@And I'm Still Here Idiots Of course Short has an idea beforehand of how he's going to insult his guest, but not everything is staged, particularly not the interaction between host and guest when the battle of wits arises. Don't be retarded.
I guess Between Two Ferns is close enough. Seems like a clone actually. Cheap set, get the guests name wrong or pretend to forget it, take shots at their work, do the snooze sound for a boring answer. He just replaced donuts with a buzzer.
This was actually an interesting performance by Lovitz. He managed to push back against Jiminy, without going too far and ruining it. He walked the edge without falling off.
If anyone is reading this..HELP! I'm in an endless cycle of binging Jiminy Glick. I've been stuck in this room for several days don't know if it's light or dark outside time has no meaning anymore..is this the end?
I think the most endearing aspect to Jiminy Glick's interviews is the way his guests react to his outrageous comments, questions, and they way he gets everything dead wrong about them.
Lovitz had the perfect response to that situation. Trying not to laugh at Martin doing Jiminy Glick while dealing with his questions. He more than held his own. It's not a given that putting two comics together will add to the laughs but this time it sure did!
Came back to watch these- looking at the comments, so many people just finding Glick now. That is great! Glick is doing interviews this week on Jimmy Kimmel!
One of the best pair-ups, for a 'Glick-Skit'...Jon seemed bored & wanted to unleash a bit more, but he definately helped Martin get 'in the zone' better than some.
One of his best interviews I was laughing out loud!! Ive been watching all his interviews for the past 2 days. He is a comic Genius!! I loved the kiss with Ellen Degeneres and Cheri Oteri LOL!!!
Lovitz got his shots in. As Glick Short always dominates the speaking time but I am impressed that even today Martin Short is still extremely quick witted.
It really makes me happy to see people discovering Glick. The character was popular, so they gave Glick his own TV show. A parody of a talk show. With a band and everything. These are the interview parts from the show. BTW on Jimmy Kimmel, Glick is doing new interviews all this week. It's on TH-cam.
Martin Short is a truely a gifted comic. Not much makes me LOL - but he manages this bizarre character while making fun of these self-important celebs at the same time. His timing is mind boggling.
I love his birthday/birthdate bit. He does this with every guest. “You share a birthday with Jerry Seinfeld” then they ask, really we were born on the same day, he was born in June 10? And Jimmy always pauses and looks confused and says “ I don’t know when Jerry was born?” 😆
I'm sitting here watching it rain (for days with gray skies in south central Colorado) and I needed a laff. Thank god I found this! Oy, what a hoot! Where are you today?!
I love how Jiminy keeps hitting Jon with his rolled up papers. "I LOVE (whack) Harvey Fierstein! He's so (whack) much (whack) fun (whack)! Harvey Fierstein!"
Jiminy ( martin Short) should do a few more of these, some young stars some repeats from the past, some reality tv starts and if they don't know the joke it would be even better.
You know, and I think that I can speak for everyone, Jon "That's the Ticket" Lovitz is a Gem. Wonderful.. Wonderful.. Wonderful.. Wonderful.. Wonderful.. Wonderful.. Wonderful.. Wonderful.......
One of my favs...love it at lovitz had the perfect spirit...lovits was actually very funny with the eating donuts bit then martin one upped him with the heart attack question...funniest moment in the bit..lovitz couldnt help but lose it.
I remember finding this on comedy central as a kid in the early 2000s and it's probably what seriously put me on to comedy. Martin Short is a fucking genius.
"I had Billy Graham's son out here, and I asked him the same questions, and his answers were totally different!" Riiiiiiiight, and Jiminy is married to Morgan Fairchild, who he's seen naked, yeah, that's the ticket. Jon Lovitz has a unique personality which I find to be exceedingly humorous. These two could have gone on for an hour or two and easily kept my interest. Cheers!
If you look away and pay attention to their voice, the sound the same, then if you look back at the screen, they also look the same. Cool little fact I guess
This was a great role for Martin Short, I really liked his SCTV years as well. John Lovitz had some great moments on SNL as Opera Man and other characters.
"You share a birthday with Josh Hartnett.. and I thought he was so wonderful in Pearl Harbor..and I was so sad to hear what Ben went through with the drinking.. where do you think that leaves Josh today?" lol
In this " Pearl Harbor " it was sad to see that the film's manufacturers felt the need and actually took liberties to embellish the story. Would have been a better film had they not.
@@felyxmillicent6538 thanks! after googling now I see the following "Alcohol and Divorce Ben Affleck met Jennifer Garner on the set of Pearl Harbor in 2020, where they hit it off and eventually married. However, Ben Affleck has a history of alcohol abuse that reared its ugly head during the marriage. It’s a reason for the divorce and the alcohol abuse continued long after."
Just discovering Jiminy Glick in 2022 feels like being super late to the coolest party in the 90s
Same 😂
😂😂😂
When Jiminy's got his hands in the mix, we're all family.
Now, eat a handful of donut; you've got some catching up to do.
Martin Short's witty improv when he roasts other comedians and catches them off guard is brilliant. Lovitz also held himself well.
@And I'm Still Here Idiots Of course Short has an idea beforehand of how he's going to insult his guest, but not everything is staged, particularly not the interaction between host and guest when the battle of wits arises. Don't be retarded.
I demand a reboot of this show
ME TOO
I guess Between Two Ferns is close enough. Seems like a clone actually. Cheap set, get the guests name wrong or pretend to forget it, take shots at their work, do the snooze sound for a boring answer. He just replaced donuts with a buzzer.
Check out Maya and Marty. He shows up there occasionally.
Me too !!!!
@@jjryan1352 Between two ferns is not as funny though. It's too dry and deadpan and also more staged
You can tell Martin loved him as a guest. He played into it perfectly.
''you've done so many wonderful characters and,,, none of
them spring to mind...'' ha ha..excellent.
These are just killing me ! Jiminy, please come back ! I haven't laughed so hard in a couple years.
He is wonderful.....isn't he?
This was actually an interesting performance by Lovitz. He managed to push back against Jiminy, without going too far and ruining it. He walked the edge without falling off.
Very true Sir - well observed
Yes. I feel like they maybe friends, or have worked together before?
Yeah, pushing back without ruining it. Jerry Seinfeld on the other hand!
He certainly showed his racist tendencies.🤦♂️
@@Alvan81 ^*may be, not maybe, and of course they’ve worked together before.🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Lovitz had great chemistry with Glick.
it's because they are essentially the same person 😆
Potential romantic chemistry, even
He does that with everyone. Underrated comic
Lovitz is a comedians comedian, definitely a legend
I’m in awe of Jon Lovtiz on this. The timing, the reactions, it’s all perfect.
4:53
"I want you to leave"
-"No, lets keep going".
"Alright".
Shadow Heart . That part kills me. He is so hilarious.
So quick.

