    Thanks for such a detailed explanatory video. Can I and wife purchase a flat on 1st Dec24 and adjust our individual current and next financial year LTCG (within 30th Nov25) against this property under 54F as long as the total sale consideration is less than the house cost? Please note that a home loan will also be taken.

    Which date ia considered for 1 year prior and 2 years later registration or possession date ?

      Law says registration date, in exceptional cases possession date can also be considered..

    Will Sec54F be applicable in below case :
    New Flat is registered in CY but payments were being made during past 2-3years in installments as per construction plan of Society. Now if another property is sold within CY, will Sec54F benefit be applicable.

      Last 2/3 years payment will be difficult to adjust.. need to see case closely..

    Let's say I buy a under-construction appartment today and take a loan on it. I will get possession of the property by say mar 2027. I sell my other residential property in say dec 2027 and use that money to repay my loan on the 1st property ? Can I avoid capital gains on this sale?

    I have purchased an under construction property (RERA possession 2029) after selling my stocks and mutual funds. Can i claim TDS on my capital gains under section 54F for the same? Thanks in advance.

      TDS can be claimed against any income.

    If I am building a house does purchase and building cost both are completely used for tax exemption… If yes then as building a house involve a lot of cash transction to labour.. How is that accounted?

      For cash expenses you need to keep record and prepare some documents
      Don’t understand what do you mean by Purchase and Building Cost
