I’ve reflected on this a lot. My wife would have done so, & likely been fine. She’s just not afraid of dogs! Me on the other hand…😩. I’m going to start carrying mace
Definitely wouldn't want to be in that creek after dark. Pitt Bulls ain't no joke. They simply put the blame on you instead of taking care of their dogs. That first smallie was a tank! Most of the time it seems like they smack that plopper instead of eating it. Still so much fun watching them do it.
I always carry a hunting knife and 9mm. You never know when you're going to come upon a meth camp in Missouri. Had a great year with the plopper! Nice catch on the plopper, and another great video! Tight lines...
The Plopper has been good to me the past few years! Yeah, I need to at least start carrying Spray, that was a spooky situation/. The big Smallie made it worth it though 😎. Thanks for watching, I’m in hunting mode now!
I was archery hunting in jan 23, and had a group of pits stalk me and then surround me. I had to speak with my 357 to scare them away. Never trust dogs in the wild with no owners. Rarely a good sign. This was unit 35B in AZ btw. Mexico, AZ border.
Bro that's TERRIFYING! These actually appeared to be fairly well taken care of 'Camp Dogs' & there were several people around. But to get stalked in a remote area like you were in... PHEW! Good thing you were carrying & made it out of that one.
This is one of the biggest reasons that fisherman might carry some type of weapon? And just as these dogs came outta nowhere it could be wild hogs, bear, other K-9 species, or snakes? You'll not know but that's why many states allow fishermen to carry? You look to be in an urban area but you are fishing & there are obviously wild animals around. Those 2 were WILD ! The folks let them loose & I just saw a couple sentenced to prison for their dogs killing someone? Be safe
People really need to keep their dogs on leashes, biggest pet peeve of mine. I had this happen to me once too. I had one hand on my knife in case that thing took even one more step towards me, but then the owner appeared and grabbed the dog. I never blame dogs for their behavior, I blame the owners.
I’m TOTALLY a wimp when it comes to Dogs😩. Seriously, my wife would’ve stood there all calm & Fido & Butch would’ve calmed right down. Thanks for watching, what do you like to Fish for?
Hey brother just a suggestion. Set your gopro ratio at 16:9 and wider view be good to. Just my opinion. Other than that awesome scary video. 😅. That's why I don't trust ANYBODIES dog!
"If you run it makes it worse!" Maybe they were giving advice about what happened in your pants after that encounter. Glad you're safe!
My pants ended up OK thankfully:)
This is why you should always carry a firearm.
It became a tense situation very quickly!
Never leave home without it!
It’s true that if you run from a dog it makes it more likely to chase you. Just stand your ground, pick up a big rock if you’re worried.

I've had to draw on a dog that ran up on me. I won't hesitate to protect myself from a dog attack.
I hear ya Man!

DEFINITELY not Fishing there after dark! Yeah, a Pitt can ruin your day. Even though their tails were wagging, they had me plenty scared.

Yikes. Definitely getting real with those dogs. Nice work fishing!
Yeah... it was 'real' alright!!
Great fish to start it out! I don’t mess with dogs either you definitely never know how it could end up!
I worked my BUTT off for that Smallie, but she was a nice surprise! My Wife has an ability to put a calm energy out to Dogs. Me... not so much!
@@TrueNorthOutdoorAdventures my wife as well man!

@@EtiotAngler tight lines Dude, thanks for checking out my Channel!
Great video
Hey, thanks for watching!!
That’s why I carry some OC spray with me, in case I come across some critters.
The spray is going to become an SOP in my Creek bag moving forward! Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching! This was a scary encounter that is making me rethink a lot of things!!
Is there no leash law in your state
There may or may not be. I called Police AND Animal Emergency. No interest/staffing/availability on Animal Control side😳

Agree w/you 100%! Thanks for watching Man.
They should have had them dogs on a Lesh! Man, I would of ran too!
I agree about the leash... but a lot of rules/ideals don't apply in those camps!
You're a whimp..lol...seriously though...this is why I carry in the outdoors...
