After a month it would turn to locks and you will loose a lot of hair with the take down unless you never wash it. She had to take it down in a week or two...she will still loose a lot of hair with the take down. It’s definitely not a low manipulation hairstyle. That hairstyle is only good for women who have straight or chemically straight hair.
I did 120 mini twists when I was nine months pregnant (only by the grace of God!) and when you showed how exhausted you were, I had major flashbacks and I felt that to my core. 😩 You were laughing at the end because you were so deliriously happy to be finished. 😄 Thank you so much for sharing this style and counting the twists! It came out very beautifully. 🦋🌻🌻
You should just show different styles for this. Give your wrist a break and show how to keep up with it, refresh it and when you are ready to take it out, how to safely do so that you won’t have breakage. Please like so she can see
Thank you so much for the ideas but i was only able to leave the twists in for a little over a week because i had other content to film, I really wanted to leave them in longer😩. As for styling, I basically styled them how i style my loose twists. If you’ve seen my “how to style loose twists” video, i did the exact same styles. The only other extra styling i did was when i curled the twists with rollers and i filmed that, so it should be posted by next week. To refresh the twists, I simply spray water, apply a leave in and then a cream directly on to the twists. Sometimes, if the ends of a few twists come undone, i apply curly magic to redo the ends. You can also braid them overnight if you wanna stretch them and i slept with my hair in a satin scarf. I kept checking one random twist every 2 days to see if locing was occurring, but I didn’t have any locing within the time i had the twists. I plan on doing this again in December or January, when i can keep them longer for about 3-4 weeks to see how they last and how my hair behaves. I’ll definitely do updates on that.

You are so beautiful and you do an amazing job on your channel. Aweee you worked hard and looks fantastic #Cutie Whats the secret how to keep the commitment over and over and over I am growing mine and I find difficult to keep my hair kept nicely. U rock friend
I’m so happy you did this video 😊 Do you plan to keep them in for a few years since your still considering sister/micro locking? I was in the same place but now I’d never lock my hair and here’s why: My hair is 16 inches, super fine, medium/low density, frizzy 4a/b. My main reason was to grow long hair without losing so much in the brush on wash days. Like you I was considering microlocs so did a full “grid” with aprox 430 twists. It took 3 full days doing it myself. If I go 4 wk before retwisting my hair has already started matting in areas and it takes 7 days to fully retwist! So now I just redo a small section every week, wash my hair 2x w/ water or vinegar. I rarely use conditioner and Castor oil & Shea butter are my main staples. Also I only finger detangle, no brushes or combs. At night I sleep with 2 braids and a bonnet so “wake and shake” is real thing now. As a professional hairstylist from NYC I can say this is the best for retaining African hair for long length and I should have done this 20 years ago... like seriously. Someday when I reach my goal I’ll take them out but for now I finally have shiny pretty hair that I never had when loose. I’ve been rocking my twists for 5 months now and can definitely see the length.
Lovely hair❤️💕. You're one of my fav youtubers and I started washing you since I started transitioning in 2016. Thanks to your techniques, I am now at mid-back length. Looking forward to waist and hopefully hip length hair😄😄 BTW, are you a Yoruba girl? I am though, just curious😜

Or when you stop interacting with someone you follow their videos won’t come up even though you set up the notifications button to be shown their videos. Long story short you can train your social media and that’s why some of the best contents still have dislikes. However some are just hating for the sake of it or genuinely dislike the videos but why do they follow is the real question...🤷🏾♀️ 🤣
@@Ossouko wooow this is very interesting. I need to watch Jackie’s video. I didn’t even know this was a thing.
miserable they are
Oo!!! 😳 my!! They look so so so beautiful 😍 Wow 😯. I love ❤️ it. Thank you 🙏
This is so cute, but I definitely wouldn’t have time to try it. Sister locks would look so cute on you, but I wonder what the maintenance is like.
Your hair is so full and beautiful!!!
Super video, beautiful hair. Could you do a takedown video with tips & tricks? Last time I did minitwists my hair had matted.
Super cute. Those would be cute locs on you at that size
Your twists are truly beautiful especially because your hair is so thick!! Shame you could only keep them in for one week though! Love you shirt!!
These twist are so cute on you! You did an awesome job! Thanks for sharing! 💕
omggg this is your look 🥰 i loveeeee it. & I have locs.. I just started using uncle funky's daughter... it's good, i agree
I love this song and beautiful hair!!
I think maybe you could have stretched the style longer if you did a video on how you maintain the twists.
Have you ever tried the wrapping lotions and the dryer to lock it in? I wonder if it will make the style last longer... that’s a lot of work but it’s gorgeous on you!
This was soo pretty i had to try. I dont think i did my twists small enough, I only have about 105, still trying to decide if I like mine. Thanks for the tutorial
guuurl. i got tired when you said that small section was gonna have 7 twists. so much tiiiiiime.
Aweee you worked hard and looks fantastic #Cutie
Whats the secret how to keep the commitment over and over and over I am growing mine and I find difficult to keep my hair kept nicely. U rock friend
This is a beautiful style. I love that you used your own hair. Great job!
Just beautiful, well done tenacity at its best.
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS .
Thank you Kamara!!❤️
I’m so happy you did this video 😊 Do you plan to keep them in for a few years since your still considering sister/micro locking? I was in the same place but now I’d never lock my hair and here’s why:
My hair is 16 inches, super fine, medium/low density, frizzy 4a/b.
So impressive! What's your hair update 8 months later?
You are so beautiful 🥰. I really wish I had the patience to do this to my hair.
Very nice‼️ But all that work for a week of style...no ma’am🤣 The perm rod look was GORGEOUS!
Omg if your were to let it loc it would be so pretty!!! Btw it's pretty now!
Your hair looked wonderfull, and I've decided to finish my products and start my loc journey for this decade, probably by december for sure.
