"If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming."

Great summary. Most descriptions forget the scholarly side of the ENFJ.

This so far is the best description of an ENFJ, when functioning well. Indeed, to serve the world, we search for knowledge that we can practice, to improve the world. So we tend to have more books around, that we actually studied. The best of them we keep as treasures. Because we are so versatile, it might take us a while to find which vocation makes us complete. It is not unusual for us to go through several, then finally combine many of those qualities in one (or two, if you count our always present voluntary work). We keep developing ourselves to make an even better change in the world, for we take this way of speech seriously, that says 'BE the change you want to see'. So we don't mind to do the less-interesting things as well (such as cleaning the environment) to lead by example. When our ability to influence others for the better is highly frustrated, like with a chronic disease, we search for other options to still contribute. When even those fall away over a prolonged period of time, we eventually become prone to feelings of depression, since the deepest part of our being stays undernourished. We give and give and give and give. Of our time, our resources, our money and our appreciation/encouragement. It takes us a while to figure out how to protect ourselves from those that devour us, but never show improvement of knowing us. We don't mind being eaten alive, as long as it doesn't produce any shit! We are genuinely hurt when abused, always check what we could have done better, but usually get up after falling, trying out a different way. For we HAVE to make a positive difference in the world. What else are we on the planet for?

My INTP friend called me "smooth manipulator" because I pulled her into some social event that she said she hated it and made her follow what I wanted after some disagreement but still successfully lol

I’m an ENFJ but my self esteem is at such a low point right now that I’m having trouble keeping up with my abnormally high idealism and goals. 😓

I can relate to a lot of the things said in this video. I think it's also important for people not to put themselves in a box (like with Zodiac signs lol). Be who you are, and don't try to conform to what a personality test says you are.

Overall a great recap! Very validating, which is something we love! BUT were any other ENFJs distracted by the fact that our ENFJ in the video is female, but the narrator refers to ENFJ with he/him pronouns? I couldn’t stop wondering if the narrator knew this didn’t match the context of the video, or if he might have some prejudices 😂

As an INTP, I think ENFJs are the nicest and I literally need an ENFJ in my life but I also think they are the most manipulative.

This video actually felt like a personal attack, I feel satisfied now, that I can share this video with my friends, in hopes of them understanding my behaviour better. Thank you for this masterpiece.

I am ESFP/enfp(the test Said i borderline intuition and sensor. I scored sensor with 1% more than intuition) anyway i am painfully shy and insecure but definitely an extrovert. A friend is probably an ENFJ and she literally has friends from all circles:popular/nerds/middle everything
