Not necessarily. In the case of an insurance policy arson, yes I would agree. But if it was some sort of targeted attack from an arsonist against an innocent target, then I would disagree.
they mentioned....multiple starting points.....matches.....the cloth rags to take the fire through out a building....and where did the fire start....too low, for example in the kitchen....just look at the scene and see if any of these things are present....a sort of once over....
Interesting. I remember around 2001 or so, there was a serial arsonist case in the Denver/ Arvada, Westminster area of Colorado. The arsonist called him/ herself "Jane Doe Arsonist" and wrote taunting letters to the Fire Department boasting about his/ her actions. All the places set on fire were abandoned & deteriorating structures like houses and stables that were usually condemned. There was a newspaper article about it. One of the fires happened at a portable building not far from where I live. I grabbed my video camera and filmed the blaze and fire crews fighting it. ( I may post it to TH-cam sometime soon)
Great information for many Fire Departments. I'm just interested in what you do to investigate arson fires, and this gave me a good sense what you do, Thank you, and Have a Happy and Safe 4th of July!
Just so everyone knows, I’m not trying to get away with arson 😂 a guy in my town murdered a guy by burning him alive and it’s got my mind blown so I’m just watching whatever about arson fires/murders.
what about copycat fire what they watch for im trying to learn only some things in how it mostly likely always just like in people being famous for arson or any other crimes it could be anything or any type of reason really - im just larn to spot suspect or odd fires for money or not im trying but i like this stuff on how people think they can get away with it
Some of this is good advice, however, Chief McMullen says that if a fire seems especially hot and/or fast then these are signs of arson. This is wrong. To be fair to Mr McMullen, fire investigators did at one time believe all this, and indeed in the USA, some innocent people were convicted of arson on the basis of these and other myths - and at least one was executed. But then in 1992, the National Fire Protection Association published a document debunking these misconceptions. Insurance companies are still refusing millions in payouts every year on the basis of this bad science and on the subjective opinions of paid experts.
Total junk science... I don't doubt your experience but the six questions don't mean anything... Is the fire more intense than expected??? Throw a piece of plastic or poly foam on your next Bon fire and answer that question... Fuel rich environments and engineered wood products have changed everything my friend. The old ways of looking at things need to change. Flammable ranges of smoke (fuel) and air allowed in determine how the fire behaves and how intense it is. WE propagate the fire by breaking windows and keeping doors open... We should not be investigating unless we are scientists. Just saying!
What department do you belong to? How long have you been a firefighter? If no on these questions, you dont have the authority or intelligence to know fire behavior.
How to get away with arson.
Do you know the six signs of possible arson?
😂
Of course that guy was an arsonist: just look at how he peels that banana at 2:14.
🤣🤣
Another question to ask: Are the photos and valuables missing from the fire scene? Are the valuable cars and antiques removed before the ford started?
good point...
Not necessarily. In the case of an insurance policy arson, yes I would agree. But if it was some sort of targeted attack from an arsonist against an innocent target, then I would disagree.
How is one of the signs of arson “is there any clear indications of arson”
how to tell if something is on fire. step one: Is it on fire?

money is a root of all evil
Actually no. A need to control others is the root of all evil. Money just makes it easier to control others
The love of money is the root of all evil
true
God bless our firefighters!!!
