man youre a lifesaver. Im used to repairing electronics but I was not aware of such resources like the schematics being available. Im so used to having to solve everything myself that I just didnt even bother looking at this point. These resources make life so much easier. And this channel in general helps a ton. Ill deffinitely be coming here again a couple times.

So Louis (big fan BTW) I just got off the phone with AppleCare. My Macbook Pro's left fan is noisy. They sent me a box with a white non-woven bag to put the Macbook in. I put the Macbook in the bag and it turns out the seams on one side of the bag were never welded, the Macbook fell out of the hole in the side and fell four feet and broke a 3/4" wooden shelf. Dinged the Macbook up a bit too. Applecare says if there's damage, I'm responsible b/c I put it in the bag. I told them there was no problem with me putting the Macbook in the bag--mission accomplished. The problem was their bag was defective (not torn BTW, never sealed.). The other side is heat welded. One side got missed enough to leave a gaping hole the size of a Macbook. Any thoughts? I'm going to hold on to the bag in case a judge needs to see it...
This is not the first issue with Applecare. Had a battery replaced in an Iphone for $29 when Apple was trying to avoid a class action lawsuit. Made an appointment for "battery replacement," drove 35 miles to the Apple Store. When it was time for my appointment, they asked "did you order a battery"? No, I made an appointment for battery replacement. "Well you have to order a battery. We don't have any." Apple care never mentioned that. So did that and drove back again 140 miles in toto. Waited in the mall 6 hours for them to replace said battery. When they finally handed me the phone, the screen was dark but had a new clear protector on it and not a scratch. I said "Is this a new screen"? The manager lied and said "No we put those on to protect the screen during repairs." Well, it looks factory. The iPhone wouldn't power up, but the manager said it would need to be recharged for an hour. Of course, it never came back on, so I called Applecare and it turns out they even made notes about how they broke the screen, replaced it and still couldn't get the phone to work, so just gave it back to me broken. Eventually, they sent me a new phone.
Last time I called Applecare to get a Macbook fixed they insisted--for nearly an hour--that Applecare was only for one year. Had to get the original receipt from B&H to prove otherwise. Just pointing out that you are not alone....
Hey Louis, heard you mention several times in this video that you are considering moving to an area that is on the "up swing." Have you considered looking in the Raleigh, NC area? I am likely biased since I live in the area, but I do think it meets a lot of your criteria. Raleigh and the surrounding areas(Cary, Wake forest, Durham) have seen a lot of growth in the recent years and that trend appears to be continuing despite 2020. I think what's appealing about the area is there is a bit of everything, there are city areas right down the road from farmland. There is a good mix of conservative and liberal people, so much so that we have a state with a democratic governor which leaned for Trump this past election cycle. The area has people from many cultures I think due to the amount universities in the area(Duke, NC State, UNC-chapel hill, wake forest). If you haven't looked into the area, I think it might be worth looking into.

I had this MacBook model from 2018 to 2020 and the tiny flex cable connecting to the battery and board stopped working. The battery was no longer recognized. It took me two purchases of this cable so that the board could identify the battery. Huge pain in my ass.

all sorts of crazy bugs in florida? i grew up there, worst one is by far the 'palmetto bug' super common huge roach that flies. also exists in south texas. so does the 'hot all the time' but i feel like you dont understand just how hot 'hot all the time' is lol. the numbers from weather websites/channels just dont do 95 degrees and 95% humidity justice. also there is valid concern with hurricanes, depending where you end up. most floridians arent worried about hurricanes until it becomes a cat 3, because any building built after the mid 90s is rated up to that, you just need to board up windows for flying tree parts and make sure youre not in a flood zone. most damage is cause by flooding not so much being blown away. so a big slow cat 1 (like harvey was in houston) is way worse than a fast cat 2 or even a lower cat 3 because it comes in, blows some shit around, and blows away. harvey kept dumping water for literally a week.
anywho, florida is horribly hot, all the time, has a few freaky bugs, some serious storms on occasion, but no worse than south texas.
you might want to consider the austin area, there are plenty of apple types of people there, its a big city, 3 hours inland to avoid storms.

One advice, Louis: don't take supplements. They're legally treated pretty much like food, but contain all sorts of substances and are not tested like medicines are. So I see these as an expensive gamble with your health. Better ask your doctor for some low dose medicine for which you know exactly which effects and side effects to expect.
Like you said all substance in a supplement is founded in nature it self. Even testosterone is bio compatible lol
@@nataestanislaubastos7637 nope. That wasn't what I said. Supplements are food with either chemicals or unusual herbs added. This doesn't come without danger because:
-may not have been properly tested;
-may contain in fact a medicine that's contraindicated;
-may contain industry-grade chemicals and contaminants. People died this way;
-may simply bring no benefit.
I think medicines prescribed by a doctor, if needed, are a much safer alternative because their effects are very well understood and production is much better supervised than in the case of supplements.
