most likely to an on-death effect). The disparity between juiced and unjuiced maps is too big, and the lower tier maps just suck.
I think a boss gauntlet would be a ton of fun for ascending.
From resists to Rarity, leech or mana., you have to find your characters balance
I don't get those complaining because they "Have" to run Rarity.
Thanks for speaking up! Even though i dont agree with everything i hope your feedback is heard
What do we think about rarity being exclusively on runes and at smaller percentages? Make them quite rare and make socketed runes removable, then cut out rarity fixes on gear entirely. Just quick shift from farming runes to power runes and vice versa
