So happy for that woman recovering from cancer get leadership of her dog (who looks totally devoted to her) and her great supportive friends at the dog park--beautiful story. Thank you, Cesar.
A beautiful woman (inside and out) that is fighting her own battles to just keep on living and still has the time and energy to help Cupid.....great lady!!!!
It's great that a whole community got Cesar's help for a lovely, fragile, healing woman who was in danger. Bless you all, and bless you, Cesar, for helping dogs so brilliantly. You also help millions of people you never even meet. (I remember Titan' story. I hope that _Brent_ is doing well - with a great new romantic partner!)
“She has the right dog, she just needs to be right for the dog.” That simple statement says so much about how those of us who have dogs and those who will get one eventually need to learn and maintain. Our dogs deserve it.
What a wonderful group of people! It's great to see so many people find a way to connect with each other in a deep and meaningful way. Of course, Cesar rushed to help, he is a humanitarian with a talent for helping people, as well as dogs. Even so, what Marylin needs is a Yorkie or a Schnauzer.
Watching so many of these stories where we see the story of the dog owner makes me realize that we need to have a lot of empathy for owners struggling with bad dog behavior because it almost always seems to start because of some difficulties the owner is experiencing, whether it is a difficult transition, disruption in the home, health crisis, etc.. Even just anxiety and low confidence on the part of the human is something to have compassion for. It’s so easy to blame the people out of fear and judgment, but it just makes things worse for everyone.
This really hit home. We have a similar group at our dog park. Amazing people and awesome dogs. Everyone is so respectful of each dog’s disposition. If a dog doesn’t play well with others we just wait to go into that part of the park. It’s all about the communication, on both sides. Best of luck to all 😊
These people at this dog park are so beautiful. I belong to a large dog park, its 59km and I have made some beautiful friends there but that dog park is definitely very special. I learn so much from watching Cesars videos
It's ofcourse a 2 sided issue. The dog's being great cause she instinctively felt/knew her owner was more vulnerable and Might be in need of protecting..
Yeah, the young girl was just throwing shade at her ex. They obviously had too much friction going on. But what she should have admitted is that her attitude was the problem. Once Cesar fixed her attitude a little bit, then the dog responded. Of course being in a bad relationship would lower her self esteem and become more weak, which would trigger the dog in a negative way.
I have told people for decades now that dogs take on the disposition of their owners. And Cesar shows it every time as he corrects people and helps dogs. People!
Marilyn is so beautiful with such a gentle soul 💕 I totally understand why the dog park community all love her so much! 💗 She seems like such an amazing person.
If you’re walking your dog and ever see a lady like that walking a dog like that best keep your dog and yourself far away from them because the dog is definitely running that show and it’s only a matter of time.
Mean as. Our dog is half the size of cupid, but has issues with small dogs. She wants to like dominate them it seems or she not to sure what to do around them. If left to go, she will stand over them and growl hard core with her teeth showing Good work with that lady Caesar. Awesome as❤
I'm proud of Cesar for helping a fragile woman recovering from cancer and back injury. And the community became her family and supported her on her gurney. And the other women she happily removed her ex partner who was the problem in her horrible situation where she was being mentally abusive
God I know this happened years ago but hearing these people talk so lovely about her and wanting the best for her and her dog Cupid really made me tear up. Good friends, even lovely friends. A beautiful village of friends and dogs, I wish my dog was able to be in.
"Maralyn is so strong and brave, and it’s wonderful that Cupid is there to protect her. Her dog is so big-it must be a challenge to control! God bless you, Maralyn; you’re going to be okay. As a cancer survivor and a fellow dog owner, I understand how comforting it is to have the support of friends at the dog park. I wish I had that too. xxx"
I live in the Uk. Dogs are not usually kept on a lead where I live. We can walk along the canal and come face to face with other dogs, but no one seems to bother because they are usually left to run free. A lot of cafes and shops are dog friendly as well and it's great just going up to pat a dog. Occasionally a dog is muzzled, but my dog was always allowed to play with them. Cesar is right, it's the owners who cause problems.
