Good morning Taylor. I could listen to your yakking all day because your conversation is very interesting and informative. The care and attention that you give your cows is awesome. In any other herd that sick cow would be gone. Cows are a farm’s investment and should be treated as such. Stay positive, spring will eventually get here. Wishing you and Brent and your families a Happy Easter.. And that was a great video. Keep farming, keep smiling, and stay positive.🚜🐄🌽😉
Good morning! We love watching your show. Jason grew up on a dairy farm and says you know your stuff! We're off grid in Northern Ontario and in farm country on grid in south central Ontario. Love the attention you give your animals. We had sheep and bottle baby lambs a few years back. That calf drinking from the bottle melts my heart and brings back great memories. Keep up the good work and putting out this exact kind of content. Love it! ✌️💕🇨🇦🇺🇲
Hi! So glad you enjoy watching😃. That must be amazing living of the grid in such a beautiful place! Sounds like y’all are very busy and blessed! There’s nothing quite as sweet as newborns, glad it brought you some great memories. Thank you so so much for sharing, simply made my day! Y’all have a wonderful Easter😊🩷🥛
Hope your cow gets better soon. Cinnamon and the jersey heifers all look good. Sorry the snow dumped here but probably added more moisture going over the great lakes. I have never seen a cow with Johne's disease. The Ames Iowa Animal research Center was working on a cure (years ago) not sure if they ever got one. If I remember correct I think they thought Crohn's disease in humans is the same strain. It transfers from the fecal matter so please make sure you clean up and try to keep manure off your hands as much as you can. I really enjoy your videos that you do and explain what is going on at the farm, so thank you for explaining things so well. I think the bacterium that causes Johne's was first identified in chickens, but it has been a while since I heard that and I could be wrong. Hope you all stay safe and healthy.
Hi Taylor thanks for another great video. Sounds like you have had a bit of a worrying 😟 time, there's always something going on. Now that's what you call a sandwich 🥪 yummy, don't worry the slip was very elegant 😅 take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
My pleasure, thank you for joining me 😀. Sorry to hear that! Seems like that has been getting worse everywhere. We had an outbreak last year but it wasn’t too severe
Hi sweetheart, another great video. I’m glad you have no major sickness is going through the herd and yes, the snow sucks. Just gonna make a longer mud season.🤗
Good afternoon Taylor and Brent just finished watching video it’s awesome penny looks great here in west little snow plus no worries love hear you talking cause you’re explain everything and as always you both be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi Taylor, the crazy weather continues, making your plans to get on the fields harder. A cow with a mystery illness is difficult to deal with. It's seems you may have got her to turn the corner with your treatments. We know you like yakking, so don't apologise. Little Cinnamon is gorgeous and likes recognises you as her mum. Brent bagles look great, he could set up a side line and sell them at lunch time.
i am learning so much Taylor ! i watch several farming videos across the U, S, A, and you all have one thing in common , You all keep going no matter what ! ( from texas ) . Thank You so much !
Wow...That was an eventful few days....Sick cow and too much snow!! Thank you for the explanation of your cow's situation. I did not know about the problems out west with sick cows....because I stopped watching all news channels ~ 20 years ago. I just heard about the Baltimore bridge collapse from a friend this morning. Stay safe, warm and dry!!
Hi Tay,hi Brent, another great video. Omg That bagel looked sooooooo friggin yummy😍🤤😍🤤. Bird flu is not good at all. Spring is just around the corner. Stay safe. Catch u in the next video
Good Morning Taylor you are looking very beautiful today just take everything in stride. I know how much you enjoy your job and I enjoy watching your videos as soon as you post them😊
We had some old Alfalfa like that. Been in an off farm "overflow" barn for a few years. It was brown, but smelled really good. The cows went apeshit for it!! Aside from grain- aka ice cream for cows, as one farmer put it when I was a lad- it was always dry hay they seemed to like the most. And especially second cut clover/timothy mix- or that old alfalfa. Best part of feeding inside the barn at milking time? You never had to go get them, or chase them in! They'd be at the gate hollering for supper. Glad ol' Bessie is doing better. Always sucks when one of your old dependable cows gets sick, and you can't figure it out...

