Make a lid for it and it will heat up faster. Awesome job man! Good work!
I have been inspired
What if the tree keep growing ? The house won’t falls”?
Definitely something to consider believe I left enough room for tree growth (within the next 5-10 years
How's the ride with them? Does the truck ride better?
Yes having smaller wheels is definitely better
Nolan’s Ark 😂
Remember...this honda will require a FULL charge battery....among the other needs.....mine is in Talbot INDIANA....come see mine
bad ass
This is a hobby we are trying to keep in the history books!
I have a 37 and 1921 touring car, and a 1948 Coupe 218.7 (Fluid Drive! Thanks for the wonderful tutorial documentary!
Very cool guys! Awesome to see young men just going for it. I do however have some major major concerns about the chemicals being used to stain the wood and how that interacts with hot water. Stains of this nature should not be absorbed into the body. I believe the hot water will cause those stains to absorb into the body at higher rates and much faster. Just be careful. I would have personally gone with the some kind of plastic liner sandwiched between unstained Cedar.
Agreed. It's a treehouse now so now more concerns. When I make another one I'm going to use a liner
Would’ve been nice if you cleaned the boat with pressure water and repaint it. That’s a nice boat!
I'm a patina man myself but it definitely would clean it up
great boat and build man . restoring it with plywood wont last that long tho
Yeah I could have done one of the pour in transoms but what else would I of used for deck?
@@DIYSCOTT i commented before i saw you coating it with epoxy 😅 . But i think aluminum or fiberglass transom is much better. Overall the build turned out beautiful.
You can add cedar pickets on the outside if you really want some cedar and add a liner or tiles on the inside.
Yes something waterproof like a liner would have been very helpful
Thank you for sharing your restoration journey. I'm restoring a 1984 Grumman 5.0 Meter and this was very inspiring.
Creo que lo más fácil para calentarla es llevar el horno de fuego dentro del jacuzzi, busca en internet “tinajas calientes chile”

Really great job. You can put a tarp in it! Thanks for sharing. Keep up the great work!
Yeah I'm gonna make another soon with a liner

I’ve been there done that with leaks. Use pond shield. Flex seal is a horrible. You can also use the clear pond shield and use play sand as an aggregate. Meaning before it dries spread the sand lightly on the bottom to prevent a slick surface. That flex seal will peal on you over time. Pond shield is an epoxy barrier.
@@Mark-eb2vt if I do it again I definitely want to just some sort of liner
@@DIYSCOTT liners are good too but one puncture and it’s over. But definitely a good option too pond liners can be cheap and will definitely hold the water.
this is total jank, but if it works, it works
@@bww33 thank you sir
I have to say Scott. I love your tinacity, What are you doing four years later? Are you still at these repairs?
@@SunitaSingh-u2m working on a Ford Bronco now!
Your perchase is perfect ...
You may want to add some expending foam under the concrete you water blasted to prevent cracking or breaking. I don’t think that was a very small hole. If you use a pressure washer it can be tighter/faster.
Thanks for the video
This came out very nice, what color is the stain you are using
@@discovermotivation762 Penofin IPE
Hi Scott, is the wood hot tub still working? I'm curious about its lifespan...
It’s a treehouse now. I let it dry out (empty) over a summer and that caused more leaks than I wanted to keep patching
What size are the Raptor tires ??
I believe 35
Beautiful truck! G.H
@@rhemeon thanks!
that must be a newer cab the gauges are not 1951 but still nice.. also switch over to 12 volts but use the 6 volt starter it will improve your cranking speed dramatically and last a long long time....
@@drewclarke5920 I like the 6 volts I’m trying to keep this truck 100% original as it would’ve came. I believe they switched the gauges in 1951: “Starting in 1951 Dodge changed to a different set of gauges, and moved the gauge cluster to the middle of the dash. The 1951 (after the first 500 or so) to 1954 Power-Wagons used gauges with a Bluish Gray background, and chrome bezels. The AMPS gauge reads 50 0 50 and the HEAT gauge was still mechanical.” Seems like a good resource: www.t137.com/registry/help/gauges/gauges.htm
@@DIYSCOTT sounds good l stand corrected but unless you only drive it in warm weather you will wish you had the 12volts on that 6 volt starter years of experience with my '56 Fargo w300m....6 volts is hopeless in cold weather...
@@drewclarke5920 Yeah it definitely takes a bit to get it started up even in warmer weather. 12v is good to keep in mind if I ever bring it somewhere colder
Yes this is killer
Someone should have stayed
@@SchemeTintFocus there were several groups of people impatiently awaiting our safe return on the beach otherwise I would’ve considered it
What size were the original size wheels?

what size tire

Yeah needs to be in the bottom
This F150 Raptor owner approves! Looks great!
Not having a go but about a 1/4 of the water leaked out before it was even warmed up

Luke warm and obviously still leaking…..
Do not run an outboard without water hook up impeller damage can occur in 15 seconds.
instead of the jerry can. Put an old car radiator above the fire. It will take a lot more heat in to the water,
@@JustinvEmst my only concern for that would be weird stuff in the radiators leaching into the water and if it wasn’t 100% flushed, you definitely don’t want to be bathing with antifreeze remnants
@@JustinvEmst not that a jerrycan and putting your water in it is any more safe, probably in terms chemicals, leaching
@@DIYSCOTT i understand .. maybe you can make it with an extra loop and a heat Exchanger between the both loops.
When you build it put insulation so it holds the heat the pink foam boards get them and then put a rubber swimming pool liners over frame and then the boards then the water should hold and you need to make it bigger so that you have full benches and also another exit area where there are steps up and safety rails to lead to a deck as bylaws require a fence around all pools outdoors same with the hottubs so the local kids cant get in and drown so you have to have it installed lower in ground when you get your own places and then have a set of stairs up to a deck area then put safety rails and fence that has to be 3 inches so that kids cant fall or climb in between and so that no animal or child can get their arms or head through the rails as they try to crawl through the bylaws in your local area check make sure fence requirements if you do not follow it and someone complains then bylaw can make you tear it down if there is no fence around your whole area there seems to have fence but make sure a locking door so no unsupervised child gets near cause there are too many small little ones that are drawn to pools in summer so be safe if you have little siblings around ok.
@@kristakaufman-y6j yes fully area. Only thing in question is if I should have the wood in contact with the water (with the pool liner behind the wood) or if I should just make the pool liner the surface
Pipes to small
Also should have drylocked ur wood, and all stone.
@@allnaturalhomesteaders IPE is extremely rot resistant
Gotta love when the average person trys to be a stome mason. You're stone and sand is backwards. The sand goes against the soil, your stone goes on top of that, then rebar, then concentrate, like u said, u didn't know what u we're getting into. But you wouldn't have needed those wood pieces, if done peoperly. Ur concrete will eventually break apart. U didn't seal it either. Smh. Ugh. I hope people don't follow ur instructions. Tell me is ur concentrate busting up yet?
@@allnaturalhomesteaders still holding strong… agree the sand and gravel were not installed in the typical manner - tile still needs to be sealed also. This is not a DIY project you need someone to help you and I didn’t have anyone
