I have read Leo Tolstoy's longer novel so it is nice to know there are some good short stories of his. But I agree that sometimes collections can be a bit of a mixed experience on the whole. I have been curious about the ben miller series for a while but I think I am going to skip over that one in the end if it is just okay. I loved I am malala back when I read it several years ago and agree on that being one that everyone should read. So important. I have a good girl's guide to murder waiting for me on my shelf and I do like a good YA thriller and it sounds like that could be a great one for that. I have nightbloom on my shelf waiting for me so I am glad to know it is such a good one because as you said, I haven't heard too many people talking about it. Pachinko is one I have read and I liked it but you definitely loved it even more than I did ^.^

Good luck with your train journey. I said a Terrible Kindness would break, but please, it is one of your 5* this month I have just ordered The Girl at the window. I put soldier sailor to one side for a while. I think my mood just can not handle it at the moment. 🙋‍♀️