Broo same here rn!
Yup. It's the end. Sorry.
BTW, Glick is appearing all week on Jimmy Kimmel.
Jiminy Glick is like the final boss fight of being a celebrity
Hahaha 👌
Martin Short KNOWS these people...so he knows exactly what to say to ZING them!!!!! He is AMAZING!!
This is one of the best ones. This & Ice Cube so far are my favourites. You can tell Martin Short loves Lovitz.
"so your suit didn't arrive.." lol
I loved Martin Short as Jiminy Glick - these two together are hilarious. Martin cracks up Lovitz.
I think few people can make Jon Lovitz laugh like Martin Short, that was amazing to watch :-)
Absolute upper hand from the very first quip. The master at work.
I think the most endearing aspect to Jiminy Glick's interviews is the way his guests react to his outrageous comments, questions, and they way he gets everything dead wrong about them.
Yes, that's the fun. Everyone handles the interview differently. And Martin has a nimble wit.
Martin short seems like such a nice guy. Be a fun guy to hang out with.
Lovitz had the perfect response to that situation. Trying not to laugh at Martin doing Jiminy Glick while dealing with his questions. He more than held his own. It's not a given that putting two comics together will add to the laughs but this time it sure did!
"I did love you as the MASTER LESBIAN" I almost burst out laughing in the middle of the office holy shit lol
I see 2 old SNL buddies when I see this. Nice👍
I really like watching Jon Lovitz, we don't see him around much anymore.
"I have a photograph of Jon Lovitz naked, and it's the most frightening thing you've ever seen." -J.Glick
not enough inflammation por moi
He’s like a ken doll. There’s simply nothing there.
'Have you had a stroke just now?' Please, I'm dying...
Your eyes are glassy!
I lost it there that was so great.
That killed me .

For me, hands down, this is the best Glick segment
It's a crime this show was cancelled.

I miss Jiminy. Give it to him Jiminy! Lovitz is a scream.
Martin Short is so fast with his comedy. Really puts Lovitz at a disadvantage. lol

@@andrewhaywood1770 Agreed, dude hasn't slowed down a bit.
Keep the glasses Jiminy! They are so perfect. Love you!
I just miss this show so much thanks for uploading them.
this was by far the best Jiminy Glick episode
This one was great but check out when he interviews Mel Brooks and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
I love the intermittent deep voice!! 😂😂😂😂
For the most part John played it straight, which makes this one cool
How did I not discover these skits before, they've been out for yrs..

Copy of city TV celebrity interviewer in the 80s.

I may have just ruined my computer with a spit take. Brilliant.
I thought the Tom Hanks was great, but this one is the YT Comedy award winner of all time!!!
I love how they really dress each other down, and somehow manage to be wearing another layer underneath; icons.
We need more of this.
These two are some of the funniest.
This was glicks best interview
3:01 is funny. He makes Lovitz crack up. This is great. I liked john in wedding singer: "He's losing his MIND....."
Probably my new favorite jiminy interview. Jon’s getting constantly beat up by jiminy 😂

I think Jon Lovits would have been a much bigger star if he was working as a comedic actor in the 40s and 5Qs. So underrated
Loved John Luvits in the TV series Las Vegas 😍 he was terrific with the cast especially another favorite James Caan 😀
Yes, Joan Lubnitz is right there.
I never even saw Jiminy Glick until now. We're talking about a lot of years of not even knowing this existed.
Believe me, I can understand, same for me. I somehow stumble upon it on Instagram one day and now I am addicted to it.
I was fortunate enough to watch it on comedy central back in 2002 and it's still just as funny