@@Somebodyiswatchingallofus Your comment has zero merit. Mental illness is not direct correlation to bad dog behavior. A lot of dog owners 1. Never had a dog before and don’t know how to properly train a dog. Or never get professional training. 2. Don’t know how to be a pack leader. 3. Believe a dog will eventually get it. 4. Don’t understand the dog breed they have its needs. 5. Don’t give the dog the exercise nor attention it really needs.

This will be the last time I watch these videos, just drives me mad at the owners that have zero idea of a dogs needs, they should have them taken away or made to pay for a course on how to bring a dog up properly.
I would love for Caesar to come help me with my wild jack Russel / crested mix. He can be so sweet but the constant jumping on people and nipping is an issue. Everyone says he is just a puppy they all do that. This isn’t my first pup and my other dogs didn’t do this. He is 7months old now and still doing it. He has a shock collar and I use the beep and vibration and it deters him for a little bit until you try petting him all he wants to do is bite and jump. My arms and legs look horrible where he scratches me jumping or soaring across the room mid air and land on me. He is very hyper. I need your guidance Caesar
@@labchic97 ok. Thats a good start. So you CAN control him then? So how can he lunge & soar cross the room if he’s in your control? You’re giving him too much freedom. Crate him when ur not working with him or training. Teach him to enter crate by using treats (high value - chx cheese peanut butter etc). Toss a piece in the crate & tell him “go in your crate”. Keep repeating this. Eventually close crate door while he’s inside. Then before letting him out of crate, you wait til he’s calm. Slowly open the door, he pops up from sit, you close door. Wait til he sits again. Start the process over. Slowly open crate door, he pops up to rush out, door gets closed on him. Sounds like he might take 30-40 tries before he gets it. But he WILL get it. And THAT is where the calmness starts. He needs to start learning that he will have little freedom until he begins controlling his impulses & excitement. If he’s this hyper now, it’s only going to get worse. So I highly encourage you start implementing what I’m explaining. Then start place work. Send him to place (a bed in the living room) or use the crate again. use body pressure when he pops up to get off or run out/or close the crate door. Rinse & repeat. He will eventually lay down & relax. He is not allowed off until you give him “free” command. His demeanor just by this work will start to change. Repetition daily. Reward him in his crate or on place with his breakfast or dinner kibble. Don’t just give him his meal in a bowl and walk off. Create value & a respectful role by being directly in control of him receiving food. I could go on & on but that’s a good start. And perhaps change to slip leash to guide him to his place or stop him when he goes to flee off his bed.
@@K9_Queen thanks for the tips! He is very high energy! He is learning his place on the bed it’s a slow process but he gets it. As far as the crate he will go in but I thought I shouldn’t use the crate for punishment anyway I will try your tips. Thanks again
I would love for you to come down into my neighborhood, but it’s a very long way from where you’re at and I never see it to happen. My son has a problem walking his border collie mix Australian shepherd wants to bark and pull on the leash at people and animals that he comes in contact with while walking. I think it’s because my son is so frustrated and doesn’t calm down when walking him, but he says he’s tried everything and he’s just at his wits trying to figure out what to do.
My son's family just took a friend's dog because of owner injury. Problem is barking any time the family leaves. Has Cesar put out a video about this ? THANKS !
The instant you see Cupid you know she’s being protective. The owner doesn’t have the right energy to control. Not strong follow through energy in her voice. The dog probably also picking up on the owner’s illness and vulnerability.
Sorry but when you are physically unable to handle your dog, and furthermore the dog seems to lead all the way and weight over a hundred pounds, this dog is not for you. Sorry.
I agree. It's irresponsable and putting others at risk. I walk my smallish dog always looking at the owner and the dogs around. I've seen children with dogs who just can't handle the dog and run toward us. The worst is those entitled people don't even apologize for disturbing our peace!!! If I wasn't on alert and able to pick up my dog, many times I could end up in a dog fight. Or worst my dog killed. Selfish people don't care they want a dog regardless if they can handle.
This lady doesn’t belong at a dog park with this kind of dog. She’s naturally intimidated and not controlling at all. If her dog is attacking another dog, you think her type of character will break up this fight? It’ll be on the other owner. Good luck everyone!
