I used to work at a gas station, and every time a new Mtn Dew flavor came in I would try it. I also tried the seasonal ones that came out every year knowing I didn't like them. The worst flavors I have ever had were: 1. Spicy Mtn Dew. This shit tasted like battery acid. Wasn't spicy on the tongue, but felt like it was trying to melt your stomach on the inside. 2. My favorite dews were pitch black and supernova. They only came out for like two days in my area and it hurt my soul. I was a kid so I’d have to ask my mom to stop at the gas station so I could get stuff, I grabbed supernova one day and pitch black the day after and it was a life changing experience. I go back to the store on day 3 and it’s gone, not a single one left in stock, they even had the commercials on tv for like only 2 days. Pitch black was grape Mountain Dew and kinda like a better grape crush and supernova was strawberry watermelon. I’d give my left nut to have another supernova

Mountain Dew: Liberty Brew was this cursed abomination of a soda; 50 flavors in one god-forsaken can. Came out right before covid, which was simultaneously the worst yet best thing to ever happen. Right at that same time, cheez-itz came out with the best snack known to man: extra toasty. Typical covid lunch was a bowl of extra toasty cheez itz and a can of liberty brew, which (in case you didn't know) is the secret combination of foods to unlock the "dead by heart attack at 25" secret ending to your life. Liberty Brew is by no means something that is 'good' but damnit it was amazing taking a sip and, for a moment, seeing what God saw in the world when he said "this is good." This of course was immediately followed by crushing chest pain and a strange tightness in my jaw (heart attack symptoms). The only remedy to that is to keep on drinking it to remain in a constant state of euphoria, constantly evading the heart attack symptoms like a billionaire evading their taxes. Liberty Brew will always hold a special place in my heart. I know this because I have recurring chest pain. If they never release it again, I'll have a chance at living a long and healthy life. But if they ever come out with it again, I'll be downing that stuff faster than a priest downs his daily 3-5 bottles of wine. If that coveted day ever comes, wish me the best of luck. I'll have either ascended to godhood, or I'll be dead on my kitchen floor after suffering from 3 consecutive heart attacks.

Mountain Dew Throwback has a special place in my heart. I used to go camping with an old friend of mine and we would always bring a pack of it and go fishing. I absolutely loved the stuff. Nowadays they rebranded it as Real Sugar but it tastes nowhere near as good as the original.
Pitch Black is the best Mountain Dew they have ever came out with. So good that in fact it won a competition against Baja Blast to stay in stores. I'm not sure why they stopped selling them but They need to bring it back
Mountain Dew connoisseur here. There are a ton of flavors they didn't try. Almost every grocery store, gas station, and restaurant has their own exclusive dew flavor. There are of course countless discontinued flavors that weren't in the video too. My all time favorite was Black Label. Pitch Black is also one of my favorites, but you can only get it in Canada right now, or as a slurpee at certain gas stations.
The Holiday Brew from 2017 will always be my favorite. I still remember bringing that to a big Halo night hangout and all of us going nuts over it and having to go back out to the grocery before it closed to get more. That 60 Code Red 40 OG ratio was perfect

Nvm found out it was the dark berry flavor not pitch black, I really enjoyed the dark berry flavor. Almost like white out but with more of a berry taste and very smooth.
In regards to mixed drinks using Mtn Dew, I came up with this in College: Puca's Nuclear Rain 1x shot apple pie moonshine 1x shot Jim Beam Honey 1x shot Vodka (Aristocrat for classic college experience, I recommend at least once) 1x teaspoon of Lemon Juice 1x Can of Mtn Dew, filling until glass is at a manageable drinking level Optional - Ice pour all alcohol first into a shaker with ice, add Lemon juice, shake contents to chill, then pour into a standard glass or solo cup, adding Mtn Dew until at manageable level for drinking without spills, stir, add ice if needed, and enjoy your blackout!

Voodew 2021 (V3) was a fruit candy chew (according to Mtn Dew's official Twitter), but more specifically, a blue raspberry taffy flavor. The V1 (D-Tier for Charlie) was candy-corn. V2 is similar to Skittles. But like, all the flavors at the same time so it's blech.
Charlie was right and the Mtn Dew black market is kinda insane. I was following through Google the different flavors Charlie and Matt were drinking just to look at the cans because lets be honest, Mtn Dew has some of the best can designs and the prices for some individual flavors are just wild.

