Here's me trying to step these SGS videos up a notch! I hope you enjoyed this video - I was going for a bigger mix, but using only my guitar to create everything you hear - beat included! This is without a doubt one of my favs right now! Love the production and what you did. Reversed it? Or gated reverb? Either way it's unexpected and pretty darn cool! ***** Also - forgot to say! Yes - well-spotted! I used a bunch of things, including a reversed sample, which was sent into an opposite-panned reverse reverb (which should, technically, take it back into forward playback again; although this is quite quiet, so it's probably more 'felt' than heard I guess). And a load of other little bits - it was actually one of the more confusing mixes for me to navitgate. Way too many tracks to make sense really haha. But I hope it made a bit of sense afterwards! It was actually quite fun using just guitar as a source instrument to build a whole track, for a change! :)
Adam Lee the hard work payed off, inspirational stuff. I don't post a lot of music unless I really feel it and believe in it. I say it how I hear it and got to be the best thing I've heard in a while. Except maybe your other covers! You should feel proud. Although after this I may never touch my guitar again lol. You set the bar so high. Hope PRS peeps see this! Again, well done.

your guitar covers are amazing! I usually love acoustic fingerstyle covers but your electric interpretations add something I find lacking going back to acoustic "only" covers now.
on another note, I find it pretty easy to figure out the melodies but have often a hard time figuring out the chords especially when the songs aren't played on a guitar in the original version. Do you have any tips to sharpen the ear besides just trying over and over again?

can someone explain to me what happens between 2:37 - 2:41. right when he plays what looks like D
Just focus on his hands..it looks like there was an edit cut that makes it jump but if you look at the rest of his body at that exact spot, nothing else jumped...looks like only the hand was edited but the facial expression and position of his head etc stayed consistent with the flow.
+dopemcee Not sure what you're referring to here, but there are no jump cuts at all. This is a single piece of video all the way through. Hope that helps! :)

Very beautiful. Masterful touch on the guitar; brilliantly applied production/mixing techniques... Safe to say this was the full package as usual :)
It would be so cool if you put this stuff online for download and perhaps even on Spotify and such. Given the sound of your covers (given that these videos are more than just random guitar playing), it would be pretty fitting I think. It's better quality production than on most professional studio tracks I hear. Perhaps it wouldn't be worth putting them up for you but you never know, you may still make a bit of money off it in the end. I'd love to listen to your stuff on Spotify along with the rest of my starred/saved songs on there :D

And that's a very valid suggestion - it's one of my top priorities, as soon as I get a moment to create some decent artwork for an album of covers. And yeah, it's hard to find things wrong in what you put out unless it's purely a subjective thing I may or may not like as much, or maybe something I perhaps consider an illogical choice. You really pay attention to detail, musical and otherwise, and have the ear to get it all right, so unless you accidentally miss something, it's unlikely I'd have anything of yours to really criticize. I'll be sure however to give some constructive criticism if and when there's a point when it's actually relevant to put forward ;)
