I love it so much seeing you doing that food tours :) and of course the way you're interacting with each other and the locals in your videos. Really great and inspirational videos
@@SammyandTommy Thanks for this food tour! Wonderful and makes us so hungry ;) Please ,Where did you find the nice food tourist guid? Is it a tourist office in Palermo? cheers from Norway/Europe
Great video. The foods that you showcased looked delicious, especially the conoli in the 800 year old monastery. Palermo is a very fascinating city. The lady that led the food tour was extremely pleasant and informative!
I've just found your channel - and I'm so glad I did! Obsessed with everything Italy, so I will be following you with joy. Such a lovely family you are, enjoying the best thing in the world - TRAVEL!! 🤩🤩
Really enjoyed this, sicily is a family hot spot for our family for many years… but we never gave Palermo a chance 🤨Maybe next time! Our daughter went to Sicily with school (they visited Palermo for a few days) and she loved it and she said we would love it and also that there is a whole lot more to see in surrounding areas! A la Norma (Tom Aub and Sicilian ricotta) is typical Sicilian and is the best you can have this combination in a pizza and it is to die for ! This particular cheese I have never found it outside Sicily and I LOVE it so much I usually get an entire ricotta in quater under vacuum seal and keep it for months in my fridge well if it lasts 😜 I always book extra luggage on way back booked for all the food wine any goodies I can get my hands on 😂 (same with Corsica 🇫🇷 nearby French island) if you have the chance to visit try local food it’s amazing and you won’t find it outside of this beautiful place… I need to catch up on your vlogs we are just coming back from Northern Iceland 🇮🇸 ❤ (Highly recommend I don’t know if this is in your plans) Take Care Sabrina ( I was wondering did you film October? The weather still look very nice)
My wife and I were in Sicily in November (Catania and Palermo). We didn't expect to like Palermo as much as we did. We were pleasantly surprised by the city. We didn't do a food tour, but we will definitely consider it next time. We ate some really good food in the Vuccaria area of the city.
It really depends on the altitude. In Palermo and in the other coastal cities we usually have in February standard temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees Celsius or even higher, but we may also have (quite rarely) minimum winter temperatures of 7 Celsius. However, in the smaller villages which are located in the mountains in the inner part of Sicily, we have colder winters and sometimes it may even snow for a few hours or days in January or February. If I were you, unless I go to Palermo in July or August, I would always take some autumn outfit with me, just in case.
Si e ci avete rovinato la vita per sempre!!!!!!! Voi americani site la rovina del mondo. Mangiate schifezze e poi osannate la bellezza di quello che e' rimasto dell'Italia ......fate schifo!!!!!!!!
Everything looked great! Question: Can someone who doesn't eat pork participate in the food tour? I make an exception for Salami on my charcuterie board, though 😂
Must be difficult being married with the children and traveling so much. We learn in God's perfect word that children are the reward from God for those in a marriage. So if you can travel and make that work all the better.
If they have gluten free or dairy free. I would try stuff. Only. I live I. Huston. And they have terrible options for gluten free food. I am not a fine of Texas yuck.
Sicily is great apart from the rubbish everywhere and the spray painted walls of graffiti- lovely people but gangs of immigrants hanging around on street corners at night
You call that the ultimate street foods??😂 Italian foods are just plain bread cheese butter. No flavors! You can have that in the states. Foods no good. City yes beautiful!
Ciao buona vita.
❤ the portraits of locals you been adding into the videos recently - molto bene! 🇮🇹

I mean seriously...why travel if you're not going to constantly eat? lol My travels are always centered around the food!
So true 😂 It's hard to travel anywhere if they don't have great food options.

Winter never really arrives in Sicily, does it?!
It felt like summer when we were still there! Wonderful weather

Great video. Hard to believe that 80 years ago Patton’s 7th Army would’ve been rolling down those same streets in tanks and troops to cheering crowds.
Thanks of sharing friend! That is very hard to believe. We really enjoyed our time in this city!

Very long winded, general and way too many mouth shots.

Italian cuisine is the number 1 in all the TasteAtlas rankings which are those that count in the world. Greece is number 2 and Spain number 3.
I bet you had your "Italian food" in the US 😆
