St Augustine when called to the priesthood said that he was terrified and wanted to flee from what God had called him to we to can be terrified of what God calls us to do we must take up the cross and in doing so shatter the FEAR that binds us and be brought into a new place of FREEDOM knowing we are doing Gods will for the salvation of souls!

Jesus went into hell for the salvation of souls in obedience to God's will. Sceptics are watching those corageous speakers who claim to follow Christ. The security of the saints was in the terror of hell.

Want to destroy your kids, try to please them instead of God.
Want to destroy your marriage try to please your spouse instead of God.
Want a great marriage, to be the best parent you can be, try always to do Gods Will with respect to them.
Love is all giving, and giving all … to your loved one, and the greatest _things_ you can give them is what God wants you to give them, no more, no less.
So love Jesus first and foremost so you can love all the people in your life the best and fullest way that is possible.
If you don’t do that, not only are you not worthy of Him, you are depriving your spouse and kids of your best love.

Admittedly, this is certainly a very profound teaching. We must be willing to follow Christ even more than our family. Often our family can lead us away from Christ because they refuse to love Christ as much as we do. Mark 111: 24-25 says whatever we ask for in prayer, believe that we have received it, and it will be yours. Yet if you have anything against anyone, forgive them so that your Father in heaven may forgive your sins. John 5:22-23 says the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgement to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him. ❤

A Protestant response - No, a Christian response. No division here, no baiting. As an older individual brought up in the wonderful church, before Vatican II we heard this all the time. These are hidden truths, only because the Catholic Church watered itself down after Vatican II. We all have certain beliefs that are in agreement because we are all Christians. In the end, all those who love Jesus may have to learn to ban together. Islam is encroaching in the West at an alarming rate. ✝

@@janec9850 No - Respectfully, this channel identifies itself as a Roman Catholic channel not a Christian channel. Bishop Barron is a Roman Catholic bishop. I am a Protestant, therefore I provided a Protestant response.. Yes we are all Christians and praise God for that but Roman Catholicism tries to tell me as aProtestant that I am not part of Christ’s church and I do not possess the fulness of faith. It also says Protestant clergy are not validly ordained and Protestants do not have valid sacraments. So if there is a division issue, it is plain to see where it is coming from.

@@Justyouraverageguy172 Wrong. Division started when the historical accretion known as the papacy arrived on the scene in Christian history in the 5th century. When the bishop of Rome without warrant, exalted himself over the entire church, division followed. The biggest split this caused was the great schism between East and West in the 12th century.

Dear Brother in Christ, you seem to be very sincere, so I try to help you. You should have challenged Bishop Barron: 'Hey, Bishop Barron, these are not any "hidden teachings of Jesus" at all, since all His words registered are read and pronounced aloud all over the world, evry day of the year! No, it is their meaning in this and some other passages that are hidden even today for almost everybody, but it was not so for the Christians during the first three hundred years of Christianity! It was namely unthinkable for them to (against the Commandments of Jesus) harm or kill their blood-thirsty persecutors or any of their neighbors in 'self-defence' or any other reason! We Christians should at last understand again, that we may for the Love of Jesus "take the bullet" for our son or neighbor (like Kolbe Maximilian) but never "shoot the bullet" to "save" by our betrayal of Jesus whomever. No Authority in Heaven or on Earth may (validly) change or modify this, and to attempt that, like the Hierarchy of our still One Church did in the fourth Century, thereby leading a multitude of souls towards Hell, is a betrayal of Jesus, which He never will condone, even though He mercifully forgives the truly penitent! Repent and live!' Veritatis Missio

Even though Jesus spoke this way, we can’t confuse him with the Almighty God. Jesus is our connection to the Almighty God but he is not the Almighty God. John 17:3. Pick up your cross, it is our own sinfulness Jesus meant, not the cross of others, each one has to carry his own cross. It is true that we can help others, but it is our own cross Jesus was talking about.

Not, what Jesus was saying does not point to himself but to the Almighty God. It is an error to think that Jesus is the source of life, the source of life is the Father of Jesus who is his God. John 17:3 “ and this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God and Jesus whom you have sent.”

God is Triune indivisible union of Father, Son and Spirit. Jesus has always been God, even while on earth. This is called the hypostatic union. Christ is fully God and Man. We pray to both God and Jesus. The Bible actually talks about Christ as the great high priest. He mediates our prayers and provides us direct access to the Father, read Hebrews.

I don’t agree with the cross is supposed to be for suffering! I believe Jesus to find what it’s supposed to be! Right after he said, take up your cross, he said, for he that saves his life so lose it, and he loses his life she’ll find it. There’s only one reason for the cross, and that is to die on! Jesus only suffered on the cross for six hours, it was made to be torture for at least two or three days that’s why they crucified people it was torture! Which suffering was so good how come Jesus didn’t even make it as much as most average people would? Or the fact of the matter is he could’ve lasted forever on the cross because he said no man takes my life but I lay it down on my own and I will pick it up again. So he did what he had to do in six hours, and he gave up the ghost. They couldn’t even believe he died that fast! That’s why they had the check and put a spirit aside to make sure he was dead! You’re not supposed to be walking around with a cross your whole entire life you’re supposed to take it out and die on it as quickly as possible! Not physically, of course it’s the old man that must die!
