@@DemonDontPlay As far as I'm aware, Sharon Carter has never been a criminal mastermind prior to the MCU and is pretty much always a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent (unless said organization doesn't exist for whatever reason) within the various comicsverses. MatPat just got lucky.

To be fair, that had to happen that way. You can't tell the story of Bucky without first telling the story of Steve. The Winter Soldier was created to be Hydra's answer to Captain America, and Bucky wouldn't have been in the situation to become the Winter Soldier if he hadn't followed Steve into battle. Steve is an integral part of Bucky's origin story, but until he became the Winter Soldier he really was just Captain America's best friend and sidekick. I mean yes that is kinda eerie but the context was more like Red Skull implied that since he ruled the world there would be no flags/countries left, just Skull
I mean he is reincarnated as how I like to call “the keeper”. He knew what he did in his previous life so most likely skull coming back is a possibility?
@@DichterDenkerChaoten I was actually referencing the Muppet character “Sam the American Eagle”. Thanks for telling me about this though, he actually looks like a cool character, I hope they bring him into the MCU.
In Buckys therapy sessions, the picture on the wall is like a forest in spring. This resembles that he is no longer the winter soldier, and is arriving into spring. Yes I didn't think of that I got it of some TH-cam guy
I'm coming back to this theory after the last episode and MATPAT DID IT AGAIN. He did the End game theory thing where his least supported theory ENDED UP BEING CANON.
@@kdj3108 On his date, he said he had a sister, and then corrected himself and said he had four. I suspect he said it that way because only one is alive. Edit: I checked, he didn't say he had four, he said F4! I misheard! But he did not say his sister was dead, actually.
Spoilers John is defiantly gonna be a dark avenger. Not only did he take the super soldier serum, but he went crazy after Battlestar’s death and killed a guy in front of a giant crowd. Can’t wait to see episode 5.
From the newest episode, Walker honestly seems like he’s doing what he sees as the best. He’s definitely not a villain and they’d be making a mistake if they turned him into one. I’m hoping he willingly gives up the mantle and settles into the US Agent role.
I have a feeling he’s gonna figure it out pretty quickly though. The way Bucky looks at the picture of his son and the way the old guy looks at him looking at the picture, I think he’s going to put two and two together. Or maybe he won’t know he killed him but he’ll figure out he at least knew his son
So far: >Walker is a villain. Everyone knew that since he was revealed, but yeah. >the flagsmashers are definitely not being manipulated, they’re just a misguided group who think the only way to fix the problems is with violence. >the flagsmashers are definitely real >Sharon Carter being a villain... we’ll get back to you on that one.
Bro episode 3, Sharon is giving me some bad vibes. She has probably sold out in her time away but knows she can't go back because she will be caught or she doesn't want to leave her position of power and influence that she has now. And what if she is connected to the secret super soldier serum or maybe has already taken it. That would be crazy. I definitely see that as a possibility moving forward
Like enslaving thousands of people in a state of perpetual torture and getting celebrated for letting them go and getting no punishment whatsoever.. Just a reminder that Wanda is a villain and deserves to be treated as such.
I've waited so long to watch this since I didn't want any spoilers or preconception and I'm so astonished that he guessed sharon was the villain. Like how? This is why I love film theory
What about the Thunderbolts? I heard there were some rumors Ross was going to show up in multiple stuff? Then again, I guess the Thunderbolts could be made composite characters with the Dark Avengers... Edit: Just finished the video. Looks like Matt already beat me to the Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers punch.
@Miguel Messina Why? The Darkhold and the prophecy that Wanda might destroy the world fit more with Chthon than Mephisto. Especially since Chthon wrote the Darkhold in the first place!
@Miguel Messina That's why I said they could be made into composite characters. Ross, whether or not he becomes Red Hulk, would officially call the team the Thunderbolts, but they would be nicknamed the Dark Avengers by the good guys for being villains, former or otherwise.
THEORY: secret invasion isn't happening in the movies. It's happening in the shows. This leads to the dark avengers being the issue for the next phase, bringing out the young avengers. The children of the older ones. BOOM! 20 more years of content, aging up for new generation of fans. But that's just a theory, a marvel theory! Aaaand Avengers, Assemble.
Well Secret Invasion is actually happening within the next three years and its a Disney+ show sorry to disappoint you if ye didn't know. Check out the Disney Investors meeting Marvel put out for more information.
0:38-0:42 was the best thing I've ever seen come out of game theory. The falcon punch and falcon kick sounds are heavily underused in anything nowadays
I feel like the big twist here might be that the flag smashers actually turn out to be the good guys, and that everything that they do was in the pursuit of stopping the US government from creating an Avengers team that's completely loyal to them and will follow all their orders
So, the episode dropped and the Falg Smashers are running from "the Power Broker"... Close enough for now. And it was nice to see Patriot and his granddad make an appearance
@@toussaintgervais8285 Lol fair enough, but my point still stands. Was just disappointed that Wandavision didn't take chances, but this show actually did
We went from Wandavision theory being mostly wrong with some things that ended up being true to TFATWS theory being pretty much spot on for half the things stated (USAgent, Sharon the Power Broker, Sam ending up siding with the Flag Smasher ideologies, etc.) Main wrong one was Zemo but I'm glad because we did get the 1 hour loop of Zemo dancing.
When I saw the new Captain America, the first instinct I had was that the new cap is actually the same person as the super strength guy with flag smashers.
I was personally thinking Skrull because THAT did happen in Marvel and even those who watch the animated series remember the Skrull invasion arc. It would be an epic twist if the Skrulls were indeed the bad guys all along, and they were playing the victim card in order to get an unstable Kree super soldier on their side.
(maybe minor spoilers?) They've shown some stunt footage featuring John Walker beating up some unidentified foes on a roof, and his attacks are pretty brutal. We're talking beating a man over and over with the shield... So while he may not be the big bad, he's probably not gonna be a hero, either.
4 episodes in and it looks like the first and last theories might bare some fruit, Sarah has been incredibly suspicious and the Flag Smashers are sympathetic and misguided, and don't appear to be the main villians
If he has Captain America-like super abilities, I'm calling it that he's the leader of the Flag-Smashers in a classic 'playing both sides of the conflict' story plot.
I think he’s just gonna be incompetent, and sams going to be warning him of stuff with the flag smashers, but he’ll just brush it off saying something like “I bet you just want to be captain america now that I’m him.” Idk that’s my theory

Now that Disney owns the Marvel MCU, Falcon could have combined the Captain America imagery with the bird suit to become “Sam: The All American Eagle”

Why? The Darkhold and the prophecy that Wanda might destroy the world fit more with Chthon than Mephisto. Especially since Chthon wrote the Darkhold in the first place!

That's why I said they could be made into composite characters. Ross, whether or not he becomes Red Hulk, would officially call the team the Thunderbolts, but they would be nicknamed the Dark Avengers by the good guys for being villains, former or otherwise.

When I saw the new Captain America, the first instinct I had was that the new cap is actually the same person as the super strength guy with flag smashers.
If they weren't so different, I'd keep it in mind for the rest of the show.
That fits with the "Flag smashers are an inside job" theory, that Walker is secretly his own "nemesis" for clout.
