@@cassandralynnreads no ur true i also read it in high school so I've got that unhealthy bias attachment to it 🙏🏻 I've been better about getting rid of some of my books and manga I know I won't read so I feel that
I liked The Wager because I read a lot of nonfiction and was trying to catch up in the history category for the Goodreads awards, but I would strongly recommend listening to the audiobook instead! The narrator was really good bringing all of the historical figures to life, although I did fall down a terrible Wikipedia rabbit hole afterwards...
Ohh I read Sky in the Deep the year it came out and found it really good- but then I never read the sequel. I’m not sure whether I’ll reread the first in order to read the second or not but I can say with certainty that it’s worth your time to maybe get it from the library or listen to on audio. At least in my opinion. I really enjoy Adrienne young’s writing 😊 I recommend listening to Sadie on audio. That audiobook is to this day one of the best in terms of production I’ve ever listened to- it’s won a ton of awards for the audiobook as well- and rightly so. I don’t even think it would hit the same reading it physically honestly
I tried Fable & Namesake by her and it just wasn't for me, other authors I'd rather give a try at this point. I might give the audiobook a try for Sadie though, you've def hyped it up haha
i love Sadie so much, so if you ever do consider picking it up, I recommend listening to the audiobook! it has a full cast kind of vibe and there's a podcast in the book with interviews and they made it sound like you're actually listening to recordings of the interviews. it's a really great mystery novel i was really excited for children of blood and bone when it came out in 2018, and i finally read it a couple of years ago and really didn't like it. so disappointing i really loved a curse so dark and lonely but the second book was SO disappointing!! the characters totally changed for the worse and made no sense with the first book and it was incredibly dull-i had to switch to the audiobooks for them. i havent been able to bring myself to read the final book yet which is so sad because i own them all and they are stunning
Love your videos... I wish I could force myself to unhaul! I'm so guilty of "It's got a pretty cover so I'll keep it" knowing that I'll never read something! Unfortunately I'm turning into a Manga collector... Why did I fall down that rabbit hole?
Maybe this is just me but I honestly feel like the internet has created too much pressure around needing a "good" reason to unhaul books instead of reading them. Simply wanting to get rid of them, not wanting to own them anymore should be enough of a reason. Reading should be fun and if you keep staring at books on your shelf that make you feel bad about yourself because you haven't read them yet but have no intention of reading either, get rid of them. Yes, it's sad if new books in pristine condition get unhauled unread but wouldn't it be sadder if they just kept collecting dust instead of getting a new chance at finding someone who will read them and love them? In that sense, unhauling is always a bit of justice for the books too 😌
Hi Cass, I'm high school librarian in UK looking all the time to add teen fiction books for the students. So if you want to send some across, that would be amazing!!! Tom x
Unhaul = more room for new books🙌🏻😸 I bought "A study in drowning" today 😂 and am now 150 pgs deep into it. Absolutely agree that it's not a dark academia, but it's 100% "Piranesi" vibes, and I looooove it🌊
I read Children of Blood and Bone this month. I had the book since Covid 😇 and was thinking of unhauling it IF I did not read it this year! 😵Which I did and I really enjoyed it!!! 🤩 But I 100% relate to have it on my shelves and not reading it! I was AFRAID of it at this point! 🫠
Glad you enjoyed it! I definitely was overwhelmed by the amount of books & length of time so many have been on my shelf. I'm glad you had the strength I did not haha 😂😂
if you all want any of the books in the video, please take them off my hands!! here's my pango 🫶 pangobooks.com/bookstore/cassandralynn3702
the shorter hair debut😩 stunning bestie🫢🫢🩷
hehe 💕 thanks parabatai
I totally read this in Katie’s voice lol with that cute little lilt she has and the way she ends almost every sentence on a little laugh and smile lol
Unhauls are great to clear out things you aren't interested in anymore, its always satisfying to have your collection be what you are excited about
so true! it's nice to have extra space & not book bogging me down haha
I love watching book unhauls so much, idk why. I think they're my favourite type of content, even more fun than hauls for me
I was already considering unhauling some books but your video convinced me to just go for it
glad you enjoyed!!
NO
NOT THE RAVEN CYCLE
my heart literally just shattered into 10 billion pieces
I wish I could've finished it, but it's been 6 years of saying I was going to 😂😂

I’ve been slowly doing this and trying to be more picky with book buying because I have no more room on my shelves and money 😅
lack of room & money is such a mood 😂
I kept looking at your tattoos during the video, they are so cool😍🫣
Tattoo tour..?!?👀
Oh thank you! 🫶
I actually feature them in my "this is me at 22" video in case you wanted a closer look 🙈
Book unhauls give me so much peace somehow ahahah loved this🎉
it's almost like a declutter video 😂
This was fun! I’m excited for your new tastes of adult fantasy!
Yay, glad you enjoyed!
I literally just unhauled like 100 books, LOVE unhauls! Btw, The Wager is definitely nonfiction.
wish I'd known before buying it 😂😂
i recommed sadie as an audiobook if ur into a like podcast solving mystery case type vibe
that's what some people were telling me, maybe one day i'll give it a chance!
I love watching these videos....seeing someone unhaul books makes me feel like I can do it and not feel guilty for it lol ❤❤❤❤ nice hair cass love it
Yesss do it! It's definitely hard at first, but it feels so great with less clutter!
Love the un-haul. I need to do another one for me here soon. I have books that have been on my shelves for years and never read them.
it's freeing to get them off your shelves!
@@cassandralynnreads, it is but where I go is not taking books right now.. I'll have to find someplace else.

I think if I ever do feel inclined to pick it up it certainly will be the audiobook, I'm not built for sitting and reading nonfiction haha 😂
Love the short hair! You look like Rapunzel from Tangled! 🫶🏻
awe that's so sweet! 🫶
I love your debate on the bardugo books lol. You are so strong with getting rid of them
I was nearly swayed haha
Alsooo I loveee the short hair!! 🥰🩷✨
eee thanks! 🫣💕
Not Sadie 😭 one of my favorite books! I finally reread it this year and it’s still so good 😭♥️
eee sorry! 😅

people have been telling me the sadie audiobook is spectacular, so I may actually cave when I'm in the mood for a mystery haha

Manga collecting is certainly a deep rabbit hole 😂
Not me now going through my books and getting rid of some I know I won't read. Luckily many I got for free/cheap

I think for videos, it makes it a bit more interesting to give a bit of reason! But most of these were just, 'I'm not gonna read these bye.' 😂
Library books and then you can identify the books you want to buy.
it's a good strategy haha, I always procrastinate buying them after I read them though 😂
hope your good cass x nice bit of unhauling x 😂 looking forward to u been back on patreon x pj 🎉
so soon!
