Is there a way to convert a window trim into a window family? I already modeled a window as wall hosted generic model but its not really usefull when aplying changes to a big buiding
I'm currently using Archicad, and one thing it's very good at is detail. Windows/Doors have tons of parameters and I really would like to see Revit bring this kind of detail. Even in plan view the default revit families are very poorly represented. Parameters like sil, casing and sunshades are non existent. I guess one has to look for custom familes to have this kind of flexibility.
I was using archicad until last year, seeing as most folks around me design with Revit. I think the power of Revit lies in your ability to go further to create your own families like this.

Hello, when I created a similar family i do not see the "arrows" once added to the project file to adjust the window trim. I have to use the properties drop down to adjust the width and height. Anyone else have a similiar issue and know the solution?

if i creat wall sweep on wall, does window frame will overlap with wall sweep,? can make both joined?
What is the benefit of creating a template if you already use your own standard customized projectfile when starting a new project?

Did u lock the dimension 160 that he had between reference plane of top trim and top reference plane of the window?
