I have epilepsy. And though my meds control my seizures quite decently, I still have one every now and then. The worst part is that I bite my tongue. Badly. As it, if you saw my tongue, you'd be able to see the scars. But one time, I was offered medical cannabis in the form of a lozenge. And let me just say, I can't support the idea of medical cannabis enough. The pain was gone. Not subdued or lessened. Gone. Cannabis was able to do what not even Vicodin could do (and yes, I've taken Vicodin as a pain reliever before).
I love how my world history teacher started having us read “6 Glasses” which talks about drinks and their connection to history. This video could not have come at a better time. Edit: She also added it to one of the assignments to watch.
It is funny how throughout history weird sometimes often trivial things in a culture can play a big part in the development of that country, I remember hearing that in China they were an advanced civilisation but one thing that held them back for a long time was that they drank tea. Because they drank tea, they only used tea cups and not glasses, and the process of making glass was what led to such amazing things such as telescopes and glasses so that scientists and intellectuals had an extra 10-20 years of productivity, and even more was that in medical science beakers and flasks were made that don't react to the substances because glass is chemically neutral. So because of one cultural thing in China, the invention of the tea cup they had no reason to invent glass.

Here's a theory: In the anime food wars there is a character named Sarge that shows up around halfway season 5. She cooks with a chainsaw. She uses a special chainsaw to implant spices in food in a way that is otherwise impossible.
