    Just got one of these a month ago with a Losi XXXNT. It was stuck from being gummed up. All cleaned up and spins smoothly. Just needs a resize.

    I got a 2.5 that was stored for 4+yrs. It had been ran with top fuel. The irony is that I used top fuel to remove the gum. It works faster then DW but then once clean I rinse it out with DW wipe it and oil it. Now it’s so smooth and ready for some Bones fuel.

      Nitro fuel removes Nitro fuel better WD40 sucks at basically every but removal of water. If something like denatured alcohol or non chlorinated brake parts cleaner is much better to use and then use a proper oil afterwards

    I think the 2 best Engine brands and that are my Favorite ones is O.S Engine and Dynamite.

    • @thebug4046
      @thebug4046  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      OS is usually always great as long as you avoid the old ABN sleeve engine as they didn't last long sadly. And Dynamite is made by SH very interchangeable and always good quality

    • @nighthawkj30A4
      @nighthawkj30A4 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thebug4046 it is that Dynamite Mach 2 .19T is going into a Jato soon comes in stock at Amain. It way better built then the 3.3 i used to think the 3.3 was a good engine but after break not even the gallon the bearing went. Replaced with Avid ceramics. And put in a OS 11K at that point i realized should just got OS from the start.

    I wish OS still made the CV i used to see those in Early RC10GT models. Idk why they stopped making the O.S CV engine meh guess it was to small maybe.

    • @thebug4046
      @thebug4046  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Basically everyone stopped making 1/10 engines because ⅛ is better so they say. And the original CV engines all tho they ran good were actually kinda a shitty engine only a 2 port design and and soft nickel plating on the sleeve they could have done much better. The CVR was the new upgrade model with an actual 3 port sleeve better timing numbers and a chrome plated sleeve and a much better piston design

    How fortuitous that you made this video. I got a Max 15cv-x from 2005 that came “free” in a box ‘o stuff from an older gentleman, getting rid of his Son’s nitro stuff.
    Total I have four rolling, complete chassis, five complete engines, about 40 wheels/rims sets. 20 off-road truck style and 20 street-car style. 9 glo-start starters and a box of 12 glo-plugs.

      About 1992 more than likely. You might be able to find a few parts on eBay for it. OS 7 glow plug and a good quality fuel buy it with 8% oil and add klotz Benol castor oil to 13% by volume will make the piston and sleeve last longer and heap with piston seal

    • @thebug4046
      @thebug4046  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not worth it. Take a really long time and often a few that don't turn out quite right before you get a good one. And the amount of If supplies that you go through just to make one I wouldn't have been $200 each. And yes the 12cv and 15 cv rod is the same you can even use a Traxxas pro 15 rod if you can't get anything else

    What’s the best way to shut my nitro down brother?

    • @thebug4046
      @thebug4046  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pinch the fuel line. Run it out of fuel till it won't start at all that's the best way. It doesn't If hurt anything when you do that you don't want fuel sitting in your engine because that's how it gets corrosive and varnishes the inside of your engine

    • @evanmeneilley3228
      @evanmeneilley3228 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thebug4046 okay that’s what I always thought too but recently heard to plug the pipe cause you don’t want it to go lean I was like hmmm I don’t think it matters going lean at idle for 3 seconds..

    • @thebug4046
      @thebug4046  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@evanmeneilley3228 Be careful what you believe because there's a lot of false information out there and like I said when you plug the exhaust you flood the engine with extra fuel which will sit in the bottom of your engine make it very difficult to start next time make it hydrologue as well as attract moisture and rust the inside of your engine running amount of fuel does not hurt them at all there is 12.8 oz of oil per gallon there's more there than he realized the fuel will burn away the oil will not That's how control line engines work when they are running at 20000 rpm continuous in the air until they run out a fuel thousands of times.