Good morning Taylor. I'm a new subscriber from Canada. I'm a 4th generation Dairy farmer and I will say that cow definitely has hardware. Seen this over the years so I'm sure that's what it is. Give her at least 3 magnets and lots of dry hay and water. She might be old but you're on the right track. Good luck.
OMG, 'when I start talking I have a hard time stopping'. (That's because you have so much to share in the limited time between milkin'.) Hee Hee Haw, that's why we love you! 🤣😶❤
Hi from the UK, milked cows for 40 years. Do you have to test for t.b. we have to test every 6 months if a positive test retested in 60 days , till 2 clear tests completed. Still catching up with excellent video's.
Ok on the yaking along I watch because your spot on proff you need to be born into dairy farming. Besides your daily makeup is exactly what a very cute farm girl needs. Take care and keep at it. Those hay bales Mr Brent knew the storm was coming and put them where he could reach them. Rick
hi, your mind is going 60 mph.... it's ok to take your foot off the gas peddle .....when you do that you will slow down.... then you won't be telling yourself you talk to fast. we are still going to be watching your videos ..... u can do it!!! FB in WY
Hello from a farm in sweden 🙋♂️🇸🇪. About the cow. Maby she ate something bad feed? Do you give her extra body temp water? Here in sweden we will give a cow activated charcoal paste and se if it help and vomstarter paste.
As i mentioned before all you need is 2 ball bearings, weld hub or you can do it by yourself in this situation using epoxy very cheap and strong enough for life of bearing
There's nothing as good as home cooking there's no restaurant or fast food that even comes close and it's much healthier the crap that they put in stuff nowadays is terrible that Brent he must be part chef you are very blessed to have that to work with
Taylor. I see you are getting rain today, will the Moo Moo’s still want to go out and get soaked being in the barn they are dry and cozy but you never know with the girls 😊
Yeah Normandes are always a bit stand offish i have 2 in my herd and one is a registered Normande and then i have a grade both due to calf next month and both go running the other way as soon as they see a person but there defintlly a hardy breed with little to no health issues
Just to let you know TH-cam unsubscribed me from your channel, I’ve been wondering why you haven’t posted so I went through my subscriptions and you were gone,
Since she recovered its highly unlikely she has Johnes. Dissentary usually affects a lot more cows. My unprofessional opinion would be she had acidosis. But since you guys don't push the grain very hard, I'm not sure. Good luck. Hope she keeps getting better.
Kinda a mystery. I would have agreed with you on the ketosis but her urine wasn’t testing with the powder and her breath smelled fine. Who knows only time will tell if she recovers. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
@@tayfarmsall these diagnosis coming in here, I think there's a pretty fair chance you got it right saying she got hardware probably the magnet is what made her feel better.
give her charcoal! Take plain charcoal, pound it fine, give her some for scours! An old Vet had my Dad do it our cows when they would get the scours! I know what its like to have that go thru the whole herd! I believe that the old JD tractors used vegetable oil in the rear end, because gear oil would eat up the wheel seals, up to a certain year, can't remember up to what year!
Yep, cows quite often swallow small metal objects and sometimes they can interfere with their digestive system. Giving them an oral magnet will latch on to the object and sink to the bottom of their stomach keeping them from causing problems
I love hearing you talk Ms. Tay!!! Keepin' it real!!

I love hearing what you have to say, Taylor. BTW, that sandwich looked great. It's always nice to have a boss that shows appreciation.
Glad to hear it😃. Yes I’m very fortunate to have a thoughtful boss!
Thank you for explaining the differences in cow sickness, you are very knowledgeable.

Thanks for another great video, the avian flu has been devastating here in Iowa to poultry farms the past couple of years!

Yes we have tested our herd before, but she is already greatly improved and putting weight back on and with Johns’s that wouldn’t be possible
