- Gopro Hero12 Black Max lens Mod 2.0 and Original Max Lens Mod. Is there a difference? Yes, there is a big difference between the two lens. Is the new one worth it? I think it can be. The Wide view is better than I thought. When I go for a next quick bike ride I will see how useable the Widest view is. When using the Max Lens Mods, I still treat them like my 360 camera lens. When the camera isn't in use, cover the lens. I personally got the lens from the Gopro website, but I will leave some Amazon Affiliate links right below if you want to check them out. I actually like the Hyperview the best. It doesn't work in every place either. The advantage is that the effect does not have to be installed later as an FX. At 2K a lot of depth is lost, Even with 60 frames per second. The hyperlabs look amazing, as always. 👍😃
Thanks Doc Hasta. Yeah, the 2.7k is way less than the 4k the New one with the 12 can do with the Max Lens Mod.

What about Linear Max Lens 2.0 it came in the 2.0 Firmware.
Tried it. It gives you just about the exact view as regular linear mode. I thought it would have been wider.

Hello. I have max lens 2.0. There is a difference in quality between the 4k 60 images I took with the original hero12 lens and the 4k 60 images I took with the Max lens 2.0. The image is blurry with the Max lens 2.0, the focus is less, I get much better picture quality without the Max lens, is this normal?
Doesn't sound normal. I haven't used my max lens 2.0 in a while but it was always sharp to me
