  • Well, here we are in the second oldest historic neighborhood in downtown Tucson, Arizona. The architecture is mostly Sonoran Traditional, where zero setbacks are common, creating long, continuous streetscapes of houses, offices, and shops. The Barrio Viejo is also an eclectic mix of old homes, boarded-up homes, new homes, and businesses with a unique blend of Mexican colorful-style design As you can see... Many of the owners add their own personal touches, expressing their creativity and sense of color. The area is so unique historically, architecturally and culturally that you cannot miss it when you are around. Did you like this area? Can you imagine living in this barrio? If you want to open the doors of your own new home and start expressing your creativity, please give me call I will love to show you a property in this barrio.

Yes, these houses are "superficially" beautiful gentrified homes in this beloved Barrio. Unfortunately, this type of "renewal" is pricing most people out of owning these homes. I am talking about people who want to lay down roots and live here generations. Some of these homes have a turnover of "owners." Yes they are colorfully beautiful.

The gentrification in Tucson is getting ridiculous there are people pricing out long time Tucson residents on the Westside (a place that was long affordable for families) now.
