As for me I did not have the typical symptoms, I didn’t have a lump, but I had noticed my right shoulder area continued to be sore & the discomfort radiated to my underarm area. I blew it off thinking I was just sore from working out, but when I looked back I was blowing off that knot in my stomach feeling that something didn’t feel right. That voice in the back of your head, I was not listening too. That’s what I mean about listening to your body. My doctor told me that my tumor was so deep in the breast tissue that there was no way I would have felt a lump until it was too late. The mammogram is what found my lump. So, I highly encourage everyone to pay attention to your bodies, we know when something doesn’t feel right & even if we feel that we’re being a hypochondriac, so what, it’s better to have something caught early, rather than late.

I was cured of Stage 3 Hodgkin's, and that was in the Seventies. I don't know the numbers, but I would guess 90% of Stage 2 are cured today. Congratulations on getting better; it can be very scary.
I know your pain. I went through cancer early this year. I was diagnosed with stage 2 non hodkinson lymphoma. I had 4 tumors on the left side of my chest that were 8cms long. You think that it won't happen to you but damn when it does it hits like a ton of bricks and I'm only 29. I am so happy and thankful to say that i am in remission and hopefully I will stay that way forever. Glad to hear that you have beaten this roadblock. I pray for everyone who has had a rough 2020 because it's been a horrible year for everyone. God be with you all.

She was out of office for just 4 months though When is now fully back to work with I think drug treatment but I could have mistaken for "a few more treatments." I wish you all the best. I've battled Hodgkins Lymphoma 4 times in 20 yrs. You've totally got this. The best advice I can give you is go into to this journey with the most positive attitude you can. The mind is a powerful thing.
I'm glad to hear she is cancer free. If you ever feel like something isn't right please get it checked. My daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2012 right before her 6th birthday. Her left foot kept going numb and I just thought she sat on it wrong and her foot fell asleep. Then one day I picked her up from kindergarten and she collapsed in the car. She was rushed to dallas children's and found a huge mass in her brain that turned to be cancer. She is still fighting and will always have it. She just turned 14 on Halloween. I took her to MD Anderson cancer hospital in Houston and they started her on chemo. Tumors went from 6am to 5mm. Which is good. But she will always have it since its wrapped around her motor nerve. I just wish we didn't live so far from her oncologist and other doctors at MD Anderson. But hopefully soon I can get us another car and that will help with getting her there and back home in dallas. It's crazy how one day you feel great and then the next day be diagnosed with cancer. I pray this lady will stay cancer free. 💜

Being your own advocate and pushing is absolutely right. I had to fight like hell when my stage 4 nasopharyngeal cancer was initially diagnosed as a sinus infection. That was 3 years ago and after high doses of chemotherapy and radiation, I am still here and in remission. I am permanently disabled by the treatment side effects, but still able to enjoy the little things.
Her words hit home with me, because she's so right. You have to be your own advocate. Listen to your body and don't ignore your symptoms. I had a general feeling of light headnesses and symptoms which felt like anemia. It started in 2012. I had a number of visits to my primary, a carteologist, and even the emergency room when I was so freaked out by my symptoms. Everyone kept telling me I was fine. Finally in mid 2013 I started bleeding when having bowel movements. I went for a colonoscopy and I was approaching very early stage 3 colorectal cancer. Long story short, I went through a year of hell. Radiation, chemo, and two surgeries. But now I'm nearly seven years cancer free. If the doctors had been listening to what I was describing in the first place, I'd have avoided a lot of pain and suffering. Get second and third opinions!!

Absolutely go through chemo! I was diagnosed March 2019. Did chemo the full year, surgery and radiation and finished March 2020. I’m cancer free!

I took her to MD Anderson cancer hospital in Houston and they started her on chemo. Tumors went from 6am to 5mm. Which is good. But she will always have it since its wrapped around her motor nerve. I just wish we didn't live so far from her oncologist and other doctors at MD Anderson. But hopefully soon I can get us another car and that will help with getting her there and back home in dallas. It's crazy how one day you feel great and then the next day be diagnosed with cancer. I pray this lady will stay cancer free. 💜

My grandfather fought this cancer so many times. After several years he stopped treatments. It was too much for him and he passed away. I see this vid is three years old but I hope she faired better.
SO good to hear that it was stage two only. All our friends who have had cancer were given a stage-four diagnosis. Some are gone now. 😐

That cancer is very treatable. I had stage 0 and in 2015 and then stage 2 in 2019 breast cancer
Being your own advocate and pushing is absolutely right. I had to fight like hell when my stage 4 nasopharyngeal cancer was initially diagnosed as a sinus infection. That was 3 years ago and after high doses of chemotherapy and radiation, I am still here and in remission. I am permanently disabled by the treatment side effects, but still able to enjoy the little things.

Her words hit home with me, because she's so right. You have to be your own advocate. Listen to your body and don't ignore your symptoms. I had a general feeling of light headnesses and symptoms which felt like anemia. It started in 2012. I had a number of visits to my primary, a carteologist, and even the emergency room when I was so freaked out by my symptoms. Everyone kept telling me I was fine. Finally in mid 2013 I started bleeding when having bowel movements. I went for a colonoscopy and I was approaching very early stage 3 colorectal cancer. Long story short, I went through a year of hell. Radiation, chemo, and two surgeries. But now I'm nearly seven years cancer free. If the doctors had been listening to what I was describing in the first place, I'd have avoided a lot of pain and suffering. Get second and third opinions!!
