I have had to go through that same learning curve of thinking I'm a failure to knowing I'm not. It's just another learning experience. Do you know what I mean when I say, "Abandon your perfectionism, but not all of it?" We need to loosen up and have fun. The perfectionism part of us keeps us determined to keep trying different ways till it works and our hearts sing. I like to call it experimenting. It seems to let me off the hook from wanting to put on the sack cloth and ashes, figuratively speaking, if you know what I mean.
Your rice papers are FABULOUS! I’m already obsessed with Ancient Song and I haven’t even seen it in person. Amazing job of translating music to art. They all represent music so well. ❤Your talent is insane!
It’s actually great to see that you experience disasters and to watch how you restore them!! It’s always good to just think about them as yet another layer!🤪

I was struggling with my art but I found you and several other artists who have help me move forward with my work, make changes in how I think and view my work. I will switch gears and do some mix medial/ collage/ and water colour painting.
