  • After 2 years of sitting in pieces this old farm truck gets a paint job! In this video I reassemble the fenders, headlights, and get everything hooked back up. The truck is almost complete!

That's awesome you waiting for your dad to share the first test drive. My dad passed away 5 years ago. I am now restoring a 53 dodge m37 and as I was working on it today I was thinking how much dad would love this old truck and enjoy riding in it with me .

Yes I am sure he's watching the whole thing from above and is very proud! I never got to meet my Grandpa before he passed but when using some of his old tools I know it makes him part of the process too

Powerwagons looking fantastic! As for wiring,I would 100% recommend getting a power cutoff switch. They're not very expensive and make it super easy to disconnect power from the entire vehicle.

Yes! I bought one a year or so ago that had a removable switch for security but I don't know where it went. I will definitely get another one good idea

Looking Good Scott. Your getting there. First pull on headlight switch is cowl lights, then all Then way out is headlamps. If you want your cowl lights on with headlamps make a Jumper wire between taillights and cowl lights, providing it's a true headlamp switch.

Ahh. I was thinking I could do pull out the way out and you get the cowl lights.

Hahaha. Yeah the green turned out perfect. It looks more milky in the sunlight and dark at night.

I have to tell you how impressive this restoration is! I too built a power wagon in my garage. Never did anything like it before either. Took me 13 years lol. You have my highest respect. Great job. I can tell you this. I love driving them. You will enjoy it for years. Good luck. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to more progress

Nice build. At a latter stage you could put a bigger fuel tank in.

Looks good , BUT , you should have sanded down inside the cab and then primed the inside of the cab and painted the inside of the cab all green , and put some sound Denning on the floor and put old fashioned black carpet , other than that it looks good 👍 , I want one .

Thanks! Yeah I considered painting the inside but really wanted to keep it 100% original (as much as I could)
