you had to be there to get it, people who've been subscribers for 8 years were purposely giving ridiculous wrong answers to troll me. it worked. It was a quality troll. :)
@@rossmanngroup ahhhh 😂. Well got me too. I was afraid you were getting frustrated and may be getting discouraged with posting these videos. Not like I ever plan to repair laptops like you but I like seeing you happy and ambitious.
Louis. I'm in IT service management, and am tech curious. I've been watching your videos for a year or two. I have never owned a MacBook, and despite curious interest, have no real hardware repair skills whatsoever. However, while watching this one, I was screaming out PP342_G3HOT is not powering the SMC. Point is... I enjoy your videos. I like you as person, and have huge respect for your convictions. I have a guy air station and have done some limited SMC work with it, thanks to you. I was screaming the answer at my TV while you were getting frustrated at the chat. Your life philosophy, your values, your work ethics, and what you have shared and taught people like me deserves huge respect. I get just as frustrated as you... But at you for being so hard on yourself. But that's Louis, and that what drives your uncompromising, profoundly just stance. So while you get frustrated incorrectly thinking that 7 years and nobody has learnt anything (must have been a bunch of Muppets in the chat at that time), I incorrectly get frustrated at you being so hard on yourself. If it's what drives you, you do you. Do recognise though, that you have taught a lot to many, and that through your videos, you have admirers and supporters around the globe that respect you and want nothing but the best for you. Even though they spell words in a way that frustrates you. 😁✌️☮️
I've been binging your older board repairs all day. Puts me in a good diagnostic mood. I used to listen to them while working trouble tickets/cases as a network technician for At&T wireless. It's good stuff. Thanks.
am gonna be honest , i know nothin about electronics or chipsets or anythin of what u do as am dental technician , but i just find ur videos so exciting , that amount of knowledge u have is so amazin , ive been following u for at least 2 years and i still enjoy ur videos
I enjoy each of your repair videos. The most important thing that you want to help everyone to fix their stuff and not just make money! Man with a big heart full of passion!
You have a great giving heart. For all your snark and necessary profits, you are giving so so much to so many. Please keep on doing exactly what you’re doing!
For what it’s worth, I listen to and watch your videos to support you and I live for your commentary, but I stopped working on my own computers in 2004. Don’t stop making videos! It gets me through my workdays!
I like the board repair videos as well. Watch everyone been watching them for years. Thanks for your time. And I may not be able to answer your questions. But watching your Videos are not a waste of time. I have fixed multiple problems with wiring and modules on vehicles. Your process works the same way for finding the problems on multiple things not just mac books and also have done minor board repairs on multiple different things and save loads of money over the years. Thanks again I hope I always see these board repair videos.
Thanks for providing all the resources that you do! I recently bought a liquid damaged MacBook Pro off eBay with the intent of learning board repair, and actually got the board up and running again! It's such a rewarding feeling when you get that fan spin and hear the Apple chime. Thanks again!
Shilling is definitely acceptable from an individual who has spent years providing free education to anyone who is interested. With as crazy as our world has become, some days I wonder why you have given so freely of your knowledge. Usually, I then remember why I spent a decade & a half in the military, being well aware that I would be paid shit & have people shooting at me and I realize that, even though we are from far different places since I grew up in the middle of Montana, our country is one of the last places where most citizens are taught by their parents that it is your duty to sacrifice what you have to to make things better for those who come after you. Thanks Louis, your patriotism over the last decade is much appreciated. I may never do board repair for a living, but I could if I had to thanks to your constant sacrifice & tutelage.
Most recent macbook repair video I saw, I just got my 2020 macbook pro back from them today, they have excellent service! very friendly and clear and quick communication. Along, with a very clear page with the invoice and message center. Will definitely use them for future repairs!
not a big deal but thanks to youtubers like you I got a basic multimeter and am able to do simple problem determination like is a 13A fuse good or is a charger outputting voltage etc - Thank you
@ 18:10 "If this thing gets dropped off of a building, and the SSD is dead, and the screen is broken, AND THE CPU'S _BALLS_ ARE POPPING OUT....." LMAO!!! 😂🤣
Thanks for this! Just a tiny request - can you change the mouse pointer to a solid colour, maybe just a fraction larger? Kinda hard to determine exactly what you're pointing at.
Louis I would seriously like to hear you do a rap with the serial number call and wire route business... 😆 I probably have been watching for eight years on and off and I would’ve answered all the questions wrong but I know how to spray alcohol on the circuitboard to find out which resistors burning up so thanks for that. Love, a sub.
As soon as you said "its how you use it".. i was waiting for the "its not how big it is, its how you use it" joke to come, and you did not dissapoint 😁
I tried reaching out to your texas location to repair a screen on the m3 pro. It has a puncture on it from something being in the case when i closed it. Do you know how long it will be before you can do the service?
18:10 You may not know where the South Pole of planet Earth is located, but you need to know that the PP3v4_G3hot resistor is responsible for the green light.
Man, after watching this video, this reminded me how repairs are done in some parts in Mumbai. If you are able to market this stuff there somehow it can be a good way to prppogate and montnitize this video. Or your training course to be more specific. Parts are kind of available in black markets like chor bazar, or few specific districts in Mumbai. Lot's of electronic components.
Guess what: my logic board of the 2019 MacBook Pro with T2 chip just died and I am thinking of fixing it with you in several days in New York. I broke the Mac on 12 November, so what a coincidence!
Hey, guys. What's the name of the tool Louis is using to know how many power the board is taking? I'm talking about those numbers on the left top corner of this video. Thx.😊
i have a macbook pro mid 2012 and it didnt boot .. i left it for many years sitting in the corner .. then one day i decided.. lets try it again .. of course it still didnt boot.. so i put in the freezer for an hour .. and then took it out .. booted immediately .. and its been on ever since .. i dont use it at all.. the keyboard is still dead lol..
Dear Louis, just out of curiosity, there's some specific reason to pull trivial parts like capacitors from donor boards instead of using new parts? Maybe even apple capacitors are somewhat special?
He said that its not worth it to waste time looking up capacitors value on the scheme and pull up a book with collection of them. It's much faster to grab already dead board and take it from here. As a bonus, you are actually using donor boards for free parts
Spilled orange juice on my Mac air last night … turned it upside down to dry it turned on this morning ??!!?? turned it off … will wait 24 more hours … Maybe a drop still hidden under key letters ??😆 Anyhooo …
Well, I wasn't in Twitch but fuck I know PP3V42_G3H is the answer just because how many times you say it. Macbook no boot troubleshooting: 1. Make sure it's plugged in, on both ends, in a working outlet. 2. Push the power button, because yes, Macs DO have power buttons. 3. Check PP3V42_G3H.
How long before laptop sales drop off so much that they won't be manufactured. Smart Phones will do it all and they will be preferred but not as easily repaired. Do you have any stats on the number of repairs you have done each year and the decline in numbers?

You have many different audiences. You chose to be a social influencer instead of just a technician. So when broadcasting these kind of repairing videos you will find many disorientated people who don’t expect them, and many orientated technicians still learning. Your audience doesn’t have to be the same as 7 years ago. In fact you have “kind of” changed it. On purpose. So, please, respect us and be patient. I am very very happy that you still do repairing videos. But I don’t enjoy them if I don’t see you enjoying it, or if you blame your audience. Thank you for your videos!
Gotta keep in mind your audience. It’s people who want to learn not who already know. Don’t get frustrated when people don’t know the answer.