Pitch Black originally came out alongside Halo 3 or during its run im pretty sure. It was so good, As a kid I didn't care for sodas too much but I remember GUZZLING those at a buddies house while we played Halo and Oblivion lmao
The original Pitch Black was one of their contest flavours in 2000-something, it ran with White Out which unfortunately won and was made permanent flavour, even though OG Pitch Black was clearly superior.
Can confirm at least regular Mt Dew works as a perfectly fine mixer for pretty much any clear alcohol and various rums. Don't recommend it for whiskey though.

The reason the sugar was so inconsistent is that all of the ones they were looking at that had 70+ grams of sugar were 20 oz bottles, but all the ones they said had around 45 were 12 oz, they actually all have about the same amount of sugar.

This may have been said already, but slight correction to Matt: the Halo 3 tie in was specifically with the first release of Game Fuel, which at the time was only Citrus Cherry not the Mystic Punch flavor in the video. It was brought back with Mystic Punch, but due to scarcity and being far more popular it sold out pretty quickly and it looks like they couldn’t find a bottle for the video. Still loved it as always!

Mountain Dew Throwback has a special place in my heart. I used to go camping with an old friend of mine and we would always bring a pack of it and go fishing. I absolutely loved the stuff. Nowadays they rebranded it as Real Sugar but it tastes nowhere near as good as the original.
That OG throwback with the cane sugar was the best soda ever. They also had the pepsi throwback which was also great

Mountain Dew connoisseur here. There are a ton of flavors they didn't try. Almost every grocery store, gas station, and restaurant has their own exclusive dew flavor. There are of course countless discontinued flavors that weren't in the video too. My all time favorite was Black Label. Pitch Black is also one of my favorites, but you can only get it in Canada right now, or as a slurpee at certain gas stations.
The Holiday Brew from 2017 will always be my favorite. I still remember bringing that to a big Halo night hangout and all of us going nuts over it and having to go back out to the grocery before it closed to get more. That 60 Code Red 40 OG ratio was perfect

Nvm found out it was the dark berry flavor not pitch black, I really enjoyed the dark berry flavor. Almost like white out but with more of a berry taste and very smooth.

Puca's Nuclear Rain
1x shot apple pie moonshine
1x shot Jim Beam Honey
1x shot Vodka (Aristocrat for classic college experience, I recommend at least once)
1x teaspoon of Lemon Juice
1x Can of Mtn Dew, filling until glass is at a manageable drinking level
Optional - Ice
pour all alcohol first into a shaker with ice, add Lemon juice, shake contents to chill, then pour into a standard glass or solo cup, adding Mtn Dew until at manageable level for drinking without spills, stir, add ice if needed, and enjoy your blackout!

Voodew 2021 (V3) was a fruit candy chew (according to Mtn Dew's official Twitter), but more specifically, a blue raspberry taffy flavor.
The V1 (D-Tier for Charlie) was candy-corn.
V2 is similar to Skittles. But like, all the flavors at the same time so it's blech.

Can confirm at least regular Mt Dew works as a perfectly fine mixer for pretty much any clear alcohol and various rums. Don't recommend it for whiskey though.

The reason the sugar was so inconsistent is that all of the ones they were looking at that had 70+ grams of sugar were 20 oz bottles, but all the ones they said had around 45 were 12 oz, they actually all have about the same amount of sugar.

This may have been said already, but slight correction to Matt: the Halo 3 tie in was specifically with the first release of Game Fuel, which at the time was only Citrus Cherry not the Mystic Punch flavor in the video. It was brought back with Mystic Punch, but due to scarcity and being far more popular it sold out pretty quickly and it looks like they couldn’t find a bottle for the video. Still loved it as always!
The cherry citrus game fuel is easily S tier, it’s nice that they bring it back occasionally. My other favs were liberty brew and (currently) spark.
Man, if I knew Charlie was gonna be doing a Mountain Dew video and still needed the Halo Mountain Dew Citrus Cherry, I would've sent 2 cans of the stuff. I still got about 1-2 boxes of a 12 pack of the soda.
