- There is no world in which the intentional forced famine of 1.1 million people cannot be considered genocide. And that is exactly what we are watching unfold in Gaza now.
It is against United States law to transfer weapons to any force blocking US humanitarian assistance. We must enforce compliance and halt weapons transfers to the Israeli government to stop an atrocity in the making.

Hamas has rejected each one because it refuses to return the remaining innocent people it took hostage when it attacked Israel on Oct. 7.
AOC worldview lens is based on skin color and "oppressor vs. oppressed." She is not smart enough or hard working enough to do her research and understand the full historical context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I don't think this is someone who deserves to be a leader in our government.

A well-structured and delivered speech indeed. AOC is one of the young and smart politicians who stand out among many mediocre ones. The US has failed terribly up to now to leverage its influence on Israel in terms of the Israeli government’s response to Hamas' atrocity in Gaza. The US is the world’s largest weapon manufacturer and supplier. So, the US provides weapons to the fighting factions and at the same time tries to provide humanitarian assistance. It just does not make any sense to me. I am a Norwegian citizen. I just found out that the pension fund of Norway, which is the largest in the world, is partially invested in the US weapon industry. It is all about making money, no matter if it happens at the expense of suffering humans. It is the same story with global warming and climate change as well. This is being discussed now in Norway in relation to the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. I hope the US lawmakers can do more to stop this by putting their foot down on Israel and demanding them to stop this type of overwhelming action.

It is time *We* can understand a separation of a State from a religion and condemn the actions of a State, and not a religion. The State of Israel commits these actions, not those of Jewish faith. the State of Israel should be held accountable, not those that follow Judaism and it is the State of Israel that is required, must be required to carry the financial burden of building back the Palestinian land, not take more of it away.
