I too like this explanation. I remember when I went to St. Joseph’s school in MA, I got the explanation it was an mystery of the church. It was ok then, but your explanation took the mystery out of that old explanation. Thank you
My mom told me almost an exact version of this 60 years ago. I did not realize that Bishop Barron was so traditional. It makes me like him a lot more , plus this is helpful.
Bishop Barron, I hope you will keep this message posted, or post it on a regular basis. Such a beautiful explanation of the Holy Trinity and especially the Holy Spirit. Thank you.
😊I’d rather hope for much much more -- that Bishop Barron at this stage choose to gather exceptional priests & lay people close followers who will study BB’s theological spiritual sharings & insights, such as this then disseminate to ‘hungry for the Truth Catholics, such as me/us, ‘coz we might not be allowed to “clone” BB 🤣! Thank you BB I listen almost everyday- 🤔 Holy Spirit ‘addicted’ to your ever constant spirit-filled brilliant guidance …. am out of words to express myself!❤ Grateful to God for you & your giftness! ❤❤❤
the whole human race is the holy spirit; you will realize this when you become aware that the only place that Divine Energy resides is in one's heart; just clear out all the strangers that have a tendency to live there, like lust, anger, greed, jealousy, and the worst crime of all, hypocrisy.
Bishop Barron's explanation is excellent. However he opens the door to a spiritual side of life that the Church, Christians, Ministers, and Pastors have ignored for 1800 years. He has established that the Holy Spirit is the breath of love breathed between Father and Son and eminating down into the physical world, but Jesus spoke of a different type of spirit - The Spirit of Truth that He would send to humans following His return to Heaven which would instruct mankind about all the spiritual things that He was unable to teach at that time. The we have the Apostles writing about the "spirits of truth" in the plural, and sending letters to the early communities instructing them how to "test the spirits" and determine whether they are from God. This infers that the spirits who were active on earth in the time of Origen and Tertullian, and in modern times, could originate either from Heaven or Hell - yet their manifestation in Charismatic Churches is attributed to the Holy Spirit to which Bishop Barron refers. If the Holy Spirit was the only benevolent spiritual manifestation from the Kingdom of Christ in the world then there would be no need to "test the spirits". It is always the "spirits" who should be tested. There is no instruction in the New Testament to "test the Holy Spirit".
Could we watch the videos of rev. bishop Barron without introductions, explanations, waste of time … the words of Bishop Barron are clear understandable and welcome. In my opinion., there is not the need of intermediaries or “teachers”. Thank you.
but in all due respect, how do we know this, Bishop B? why are we twisting it (and our minds, to say nothing of the language being used) into a pretzel? how do we (the ordinary people, believers, thinkers - yes, but just people after all) know this with such surety? to me it just sounds like lovely linguistic origami - precision corner here, double fold there, folds of meaning within folds. but isn't it, after all, just a clean, square sheet of luminous paper? can we just leave it at that?
The use of foreign words, especially from languages like German or Latin, often arises from the need to describe complex mental states, feelings, or concepts that don’t have a simple equivalent in our own language. Lack of an equivalent in the native language: Some feelings, philosophical concepts, or psychological states simply don’t have a proper translation, so we adopt the original word to retain its meaning. For example, the Latin phrase “carpe diem” (seize the day) represents a philosophical concept that’s hard to condense into one phrase in other languages. Thus, foreign words allow us to express certain ideas and emotions more precisely and richly, which may not have an exact version in our own language.
Thank you for your wonderful explanation Bishop Barron. I love the holy breath of love between Father and Son, its beautiful ❤️

I am 65 (almost 66) years old and I've never heard teaching like this! (Catholic or Protestant!) Thank you Bishop Barron!
Great 👍

How do the Eastern Orthodox disagree with this, vis a vis the debate over the Filioque?
They don’t believe in the Spiration of the Spirit from the Son.
Please stop stealing Bishop Barrons content and actually try making your own vidoes 🙏🏼 God bless.
THIS CHANNEL ISN'T OFFICIALLY BISHOP BARON WOR IN FIRE IS HIS TH-cam CHANNEL.

Can we not relate better to the precise that to the abstract?
Why does Bishop Barron talk in different languages that no one cares about, and is just distracting?
